More Moves COMING… SHOCKING Details Revealed on Jrue Trade | Boston Celtics News

more moves are imminent for the Boston Celtics and following an absolute robbery of a trade that Brad Stevens managed to pull off for Drew Holiday new reports have dropped revealing that not only are more moves on the horizon but another robbery is in the works so to break down exactly what that trade is and discuss what this means going forward as something huge is brewing but before we get into trading of course Drew Holiday to the Blazers for I mean for Anthony Simons and did the Celtics got draft capital back but I’ll digress for a little bit bruce covered that last night shams made a follow-up tweet revealing some big information here an extremely active offseason begins for the Celtics with the trade of Drew Holiday who played a critical role in Boston’s 2024 NBA championship the Celtics remain engaged in trade talks surrounding multiple key players on the roster sources said so folks huge moves are on the horizon here and they are going to be happening sooner rather than later shams confirms this we have multiple other reports to dive into including another trade update surrounding Christophs but let’s digress a little bit here and discuss i mean the the first domino to fall was always going to be Drew Holiday i said it on the channel multiple times in the videos over the past week that Holiday makes the most sense to get rid of first and you know he had the most salary now with the way that the Celtics currently look after that Drew Holiday trade they need to make another move to get under the luxury tax they didn’t do that with this Drew Holiday trade they basically just got an interesting fit in Anthony Simons who is on and expiring and you got draft capital back for Drew Holiday which I’m sure you know Brad Stevens was licking his chops at the thought of that probably didn’t even think that was remotely possible i sure didn’t we were discussing on the channel about how any trade involving Drew Holiday Shams and everyone was saying it was going to require the Celtics to give up draft capital and no folks that wasn’t the case an absolute just robbery here but more moves are on the horizon and again here’s the you know some interesting salary cap stuff from Kevin Oconor huge upgrade for Portland of course doesn’t really matter simons has too much overlap with the other guards plus he’s an expiring the Celtics only cut $4.7 million in salary so more moves are coming to get under the second apron but I’m bullish on Simons in the Missoula system and I mean seeing what Joe Mazula can do here with Anthony Simons is kind of an underrated aspect of this and we’ll have another video covering that later a big part of this trade is they cut $4.7 million in salary now you pair that with JHS coming out and saying that more moves are imminent kristoffs has to be you know gone at this point like there’s no doubt about it i think almost surely at this moment Kristoffs is actively being shopped and this has been confirmed by Brett Seagull here boston has been actively talking with several teams around the league about moving Kristoffs Porzingis so Porzingis got to be the next domino to follow but folks I genuinely think at this point more moves are going to be coming and I honestly think now that the way that the you know the Celtics were managed to finesse this trade like you’re getting draft capital back for Drew Holiday they might seriously consider at this point trading Jaylen Brown now it sounds crazy i had a video covering it yesterday feel free to check that one out after this one is fully done it’s an interesting scenario because players are getting traded for a lot desmond Bane got four unprotected first in a swap you look at you know other guys around the league they seemingly are going to be you netting you a lot the fact that you got positive value for Drew Holiday not only do you get two second round picks folks two second round picks which I have faith in the Bos in Boston you know hitting the second round picks you get a guard that is cheaper than Drew Holiday has potential and is younger to fit in the Joe Mazoula system and is also an expiring like it is a winwinwin you aren’t just getting a bum back for Drew Holidayiday you have to give up a first- round pick to dump the contract you’re getting an asset that in a wide open Eastern Conference you could actually compete now there’s two sides of it that you either can trade Jaylen Brown and really take advantage of the you know amount of money that or amount of asset that people are paying for you know players or you could go on the flip side of it and say “Hey the East is wide open and let’s go for it.” Because Boston is now $18 million over the second apron portland is $6.6 million under the luxury tax blazers will incur first hard apron hard cap because they are taking in more money in this deal about $14.7 million under the first apron so Celtics are $18 million over the apron and of course Chris Herzingis makes out $30.7 million and I think at any point you’re gonna have to get you know a guy back they’re gonna be you know I don’t think Christophs Porzingis I mean I didn’t think that Drew Holidayiday was gonna net you a positive asset seeing now what happens with you know Christophs is going to be absolutely crucial and I don’t think it stops there i really think this is the beginning of one of the biggest offseasons in recent memory for not only the NBA but for specifically the Boston Celtics and you know the first move happened late last night we’re going to have multiple multiple videos a day covering it for you all but it was a very neat move a very clean piece of work by Brad Stevens and more is on the horizon and I genuinely believe now I think I don’t think anything is off limits and Shams came out and said earlier that you know Jaylen Brown Derek White they’re probably not going to trade him unless they get a master you know grandmaster offer and a huge offer and I I think that’s going to be potentially what happens here i think teams are willing to make moves now and we talked about it how you know the Celtics could keep Jaylen Brown and go all in in the Eastern Conference in the sense of you know not trading those guys and it’s wide open other teams in the East now seeing how open it is might be willing to offer crazy amounts for Jaylen Brown to help their team compete if you’re the Celtics if you’re going to take a year off might be the time to trade some of your assets but I’ll digress a little bit on that a new report has dropped here and it’s it’s a new mock not mock trade but also like you know a rumor surrounding a trade and this is Chris Stops once again to the Sacramento Kings so this prop move proposed move rather may not be the most exciting start to the journey but one of the many possible paths that the Kings can take and it is Christophing in the 28th pick for Demar D Rozan and I covered Drew Holidayiday to demar for Demar D Rozan recently here on the channel very interesting one this one is also interesting I’ve already written about the idea of sending D Rozan the Celtics now he could be a good stop gap option for Boston while Tatum recovers the first iteration of the trade brought back Drew Holiday but the deal included sending out Devin Carter as well assuming that Holiday will be highly coveted around the league which is already you know done for at this point porzingis once again dealt with injuries and you know he played 42 games i this is an interesting one now I I don’t love it necessarily i’m not entirely sure again you just in theory replace Demard Rose in the starting lineup with Jason Tatum i think a Christopheris to the Kings deal and just a deal to the Kings in general is something that makes a lot of sense and of course if you’re the Kings here they also get the first round pick so you’re giving out assets in this case but again this would be more of a retool rather than a rebuild which is what Shams come out and said the Celtics are looking to do and that spoke clearly here with the acquisition of Anthony Simons in the uh you know in the Drew Holiday trade i genuinely believe that like a lot of moves are going to be on the horizon and I don’t think it’s going to stop at Christophs and let me know what your thoughts are on this basically Christophs for Demar Rozan which again is a very interesting trade in itself one that would make sense if they’re going for the East i don’t know how well you know how competitive a lineup filled with you know let’s say Derek White Anthony Simons Jaylen Brown Al Horford you throw Demard I mean you don’t really have a center you know Demar Roen I guess you know in there you assume Anthony is going to run the the shooting guard you have Derrick White at the one you have Payton Pritchard off the bench tom Hower is probably going to go like you need to do some you know bench work of course and you know Neimas Kada will he be someone who steps up this year xavier Tilman you have Tory Craig like if they bring him back all these different things baylor Shyman like do we have faith in guys like Baylor Shyman and Neimus Kada to step up or do they want to have a development year for guys like that i mean they’re beasts right i love them we all love them as Celtics fans right but at the same time they need to make some moves here and again
