we need to talk about the Eastern Conference for next year’s NBA season with Tyrese tearing his Achilles an already weak East just became historically weak meaning anyone can make a finals run dame Tatum and Tyrese are now all missing next season the East could literally be anyone’s the Cavs might make history the Knicks should feel pretty awesome running it back the Magic trading for Desmond Bane might literally be enough to bring them over the edge the Sixers could reemerge at this point if I’m the Bucks I might just want to keep Giannis and see what happens should the Hawks keep Trey Young and hope for the best should the Pistons take another giant leap and vault into the top half of the conference some of these teams can sleepwalk into home court in the first round if I’m a Heat fan I’m kind of pissed the Heat didn’t just pull the trigger on the KD trade all I know is I’m very interested to see how these Eastern Conference teams’ front offices will move this summer seeing just how wide open it really

The Knicks could go there but Cleveland literally has the best odds. Boston could go on an elite underdog run due to their playoff experience. Giannis leaving the Bucks most likely so it's really just New York, Cleveland and Boston.

I think the biggest problem that the east will find is that Boston will still be dominant enough. Partly because the East is verifiably weak, but also partly because running it back doesn't address the problem. It will just make people delusional enough to realize that they never stood a chance
