It’s definitely an overpay, but with how wide open the east is going to be next season. It might be worth it to go all in now.
I somewhat agree but also one guy can’t fix the whole teams shooting problem. And also the magic literally gave up their whole future for DESMOND BANE so they most def overpaid and prolly coulda got Giannis with their 5 first rounders they gave up.😭
Tbf it’s a good time to contend in the East. The only somewhat contenders are the Knicks, pacers, and Cavs who are all very beatable

The magic needs to sign Ty Jerome.A guy that can carry the bench and play both on ball and off ball which is perfect for the team.
To me they were already on a good run until Suggs, Banchero and both Wagner brothers got injured. Afterwards building any type of moment was already lost. Now adding Bane fixes their problems and has made them better.
I feel like they made a big gamble tho. You give up four first rounders
I watched them during the Celtics series they were very solid. Their Defense is low-key underrated. They stayed close most games

Theyre going to even better than you let on. Sure they were a .500 team last year, but they lost Jalen Suggs and Mo Wagner to season ending injuries and Paolo and Franz to significant injuries. They would have been a 50 win team last year with health. They should be a 55 win team with Bane and their young guys improving.
