My FINAL Miami Heat Draft Wishlist | Top 5 Prospects for Pick #20 (2025 NBA Draft)

My FINAL Miami Heat Draft Wishlist | Top 5 Prospects for Pick #20 (2025 NBA Draft)

the miami heat picked 20th overall in tomorrow’s 2025 nba draft and if you’ve been following my draft series you know that so far i’ve discussed liam mcneel rashir fleman noah sang will riley ne clifford wal cedric cow notori ben j carter brian thomas over daniel max hu gonzalez and asa newell there’s several other guys on my list that i wanted to talk about because of course i got plenty of comments from you guys requesting prospects so i do greatly appreciate your support and interest in this series but that’s 18 players that i did do a deep dive on and pretty much all of the guys that i think the heat genuinely have a chance at selecting so if they end up drafting someone that i didn’t talk about well then i’m going to be really mad cuz how did i miss anybody i talked about 18 guys unless they do end up trading that 20th pick for someone else or maybe some future picks and honestly i i wouldn’t be mad at that i do think that’s a real possibility even the rumors were swirling today that they’re dangling the number 20 pick and andrew wiggins in hopes of finding an upgrade somewhere i don’t know who that would be but that’s not what i want to discuss in today’s video in today’s video i want to narrow down all of those 18 prospects who could possibly fall to number 20 and i want to give you my top five guys who i want the miami heat to draft we’ll work our way all the way up to my favorite prospect so starting with number five i have danny wolf might just be the next nola [Music] i’m told you i’m shining had to break through perfect timing go get it danny wolf officially measured in at the combine just over 610 it’s probably close to the 7 ft with shoes all of these prospects with their draft combine measurements are without shoes so you can add an an inch or two to what they’ll be listed at in the nba but danny wolf obviously very tall has a 72 wingspan 251 lbs only 21 years old so i think that he has an nba ready body right now played two seasons at yale so he’s very smart before playing his junior season at michigan where he had a very productive year for the wolverines i’ve seen him mocked anywhere from late lottery to late first round and some of the player comps that i’ve seen included mo vagner who i think was just there cuz he’s another michigan big i don’t think there’s a ton of similarities there i did see kelly olen which i think could be danny wolf’s floor truthfully danny wolf was my favorite prospect before i started doing a deep dive on all these players cuz his highlights are insane but the more i looked into him the more i’m scared that he is just a kelly olen listen i know a lot of heat fans love kelly seems like a great guy but i wasn’t his biggest fan because i was truthfully tired of seeing him too slow to close out to a corner three-point shooter just defensively he was atrocious now i’m sure you could put together a kelly olen highlight package that would make him look like an all-star and that’s what scares me about danny wolf so i’m just be cautious i’m cautiously optimistic about danny wolf another player comp that i saw was another heat bomb nemana bita and then i think i also saw hedo turkloo uh who is probably the ceiling for danny wolf and if you can get hedo turkoo at number 20 that’s an absolute home run he was an awesome player i know danny wolf himself likes to call himself baby joic a lot of similarities there you know big man that could pass shoot the ball a little bit but i’m not going to say that danny wolf’s ceiling is nicole joic of course some of the strengths for wolf though shot creation passing a shooting potential likes to shoot a lot he wasn’t super efficient at michigan about 33% or so but he’s a sevenfooter that has guard skills that that’s what he is and he he’s a unicorn so obviously there’s a ton of potential there that being said his weaknesses are his athleticism meaning he’s not a great perimeter defender does have quite a bit of turnovers because he tries to force a lot because he is such a flashy passer but that’s what you’re getting with him you know a unicorn offensively who might be an okay interior defender but not great everywhere else on that side of the ball i do think he has a very solid fit on the miami heat though he could play backup center minutes right now and because of his versatility i think you could play him next to bam or wear certainly not next to both but i do think there’d be some options there for spo and really he just has a ton of potential just because of the skill that he has and at number 20 for a heat team that’s probably not going to be very good next year i personally value potential just because uh maybe you get a home run maybe you get a guy who can become a star one day or a very great starter and that’s how you find some really good value at pick number 20 that being said let’s move on to my fourth favorite prospect which is nolan trayor is exactly what the miami heat needs [Music] nolan trayore measured in at the combine at 6’3 with a 68 wingspan 175 lbs only 19 years old the measurables might not jump out at you but i did see other websites where he was listed at 65 uh which is not a bad size for a point guard obviously he’s got a a positive wingspan which is good just needs to put on some more weights which he will do he’s only 19 years old he did play the last two seasons with a team called st quinton in the l lnb elite uh which is the highest level of basketball in the french system it’s one of the best in the world not quite euro league but still a very high level of competition i’ve seen him mocked anywhere from the late lottery to right around 20 even some mocks had him going to the miami heat and then as far as player comps there’s some that i did not like scoot henderson killian hayes who might just be there because hayes was another french point guard but both those guys or were supposed to be facilitators okay defenders the next two player comps i saw might be the ceiling for troy which is lonzo ball or de jonte murray and if that’s the case i think that’s an absolute home run you know i mean jonte murray is not quite the defender he was staying with lonzo ball because of the injuries but at their peaks those guys were great facilitators who were capable shooters and could also defend from the the point guard position some of the the strengths for for nolan troy is you have his speed shot creation playmaking shooting upside although he wasn’t super elite uh he does have nice form i think there’s a lot of potential on his jumper he’s a good free throw shooter and even to end his season last year with st quinton his numbers did pick up a bit so i think he will be a better shooter in this league than a lot of people think then some of the weaknesses we saw is his decision-m his young point guard that’s going to happen also of course his shooting consistency because like we just said the numbers aren’t great and the defense he’s a little bit skinny so he can get picked on gets lost at times but he has such a big role offensively right now with france i don’t think he’s had the time to develop his defensive skills but with the 68 wingspan i do think he has that defensive potential to maybe get close to a lonzo ball i mean maybe that’s a bit of a reach because lonzo was an elite perimeter of attack defender or point of attack defender but i don’t think nolan troy will be a turn style in this league as far as his fit on the miami heat it’s perfect you know he’s a guy who you would be drafting for fit and potential because he’s so young which also helps meaning he’d be a nice trade piece if maybe the heat don’t make a trade tomorrow maybe somebody asks out john morant or trey young or someone mid you know season you got this nice young piece in nolan troy that you can kind of dangle out there but obviously and aside from the potential right now he could be a playmaking guard which is something we absolutely need and he also has the speed that this team desperately needs as well because they’re always bottom 10 in pace he’s a guy that will pick up the pace and really get a lot of people involved that being said let’s get into my third favorite prospect which is thomas sorber is the next great superstar big man said it i’m told you i’m shining had to break through perfect timing giving no hands go get it radics the thomas sorber measured in at 69 with the second longest wingspan in the entire draft combine with a 76 wingspan also weighed in at 262 lbs just a beast of a frame only 19 years old he provides the size i think this heat team could desperately use some more of he played one season at georgetown which is the best school to to get a big man from you talk about patrick euing the kimbe matumbbo even our guy alonzo morning if you’re going to get a center georgetown is the place to do it i’ve seen him mocked anywhere from the late lottery to late first round some of the player comps i’ve seen for him is roy hibberts who has some good years i still think he’s a trash can and i think the verticality rule is a bunch of bs but maybe that comparison is only there because he’s also a georgetown big but i also saw a kongu al horford and then the last two are weird i saw yonis valentunis and yurf nerkage the reason why those comps are weird is because you got a very different you you got a lot of different type of centers there right a lot of variance because hibbert or congru horford guys that you looked at as more of defensive type guys but then valenunis and nerkage they’re not really great defenders they might be okay in the interior but they’re guys that i look at as more skilled on the offensive end have a lot of footwork uh and that’s part of the reason i’m so intrigued by thomas sorber is because of his versatility if you look at his strengths he’s an elite at rim finisher has great hands his bread and butter is the post game y’all y’all know i got a foot fetish for the footwork of kameh jame hakez well thomas sorber is also elite at that i know it’s a bit of an old school game but with his size and wingspan i think he could be unstoppable in the post in today’s nba especially as the game transitions back into more of a big man type game we’re seeing less small ball more too big lineups i think you could use a guy like thomas to fit into that also more strengths include his passing has a high basketball iq there’s some shooting upside there and he is an elite shot blocker and interior defender so you might be saying “what the hell are his weaknesses?” i mean he could finish at the rim he could he could score he could pass he could defend he’s got iq the only really weaknesses i saw is like his perimeter quickness he’s not going to be a super switchable defender like nothing like a bam bio or nothing like that not even ona a kangu to say to one of his player comps but he will be elite defensively inside although he’s not super athletic he’s not you know khil wear in that regards uh in terms of his even his pick and roll finishing he’ll be a below the rim finisher most of the time which is fine i mean yeah you’re about 610 whatever but as long as you can finish you can finish i don’t need you catching lobs you know 13 ft in the air like kho were to dunk it you know if you can finish you can finish uh and also his injury history we should mention had a foot injury that cut his season at georgetown a bit short he is healthy now that he’d have watched him uh practice and stuff so i i do believe he’s healthy now but still foot injuries for a big man you think about greg odin you think about sam buoie back in the day they’re scary that should be noted but he does have a clear fit in the miami heat could play a lot of backup center minutes right now and also has a ton of potential on both sides of the ball for that reason he’s my third favorite prospect now my second favorite prospect that i think that he should target is rashir fleming is an underrated beef told you fleming measured in at 6’8 with a 75 wingspan 232 lbs only 20 years old although he is turning 21 next month but still relatively young and has a grown man’s body obviously has the frame to be an elite defender with a 68 height 75 wingspan he would just be an absolute terror on that side of the ball played three seasons at st joseph’s where he improved gradually every year he’s been mocked mid to late first round and then some of the player comps i saw were some pretty athletic guys larry nance obie toppin who had a very good uh run to the finals with the pacers i also saw pascal seyakum speaking of pacers and clearly if fleming ceiling seakkum that’s something you would take 10 times out of 10 and then a funny player comp i saw is if taj gibson could shoot threes and i love that player comp cuz back in the day i always said if there was like one role player i wish that he could get it was taj gibson he is a heat culture guy and if you’re telling me fleming could be gibson with a shot with a three-point shot absolute home run some of the player comps uh that i or no we just talked about the player comps the strengths that i seen for him is his spot of shooting that’s his athleticism and his defense really the only weakness is shot creation which is fine i i think his role in this league will be as an elite and i mean elite like one of the best in the league 3 and d players whether that’s as a forward whether that’s as a wing he could do both and that’s the exact type of player that i think every championship team can use i mean imagine him in the haywood highmith role so i love highmith right but and apparently the heat dude too because they didn’t want to trade him for kevin durant i’m sorry i need to put a dollar in a jar every time i talk about kd he’s not on the heat he never will be anyways uh haywood highmith 6’4 good defender good shooter now imagine you replace him with an athletic freak with a 75 wingspan who could also shoot the ball as well as he can like that’s rashir fleming i think his potential in terms of three knee players through the roof and i would love the heats to take him but not more than the guy i have at number one which is cedric coward is a dog we interrupt this program to bring you cedric the cowardly dog show said it i’m golden told you i’m shining through [Music] it cedric coward measured in at 65 with a 72 wingspan oh my god i’m getting excited just thinking about that defensive potential also weighed in at 213 lbs he played two seasons at eastern washington bit of a smaller school before transferring to washington state for his junior year i’ve seen cedric mocked anywhere from mid to late first round some of the player comps include dorian finny smith jeremy grants i think those are two guys the heat have been rumored around forever because they’d be a great fit i also saw josh richardson heat legend josh richardson i i’ll put some respect on his name but then the last player comp that i’ve seen for cedric howard i i can see being possible and it’s the one that is really the reason i i have cedric at number one it’s kawhi leonard in terms of what he can do as a two-way player i could see his ceiling being kawhi leonardesque the strengths they have for him include his athleticism his shooting was a 40% three-point shooter at high volume his junior season at washington there’s no questions about his shooting unlike a nolan troy or ben saf or or or danny wolf or some of these other guys cedric coward is a guy you don’t have to question his shot and that’s something i love about him too not only can he shoot he can score the ball inside very well is an excellent post player has a high basketball iq can pass the ball obviously play defense like we’ve been saying so same thing as uh as we were saying about thomas orbert what is his weakness then well the ones they have listed is is like strength okay he’s 213 pounds he’s young he’ll put on some more muscle but then also experience because at his junior year at washington cedric coward only played six games due to a shoulder injury and same as we talked about with sorber and his foot injury cedric coward is good now he’s recovered i know the heat have also watched him work out i saw pat riley at his uh pro day in la so the heat are interested in him for sure and if those are your weaknesses strength okay you’re young and experience well you’re going to get experience you know like you i think there’s a big enough sample size not from his last year at washington only only six games or washington state only six games but you have two seasons of prior film at eastern washington yes it’s a smaller school but he really showed that he’s a special player and for that reason he is my number one prospect that i hope the miami heat target so those are my favorites although i really like almost everybody that i talked about if i was forced to pick some honorable mentions i’d probably say jace richardson i understand he’s small but i think he’s a heat culture type of player the point guard from michigan state can do a little bit of everything i also like ben sif or sahaf in terms of fit the israeli point guard is an elite playmaker who has some questions about his scoring i like n clifford who basically has no weaknesses but he’s 23 uh and then i like a couple of big men maxim reno and hassan young who are some pretty versatile big men that i think have a lot of potential so those are my honorable mentions if i had to pick two don’t drafts it’d be will riley out out of illinois just kind of a nothing player he’ll be okay shooter in this league uh and then i hate to say it but y’all know i’m not the biggest fan of walter clayton jr i think he’ll be a good player in this league i think he’ll be a good shooter but i don’t think it’s good value at number 20 because i think clayton’s role in this league will be as a shooter kind of a bench microwave type guy and there’s guys in the second round like like kobe brea who are also elite snipers so why take walter clay in that 20 if you could get a guy like kobe brea in the second round i just don’t think it’s good value personally but again it’s highly unlikely this entire video is irrelevant because the heat might you know end up trading the pick uh but at the very least we got to learn about some of these prospects uh and get some information on the next generation of basketball with this upcoming class so i do appreciate everyone’s support on this video and the youtube channel and as we’ve been going through this series i’m very excited for tomorrow’s draft and of course i’ll have a live reaction video out immediately after the heats pick or or trade but make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it like the video comment your thoughts down below and i’ll see y’all in the next video peace out everyone pull up in your city trying to get that dead face do it on my own i don’t need no dead weight had to kill them off yeah i need a head space you know this homegrown don’t offend me

  1. It's gonna be Walter Clayton or Jase Richardson if one is available. Riley already said he wants a guy who can do some of what Tyler does.

  2. Unpopular opinion but I'd actually like them to take Walter Clayton. I just think someone who isn't afraid to take tough shots with miami needing a scorer and with the fact the team really isn't going to take their time with developing young talent because their always in win now mode he'd be a good pick up and a great spark off the bench maybe like Tyler the year he won 6th man.

  3. Walter Clayton cancelled the rest of his workouts after his workout with the Heat so I’d assume that means they’ll take him if he’s there

  4. I dig it. Got 2 of my top 3 in Coward and Sorber, as well as Fleming who I have at 4 or 5 going back and forth between him and Richardson.

  5. Coward and Traore are my top two prospects, if neither are avaliable then theres a real conversation to be had in my opinion, theres so many prospects but Hugo Gonzalez, Raheer Flemming and Ben Saraf are probably my next favourite three, wouldn't mind a swing for another center as well though.

  6. hawks just leapfrogged the heat. kristaps! props to the celtics FO for quickly unloading their assets. that's how its done riles. that wolf guy looks legit!
