good morning raptor freaks lexi oats here sunday morning coming in a little early um it is sunday report and today my sunday report is on the playoffs this year for the nba and just commenting on how the playoffs have been fantastic the playoffs have been competitive the playoffs have been full of excitement and surprises and you know in some ways the script writing of the nba was not dominating the outcomes of the games which was fantastic i really like it when results seem organic and teams that aren’t favored u get somewhere in the playoffs because it seems like often you know the nba can manipulate who wins games for narratives and maybe marketing and storylines but i don’t get any of those fingerprints from this uh playoff because in some ways the teams that are in the end sure oklahoma city probably was going to be in the finals but indiana wasn’t and uh this is great because honestly i don’t want to be able to just say “oh it’s the celtics versus the thunder at the end of the year.” i don’t want to be able to do that because i feel like that ruins the whole season you don’t want to watch the whole season or the playoffs if you think that the nba’s already set up who they think they should the be the main event so the unpredictability the fact that teams that are best teams as far as they play like teams are in the finals the fact that they’re playing very high level basketball team basketball this is all great stuff and i really do hope that this is the beginning of a new era in the nba where we’re going to see more of this coming forward i don’t care which teams make the finals i just want the teams that make the finals to be there ethically and for the right reasons and for some reason some of the teams that made the finals in past years i don’t believe actually got there totally on their own merit that sometimes the nba will give a little push or little nudge to help certain teams maybe teams with lebron on them or jason tatum and uh i’m just glad that this was a very organic playoff with a lot of surprises a lot of close games a lot of games with a lot of high intrigue and pressure and fun and well we’re going to culminate it today with a game seven tonight uh indiana pacers at oklahoma city thunder and it’s it’s fantastic this is a game seven that is truly could go either way you know often you know in these kind of series like this especially in the finals the final series of the nba season there could be a very lopsided uh matchup where both teams you know they’re not exactly equal one team may be more of a juggernaut like the celtics last year and the mavericks just a two-man show that i don’t even know how they got to the finals last year dallas mavericks getting to the finals last year was is stupid and ridiculous and the western teams fumbled to allow uh that team get to the finals because they were not a finals team last year dallas mavericks so it’s great that we’re going to have a game seven tonight where it’s going to be high intrigue high excitement anything could happen i tell you right now sure oklahoma city may be favored but the pacers have a chance to win because it’s just one and done whoever wins tonight will win the championship for this year and uh you know i wouldn’t count out rick carile pascal seakum and the crew from giving it a good shot in trying to win tonight so i’m excited man it’s game seven vibes man game seven vibes ain’t nothing better than that and we’ll have to see if this young thunder team is ready to meet that kind of energy in a game seven like this on their home court you know they’re young guys and in some ways that escalator to the larry o’brien you know it’s it’s the top steps are really tough to leap up onto to get to that very top indiana in some ways if we’re really looking at my escalator uh analogy they may be on the step ahead of them just from experience and uh age and uh you know and i’m talking about with the coach i’m talking about with the age bracket of their team i’m talking about miles turner i’m talking about pascal seakum that in some ways they have more experience in this and i would say that they may be one step higher on the escalator to larry o’brien than than uh the thunder can the thunder leapfrog them with a homecourt advantage and youthful enthusiasm to beat the pacers tonight probably maybe we’ll have to see let them play it all out on the court and even if the thunder defeat the the pacers for most of the game doesn’t mean they got undefeated because we’ve seen at the very end of the game the pacers can come back and steal a game really really quick with not much time left in the fourth quarter so it’s going to be right up till the last buzzer and if you’re a basketball purist the person that really loves team basketball and the the the real sport not just some casual who maybe never played and they just like the style maybe they’re just intrigued with the cult of personality of the players you know oh i’m a lebron fan no i don’t really watch the nba but i love lebron they had such a cool song for him lately i love him that’s how i got into it you know this [ __ ] no i started watching this because of detroit pistons bad boys because they were bad boys and they used to beat up people and they played team ball bill lambir benny johnson isaiah thomas joe dumar and you know that that’s what i’m saying it’s a team sport and if you’re into the individual era the superstar era and you just care about people like kevin durant steph curry and uh draymond green you are not the right kind of fan i would much rather like a collective a team of nine a team of 10 a team with a good coach and a team that plays with each other than some team that just over isolates their superstar over and over again every possession and expects us to call that basketball no the last era of the nba almost ruined the sport and well i think that adam silver has been doing great damage control with some of the new rules with the salary cap and allowing parody in this league and allowing any team to have a chance to compete because the old model was not good for this and it really was a bad business model the business model is much better now in some ways he needs to mimic his predecessor david stern on how he created a healthy ecosystem in the nba and that was in some ways once again allowing all 30 teams an equal shot at trying to win the championship why would you root for your team in charlotte if you never ever were going to get chance to ever get to the championship because it’s just not realistic and it may not be realistic for a franchise like charlotte because they’re just poorly managed but they need to have the ability to believe that it could happen and that there is a path to do it otherwise there’s no ticket sales and the team folds and runs out of business the way that the espn has marketed the nba has been hurtful and detrimental to the product they put down players teams all kinds of different things just to be snide little piece of [ __ ] bullies oh yeah why you make fun of pascal seakum make fun of the raptors for all these years make fun of different teams and players and then you wonder why everybody disrespects the nba and thinks the product sucks because y’all taught them to think that with your negative coverage and your snide childish immature coverage stephen a smith and a lot of y’all on espn seriously you you trained the fans to be the way they are and look down on the product and you actually devalued your own product i think that most employers want their employees to bring up profits to bring up value for the company not devalue it and i think that’s been the biggest mistake the whole time that espn abc disney has been partnership with the nba is that they have devalued the product on the download for many many years and now the fans are taught to be toxic and devalue the product on their own because this is what the talking heads on tv do so it’s like yeah adam silver you want to increase your product you want to increase sales you want to increase your uh your overall u you know earnings well stop hiring people that put down your product from within it’s almost like you walk into a store to buy a tv and the tv salesman’s like “hey come on in i want to show you some tvs this tv right here is pretty good but honestly you don’t really want that one it’s uh probably too expensive or it may break on you.” yeah this one yeah you don’t want this one either it’s almost black and white honestly it’s so old you know do you want a salesman like that working in your tv store trying to sell tvs for you no and that’s what espn has been for you selling the nba product yeah yeah and that’s why you need to replace all those jabronies on espn with the inside the nba tnt crew yeah get rid of all the jabronies in espn clean house get rid of all of them and hire everybody from other places that uh just lost their jobs from the contract changing just bring the whole tnt crew in and just replace uh the espn people at tnt now i know the tnt guys put down the product too shaq kenny charles but in some ways they’re fair about it and they’re more entertaining about it at least that’s what i would say they’re a little bit more fair about it but shaq you need to study the whole nba and stop disrespecting teams that you don’t follow you need to follow all of them you get paid the big bucks you’re on tv like that shaquille o’neal you need to follow all 30 teams and understand uh you know the players who are in the league at this time that’s your job bro that’s your job and you should do your job that’s what i’m saying you know these half-ass announcers that don’t study the whole entire nba don’t know all the players in the league i know you could do this because i did this as a kid year in and year out i knew every single player in the nba i knew every single player where they were playing i knew everything about the role and what they were doing on each team and well i don’t understand why espn and uh nba analysis can’t do this yourselves that’s your damn job you get paid to do it so cover all 30 teams and be up to speed on everybody and if you don’t know about toronto well that’s your own damn fault don’t act like you’re an expert on them then if you come on tv because you don’t know what you’re talking about if you don’t study toronto or follow the raptors seriously i don’t want to hear you guys talk about them if you’re not informed that’s what i’m saying all right let’s check in with the chat i just want to go on about this on the sunday report about how great these playoffs have been how i’m so excited these these finals have been so fun and i’m excited for game seven tonight so yeah whatever you guys are thinking about the playoffs and your opinions about it i’d love to hear it in the chat let’s see what’s going on with everybody this morning yeah we’ll start with trevor jay he’s saying “truth don’t need a crowd just a backbone.” you know the truth is just truth the truth is the essence of uh uh what is just true in this world and you know what the truth wins it and you know evil is evil and good is good and evil will you know get its just do in the end so yeah in some ways listen you know i’m going to say this once again popular uh opinion on things does not mean everything’s right or wrong depending on popular opinion the popular opinion can be very very wrong and there’s some things that are going on right now they’re going to try and say that this is a popular right thing to do but they are absolutely wrong and they’re evil and that hopefully they’ll get their just desserts in the end that’s not my for me to decide that’s for the guy up above out there that’s right that’s right trevor saying uh indiana versus okc game seven who will win it all tonight i’m going to once again put it down on experience will beat youth and uh homec court advantage although let’s go look at the refs right now they’re not very favorable for indiana james capers jr will ref tonight as the crew chief i’m getting a strong feeling that james jimmy capers might be retiring after this year because he has worked a ton of playoff games this season and he’s getting the honor of doing the crew chief for game seven of the finals that is a big crown jewel kind of assignment man game seven of the finals as the crew chief james capers jr i have no idea man it could be that he’s retiring this summer maybe not maybe he’s still going to come around again he’s a 63 and um you know i don’t know i don’t know but he favors the thunder he’s uh favoring the thunder it’s it’s uh not very close second ref is the worst ref for the raptors this past year we were 0 and6 under him and he stole a gamewinner from jamal shed josh tib josh tivven just barely slightly favors oklahoma city over indiana they’re really close to each other they’re like third and fourth best record teams with josh tivven in his referee career but yeah oklahoma city has a slight edge with josh tivven the third ref tonight will be shawn wright and i i get the feeling that tiban and wright have been two of the top refs this whole entire year that they’re getting this assignment of a game seven in the finals shawn wright and josh tibon both very ex very very extensively worked in these playoffs and they were very prominent in the season too so i think that these guys were two of the top refs this year in the eyes of the referee grades and stuff so shawn wright is the umpire he favors the thunder also so all three of the refs statistically favor the thunder against the pacers and uh in the alternate ref will be james williams and in the replay center it’s david guthrie watching from sikakus so yeah the refs are not good for the pacers the crowd is not good for the pacers so why is lex saying i think the pacers are still going to win is because the team of destiny is a team of destiny and in some ways this pacer run as much as it’s like some people are saying “oh this wouldn’t be good if the pacers won,” adam silver may be thinking “this will be good if the pacers win.” because in some ways it’s a great story it honestly is a really fantastic story the fact if the pacers won the championship it really would prove that anybody in this league can win a championship any year and that is what we want because we want the raptors to have a better chance to win the championship uh just because it’s more wide open in parody and that is what that will happen yeah trevor saying raptors fans gonna be mad no more purple those raptors jerseys are fire yeah there was a little post yesterday which made me very happy but i know a lot of idiots are getting really upset right now and i get it i get it y’all childish people want the purple to come back for the raptors i told y’all it’s a special color we only wear it for vintage years like the 30th anniversary year our colors are black and red and everybody was crying out for a rebrand well apparently they’re saying it’s official that we’re not getting a rebrand next year that uh there’s the the athletic company that makes the jerseys have already made started to make the jerseys for next year and they have leaked the four main jerseys for the raptors next year and they’re all black and red and white and there’s no purple to be seen and i’m not upset about this you guys know how i stand on this and this is exactly the right decision by them it makes sense purple is a special vintage color for the raptors franchise that should only be brought out for anniversary years like the 20th the 30th anniversaries and uh i wish the raptors fans would understand this now i know a lot of y’all hate the chevron but the chevron’s still here too we’re going to wear the exact same red with black chevron jerseys that we wore last year we’re going to wear the white one with the red chevron too we’re going to wear the black jersey with the thunderbolt stripe pinstripes and no chevron on it too those are the three main jerseys along with a new city edition jersey that was leaked that is absolute fire it’s the one that i was hoping would be the city edition for this year that got leaked in the last month it is a black jersey with red lettering and the raptor is on it and it’s an old school raptor logo just like the first year except it’s mashing up the current colors of the raptors with the original jersey you’re getting a dinosaur but you’re not getting a purple dinosaur you’re getting a white dinosaur and the most fire thing about this city edition jersey is that they’re the jersey the dinosaur is wearing the earn not given championship we the north jersey the red jersey with the white chevron and i love that jersey so much in some ways this is a this is a city edition jersey that is paying homage to our championship year of 2019 last year we had a city edition jersey that had a vince carter dunk logo raptor on it and that was really apppropo for last season and honoring vince carter with his jersey retirement and the 30th anniversary this year we’re gonna have a city edition jersey that honors our championship team with the championship jersey on the raptor on the jersey it’s fire i love it i love that jersey so much i mean the city edition jersey last year was really good too but i think the one this year is fantastic but yeah there’s a bunch of whining and crying on reddit right now trevor and i’ll go look at it real quick we’ll do the raptors reddit reaction right now first they got the thunder game seven they got seakum in the undertaker’s hat you know listen seakum did an interview yesterday explaining why his eyes rolled back in his head that i thought was totally unnecessary seakum you do not have to answer to anybody no you do not you’re a badass you’re amazing man you’re a very humble guy you’re a sweet guy you’re a nice guy in some ways you’re a people pleaser and you feel like you got to answer to people in the press you don’t have to answer anybody about why your eyes roll back in your head and it’s kind of funny what he said he he said that he didn’t even realize he’s doing it he said that he thinks his eyes are closed but they’re not and he’s like “oh obviously they’re not i thought my eyes were closed but no you’re just rolling your eyes back in the back of your head.” and everybody’s gone out of crazy with it thinking he’s demonic thinking he’s got black magic saying all this crazy stupid [ __ ] a lot of racist [ __ ] is being said and uh you know seakum’s a badass he said “i’m going to try and stop doing this everybody.” he thinks that he he’s feels bad because he thinks he’s freaking people out and he’s saying “i won’t do it anymore guys i’m sorry i don’t want to do it anymore.” why why can’t you just be you and these stupid people should just shut up and let seakum be sakum who cares if his eyes roll back in the head y’all idiots who think that this is some sort of demonic thing you need to shut the [ __ ] up it is not it’s just a man who had his eyes roll back in his head everybody does this you can do it too don’t act like you’re holier than now than him or anything like that just because that happens i’m ashamed that siakum felt like he had to come out and apologize for this and explain himself you do not have to explain yourself seiakum you do not you are better than this and in some ways i’m sad that you felt like you did because [ __ ] those people you live your life and you do it however you need to do it if you want to roll your eyes back in the back of your head and you don’t know it let him do it it’s his right guys it’s his right and y’all need to shut up i’m so sick of people being overanalytical i mean the man can’t even just do this seriously seakum was funny he’s in this interview and he said “my agent told me i saw you rolling your eyes in the back of your head during the anthems in toronto.” and i was like “yeah we all been seeing this it’s not like the first time i’ve seen seakkum roll his eyes in the back of his head probably about a dozen times over the years.” and i never thought anything about it i never ever thought anything about it i just knew that this is him meditating getting in game mindset to get ready to play basketball and it has nothing to do with anything else it’s no spirits and any of that [ __ ] no it’s so stupid and like todd rampair told him he’s like “yeah you’re you’re rolling your eyes in the back of your head when you’re standing during the anthems.” he’s like “i’m doing that i really i didn’t realize that.” and he’s like “you know just leave the man alone let the man play basketball let the man spin let the man do what he does and who cares this is frivolous stuff y’all are weird man that you made such a big deal out of uh pascal’s eye roll and stuff seriously y’all are weird for this and i i’m shamed that he had to apologize to you guys and say he’s going to try not to do it anymore it’s so stupid man people are so stupid and annoying honestly uh yeah so that there’s a lot of jokes about pascal in his no more chevrons.” they want to direct everything on there like they’re the power brokers of this y’all are very small uh loud minority on reddit and honestly most people don’t have very strong opinions on this let’s just put it that way in the first place now some of us do i do and you do on reddit also but remember in some ways you are not mlsc you do not have the ideas and the things to do rebranding you’re not gms that should tell bobby webster to trade for giannis so it’s all on all things y’all are just trying to uh grab power in places where you don’t have power is basically brunson gina cross and jeffrey smith i’m in bad place in the fantasy uh cass has got a crazy score he’s at 635 and with one more day to play and i’m at 512 i’m not gonna beat him honestly he has the highest score anybody scored in a our wnba league this whole entire year he went above and beyond and you know what i have a good score i’m at 512 and i would beat every single other person in this league except for cass and i’m gonna lose for the first time this year and be four and one after today i already know it he’s already got me this is a huge accomplishment by trucker cass really really big accomplishment fiercy is beating james mk is beating edmund uh very close uh kareem could still beat logical today possibly and then it’s close between jp and coolcat it’s like a 14 24 point lead for coolcat currently in our fantasy wnba so get your lineup set up for the the games that are today on wnba that’s right let’s go jussi’s here good morning y’all tonight is going to be a very memorable night yeah one way or another we’re going to have two new canadian champions either side wins we’re going to have two new canadians that are nba champions that’ll bring the total of canadians that won the n uh the the larry o’brien to 12 there’s 10 canadians currently that have won the larry o’brien in the history of the nba well we’re going to get two more added no matter what the outcome is tonight to there’ll be an even dozen of canadians that have won the larry o’brien and i’m excited to see which of the two pairs it’s going to be is it going to be lou dort and sga or is it going to be benedict mththeran and andrew nebart we’ll have to see what it is going to be man either way it’s going to be a fun game i’m sure it’s going to be close the whole game through and it’s going to be exciting right up until the final buzzer that’s right jussi saying “i’m going to be very happy with either team winning to be honest and i’m not even that much of a fan of both teams.” yeah yeah i feel like i’m the same place like i’m not a huge pacers or thunder fan but i have become very much rooting for the pacers in this series i am rooting for them which is crazy because normally in the playoffs in the finals if it’s not the raptors in the finals i will root for the western conference to win but in this case this is a weird rare case where i will root for the other eastern conference team against the thunder in this case i feel like the the pacers are the underdog and the seakkum factor is huge here i mean this is the thing if seakum has a really good game today and the pacers win the championship he’s the finals mvp because hallebertton got hurt and he you know in some ways he was a detriment to them at times when they needed him the most but seakum’s been the steady one there the whole time and that is the most valuable player right there and people are already waking up to it on uh the talking heads on espn and stuff saying it’s like you know seakum is likely going to be the finals mvp if they win the championship today he’s going to be a hall of famer and that’s what they’re saying they’re starting to say that it’s like somebody said i think it was that nick wright guy or whatever the guy who’s on espn he said “what kind of a world do we live in that rasheed wallace is not a hall of famer but pascal seakum probably will be a hall of famer in the i’m like you idiot don’t you understand who rasheed wallace is and why he’s not a hall of famer yeah sure he won a championship with the pistons with ben wallace and chanty phillips but he also won a lot of fines and technicals from various reps his whole entire career he’s also been very outspoken against the nba since he’s been one of the most vocal people about tim donnie and his scandal in any kind of podcast yeah you don’t understand why rasheed wallace isn’t in the hall of fame it’s because of extracurricular stuff with him and his attitude and what he stood for in some ways he led the league in technicals let’s just remember this and since he’s left he’s not been one of the most uh embraced nba former stars because of his mouth and what he said about the league afterwards so i don’t understand why you can’t understand why rashid wallace is not a hall of famer but pascal sakum is none of those things in fact this man’s apologizing for rolling his eyes in the back of his head instead of getting technicals every five minutes in nba games like rasheed used to understand why they don’t understand that but i’m definitely see i either way it’s like these aren’t normal teams that i get really passionate about but i am i’m involved i’m invested in this finals as a raptors fan watching two other teams right now that’s right that’s right uh jussi saying i remember david stern saying less is more if adam follows that then basketball will only grow to a glo global scale this is the whole thing man you know what this is the nba is a laboratory it’s like you know what you get a little petri dish and you put it on the counter and you put a little bit of a wa drop of water and there’s organisms in that water now you could just put that drop of water there and just let it grow and do whatever it’s going to do that’s what you should do adam silver just let that drop of water do whatever don’t add anything to it don’t try and manipulate it don’t try and control it don’t try and drive the narrative yourself you just need this ecosystem the nba to exist and allow it to flourish and grow like a garden and in some ways you don’t need be to prune in teams you don’t need to be weeding out stuff you don’t need to be having so much control over the product we can tell when you’re controlling the product we can tell when you’re holding it and trying to guide it like uh water uh out of a hose with your thumb i’m going to shoot it this way towards the lakers get a little bit more water on their plant you know we can tell when you’re doing this kind of stuff so it should be like a laboratory it should have scientific method where you are not having any outside influences or factors uh ruin your results you should let the ecosystem in that drop of water grow the way it’s supposed to naturally and the way it’s supposed to with the outcome of what you’ll get at the end and that’s what the the nba needs to be uh commissioner silver it needs to be an unmeeded with untampered with experiment in which you see the results come out to the fruition of what is supposed to naturally happen and i feel like that’s what’s happened this year especially if the pacers win tonight that will definitely be like that now if there’s some sort of funny business with the refs and guiding the story lines right at the end so they make sure the thunder wins for some whatever reason well shame on you if we can tell that’s what i’ll say shame on you if we can tell after uh such a great glorious season where everything seems like what i was just describing unfettered and unsessed with and the results are just naturally organically coming from this season that’d be great but if you decide to draw the last sentence of the novel for this year’s season and write it yourself adam silver shame on you because you’ll have ruined a very natural progression for this whole entire year of what happened with the competition in the nba and uh why do it now just let them play seriously that i love this statement less is more that means don’t [ __ ] with it just let them play and do what they do and that means the refs too james jimmy capers and josh tippen y’all don’t need to be trying to guide whichever team the nba may want on the download to win tonight let the best team win in a completely fair contest because we’re smart fans we can see right through when there’s manipulation and we don’t want to see any manipulation after a fantastic glorious season like this year we want it to end on the right note so please i plead with you don’t try to make any narratives tonight at the last second after really doing a good job of not doing that this whole playoff season seriously yeah amit’s here good to see ahmed i hope ahmed is safe and uh yeah there’s a really crazy thing going on right now over around on his side of the world right now and it’s not good it’s not good good morning everybody crazy night here didn’t get a wink of sleep i can imagine i can imagine of course the united states has committed something that is really bad as far as like donald trump has just done something that he should be impeached for he went and bombed iran without congressional approval and that is a big big no no with the united states in fact that’s authoritarian and dictatorship he’s supposed to get okay from the senate and the house before he can bomb anybody and he went and did it before he even talked to them so there if there’s any kind of justice in the united states he just did one of the biggest impeachable offenses you can do as a united rap because there’s a lot of people making it look bad on a major scale in big ways but when you get down to the personal belief in the individual that’s where it’s really special and important so either way scotty prince had his camp yesterday guys out of missaga we back with all the kids scotty uh you know always having fun getting amongst the kids for his annual summer camp with the kids and we haven’t seen scotty a whole lot this summer he’s been very quiet on instagram and uh he hasn’t been doing twitch that much he got on twitch for like a second at the end of the season but that’s it and uh yeah it’s it’s scotty’s been kind of mia for the last month taking his off season to himself probably with his child his mother and the rest of his family and uh well he had his summer camp yesterday in missaga and the kids came out in full effect scotty loves this event guys he really loves this event jay nathan is out but he’s got a tropical cafe smoothie tropical smoothie cafe smoothie essential is what he’s saying essential norman pal going over more while he was in monaco watching jordan lloyd play he had to come by and see his friends daniel ty is a very close friend of his apparently he said that they met on the clippers and that they they got very close like ty is his dude um and then jordan lloyd of course he won a championship with on the raptors and he was very happy to watch jordan lloyd excelling in monaco playing in the game and he’s hoping that daniel will get healthy fast but yeah it’s really funny to see norm and monaco at the game talking about jordan lloyd and daniel ty very very cool and of course norman’s doing all kinds of uh photo shoots while he’s in cans in south of france and he’s talking about it on there was like i love this place i’ve come back here the last three years and hang out here in the offseason it’s just my vibe he just loves the south of france so norman’s a guy who loves south france better than las vegas in the oanner was back in toronto at mlsc launchpad last night with coach andrew jones at this reading uh event coming in just talking to the kids i’m impressed with that kevin oanner like seriously i didn’t think you were anything to do with the raptors and the fact that you come back up to toronto to do this event with raptors 905 as an alumni of raptors 905 but not necessarily current player luke quinn are you bringing kevin oanner back next year because this is what it seems like this man’s at mlsc lost launchpad yesterday that’s what it seems like to me that kevin oanner is still 905 stripes was there wearing his 905 jersey bombing threes yeah yeah and uh of course they’re reading reading and this was a really cool they had an author come in and actually read their book to the kids for the reading is fundamental summer reading challenge that’s a wrap stripes and kevin oanner and coach andrew jones there also he brought his kids down there to the mlsc launchpad coach andrew yeah really really cool event great to promote the the reading and there’s kevin with andrew andrew you gonna be coaching kevin oanner next year because i feel like that might be true why is he here right now i mean seriously that’s going above and beyond man that’s not even your team right now bro the toronto tempo event at stack looked pretty stacked with people good stuff going on the it was the pride event for toronto tempo it seems like stack’s going to be their go-to place to have events outside they had the court set up and they had the queer dimes down there shooting shots and they’re playing horse and there was open court and lots of talking about basketball and basketball and uh you know interse intersectionality with uh queer and lesbian gay people in basketball so yeah very cool event is something that i remember from studies when i was living in florida in florida and i went to florida state i studied sociology and you know we we studied things about race and you know uh there’s also famu in tallahassee where my dad worked which is one of the historically black college universities uh in the united states and uh you know there’s a lot of studies on skin tone and the darker your skin tone is uh the more likely you may be have racism against you from other black people who are more light-kinned and uh you know seakkum in particular you know he probably is an easy target for some black people to be racist towards just because he’s well one he’s from africa he’s not a black person from north america and then you know the darker your pigment sometimes you get more racism the darker you are this is just the truth but you know in some ways look racists are can come in all shapes sizes colors ages uh everything and uh it’s all bad no matter who it is and in some ways you know look i i would say this the person that gets bullied will bully the other people sometimes too and that’s not right if you’re getting bullied and you’re taking out on somebody else to bully the next person you’re part of the link of chains that’s doing this and it’s you know you know just because somebody may be racist or bad to you doesn’t mean you should turn around and do it to somebody else who may be lower or not lower but u maybe in your mind somebody like you know i can get away with doing this to this person because they’re even darker than me you know that doesn’t seem right at all all racism is awful and wrong and uh you know that’s that’s what i’m saying it’s an interesting point that trevor’s brought up though because in some ways some of the stuff that’s being said by seakum right now that may be borderline racist is being said by black people seriously which is crazy which is crazy stargate saying eric calls blue jays games he’s actually pretty good yeah yeah he’s been calling him more recent years and he’s really enjoying it you know he’s really really enjoying it i like when our raptors people cross over and do blue jays matt delin’s done a bunch of saw that norman pal said that when he’s done playing the nba he’s going to play in europe he said that straight up on this clip he said uh when i can’t play in the nba anymore i’m going to be coming to europe to play professionally after my nba career so if anybody’s wondering what norman pal’s plans are uh well when the nba says you’re too old and you can’t play here he’s going to go make some money and play in europe because he loves it over there and he’s all about doing what jordan lloyd’s doing right now so just just to pass the information along in case somebody missed it norman pal said straight up after i’m done in the nba i’m coming to play in europe i’m coming to play in europe so that’s pretty interesting i’m saying i love both the big schnitle and schnitle so you like that’s been so much better for the league honestly and i’m i’m really excited for tonight’s game to the best team win that’s the great thing it should be the best team wins the nba championship so
