San Antonio Spurs Hiring Sean Sweeney My Thoughts!!
yo what’s going on guys this Houston sports talk back in the video today and today the San Antonio Spurs are hying Sean Sweeney Dallas Mavericks assistant coach who’s been with them the last four seasons going back to the 202122 season and has been with Dallas for most of Jason Kidd’s time with the Mavericks only one season that uh Sweeney has not been with Dallas um since Jason Kidd has been in Dallas it was the 20 Jason Kidd’s first season in Dallas was the 202021 season it’s the only year that Sweeny’s not been under Jason Kidd’s staff in Dallas and now uh for the first time since the 202021 season next year Kidd will be without one of his lead assistants Sean Sweeney sean Sweeney has been a guy that has been uh a candidate for the Suns coaching job the last two years um and then also was a candidate for the Pistons job last year and now he will be the associate head coach next to Mitch Johnson in San Antonio i think this is a great hire to get uh you know to get Mitch Johnson uh in San Antonio a guy with a lot of experience for his coaching staff i mean you look at Sweeney he’s been an assistant since the 20134 season has been under uh you know has been under a guy like Jason Kidd for the last four seasons um and you know has a lot of experience go back you know with you know he was with Detroit for for three seasons uh before he went to Dallas was with so he’s been with Dwayne Casey he’s been with you know he’s been with Jason Kid um and so you know he has a lot of experience he’s been a coach since 20134 season as an assistant and now uh that exper he can pass that experience on to the new head coach Mitch Johnson i know that Sweeny’s never been a head coach but he’s been a guy that’s been in that candidate he’s been he’s been a candidate for multiple jobs in the last couple years and so I really like this here this hiring for the Spurs and Mitch Johnson’s staff but let me know your thoughts on the hire for the San Antonio Spurs the question is how does Dallas replace him there are some rumors going around that they might bring in Frank Vogle uh to take over his spot vogle’s been with the team as a consultant but we’ll see if Vogle takes you know takes over that spot for uh the Mavs let me know your thoughts in the comments section that’s the video hope you guys enjoyed and peace out
