2025 NBA Mock Draft | Picks 1-59 | Prod By. Cloud Rider

after shocking the NBA world by trading one of their biggest stars in today’s game the Dallas Mavericks were lucky enough to find themselves at the top of the draft and with the first pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Dallas Mavericks select forward Cooper Flag from Duke University while some may still question Flag superstar ceiling he is without a doubt the most complete and safest prospect in this entire class at minimum you’re getting a perennial defensive player of the year candidate flag’s defensive versatility allows him to guard one through four and even some fives and small ball lineups he’s active in passing lanes a fantastic helpside defender a rim protector and a point of attack stopper he’s truly one of the best defensive prospects we’ve ever seen offensively Flag is just as impressive he’s an extremely efficient score and a legitimate 50/40 90 threat his shooting form is smooth and he can score at all three levels get downhill absorb contact and plays with a high basketball IQ my offensive comparison is a more athletic France Vagner while defensively I see a hybrid of Andre Karolinko and Scottie Pippen his ceiling in my opinion is unlimited despite trading for star guard Darren Fox and already having reigning rookie of the year Stefan Castle on the roster I still think the Spurs are going to draft best player available with the second pick in the 2025 NBA draft the San Antonio Spurs select Dylan Harper guard at a Ruters University dylan Harper is simply too generational to pass up having too much talent in your back court is a great problem to have and ironically Harper’s game mirrors a lot of what makes Fox special his composure explosive change of pace and smooth mid-range jumper all echo the All-Star strengths harper brings excellent size for a lead guard a tight handle and advanced playmaking instincts he’s a high IQ player who can run your offense or go get his own bucket while his three-point shot still needs more consistency the mechanics are sound and should translate with time when it’s all said and done Harper could very well have a higher ceiling than Fox he’s a future AllNBA talent in the making and for San Antonio he’s the best building block on the board after an injury plagued season and a disappointing year from Paul George the Sixers are in desperate need of young talent to re-energize the roster with the third pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Philadelphia 76ers select VJ Edgecom guard out of Baylor University edgecomb is an explosive athlete who brings elite vertical pop and non-stop energy but there is more to his game than just athleticism he’s flashed real shot creation ability and is becoming more confident from behind the arc he’s not the biggest guard in the class but he plays with toughness and poise making him one of the safer bets in this draft edgecomb still has all-star potential and even if he doesn’t reach that ceiling he offers a ton of value as a two-way contributor victor Aladip was a popular and accurate comparison for VJ the Charlotte Hornets were another team played by injuries all season and we still haven’t had a real look at the full roster together but once again they find themselves picking near the top of the draft with the fourth pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Charlotte Hornets select Ace Bailey forward at Ruters University to me Ace is clearly the third best prospect in its class but he’s reportedly sleeping on draft boards after not working out for any teams and cancing a meeting with the Sixers that opens the door for Charlotte and this could end up being a great fit for both sides bailey is a tall lengthy forward with a deep offensive bag and explosive athleticism he thrives in the mid-range as a shot creator using post fades face up step backs and pull-ups that make you think of Kevin Durant at times his three-point shot isn’t the most consistent yet but the form is clean and shows promise defensively he’s not the most locked in guy possession to possession but he has the bounce to come up with blocks and can get stops when he commits the biggest questions around Bailey come off the court but for a team like Charlotte the upside is just too high to ignore the Utah Jazz have had some tough luck in their last couple drafts with picks like Cody Williams and Taylor Hendricks they may be looking for a safer bet this time around with the fifth pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Utah Jazz select Khan Canppel guard out of Duke University colin Panpple is one of the safest players in this draft and should make an impact from day one his game reminds me of a more athletic Joe Engles with a quicker release and a higher ceiling he’s only 19 but already shows a lot of offensive polish and versatility he’s not just a three-point shooter he uses a few dribbles to create space can take defenders off the dribble on closeouts and consistently finishes with his left hand through contact kuple also acts as a secondary ball handler running a lot of pick and rolls and making solid passes he’s a high IQ player a good team defender and ready to contribute immediately the Washington Wizards have done a great job acquiring young talent over the last few drafts but they are still in the midst of a rebuild and find themselves back in the lottery with the sixth pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Washington Wizards select big man Derek Queen from Maryland despite adding Alex Sar last year Washington can use a complimentary big with a more diverse offensive skill set and Jerry Queen fits that role perfectly he’s an efficient inside scorer who mainly works back to the basket showing polished footwork and a smooth post stick he can also take opposing big man off the dribble and finish through contact and I see him running some high post action thanks to his playmaking ability queen is active around the rim and has a reliable mid-range shot his three-point shot looks decent but probably won’t be consistent on defense he offers rim protection and solid post defense though he struggles on the perimeter guarding smaller players in pick and roll situations overall Queen reminds me a lot of a smaller Demarcus Cousins the New Orleans Pelicans are another team dealing with injuries and offc court drama unfortunately they find themselves back in the lottery yet again with the seventh pick in the 2025 NBA draft the New Orleans Pelicans select wing Trey Johnson from Texas many believe Trey Johnson is the best shooter in this draft class and he definitely has a strong case he makes his money behind the ark but also has some shot creation ability using stepbacks and fadeaways to score in isolation his biggest offensive concern is his limited ability to get downhill though he flashes potential he also shows some playmaking skills but struggles defensively often getting lost off the ball and ball watching my comparison for Johnson is Ben Math although Matan was considered a much safer prospect coming into the draft the Brooklyn Nets have five picks in the top 36 and are still early in their rebuilding process they could look to find their point guard of the future here with the eighth pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Brooklyn Nets select point guard Jeremiah Fierce from Oklahoma fierce is a fierce competitor with an explosive first step and impressive athleticism reminding me a bit of Scoo Henderson he’s able to get downhill and finishes with authority the hope is that he continues to build on the shot creation flashes he showed at Oklahoma he has a nice mid-range game but his three-point shot form is a bit concerning i don’t think he’ll ever be a knockdown shooter but his mid-range game can make that less of an issue he’s also a strong ball handler and playmaker whether it’s in the pick and roll or driving to the basket fears is a higher risk prospect but he’s only 18 and has the potential to be one of the best players in this class the Toronto Raptors are clearly looking to compete sooner rather than later and if they don’t decide to trade this pick I have them taking the best player available with the ninth pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Toronto Raptors select big man Cam Malatch from Duke University though he only recently started playing basketball Malawatch’s game reminds me of a young DMBBE Matumbbo in terms of raw shot blocking potential and rim presence though he still has a long way to go to reach that level at 72 with the massive wingspan and a solid frame he’s already an elite rim protector his timing and patience on blocks are advanced for his age and he moves well laterally for his size showing the ability to defend the pick and roll effectively he’s also a high motor rebounder who creates a lot of second chance opportunities offensively Malawatch is still a work in progress he’s primarily a lob threat rim runner and dunker spot finisher right now however he flashed a promising three-point shot at Duke and if that continues to develop he could become a very valuable two-way big man the Phoenix Suns finally traded Kevin Durant and they were able to get their own lottery pick back in this year’s draft with the surplus of shooting guards and the lack of true point guards I think the Suns will likely target a lead guard here with the 10th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Phoenix Suns select Kasparus Jackionis point guard from Illinois jack was offered some real promise as a pick and roll operator and playmaker with a solid handle and a developing three-point shot i compare him to Grievous Vasquez a player with a decent feel for the game and capable of making plays for teammates however he’s not a great athlete lacks elite quickness and struggles defensively he can get pushed around on screens and doesn’t always finish plays at the rim showing some clear areas to improve while I’m lower on Jackionis than some scouts his fit in Phoenix makes sense the Suns need a lead guard and Jackus could grow into a reliable backup or rotational floor general who helps stabilize the offense whether he becomes more than that remains to be seen but given their situation taking a chance on him at number 10 isn’t a bad bet the Portland Trailblazers have a young core full of talent but they’re looking to add a high upside forward to complement their roster with the 11th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Portland Trailblazers select Noah Asen forward from Fatio Farm asen offers Jeremy Sohan fives with his elite defensive upside and playmaking flashes he’s a strong post playmaker who can also operate on the short role bringing versatility on offense above the rim athleticism is a major part of his game and his three-point shot is steadily improving adding to his upside while he’s a higher race prospect if develops his hope he could be a game changer for Portland down the line the Chicago Bulls are in a rebuilding phase after finally trading Zack Lavine at the deadline in this point in the lottery they could use an NBA ready player who can contribute right away with the 12th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Chicago Bulls select Colin Murray Boils forward out of the University of South Carolina murray Boils is a Thaddius Young type lefty super strong and effective mostly below the rim with a crafty finishing touch he has a solid face at mid-range game and can take bigger defenders off the dribble his three-point shot is improving and he’s an excellent playmaker for his position with great court vision often delivering one-handed passes off his left or crosscourt finds defensively he offers versatility strong pick and roll defense and even shot blocking while undersized the center he can play the Ford thanks to his long arms and high basketball IQ murray Boils is a low-risk NBA ready and guaranteed effective role players for years to come exactly the kind of surefire bet the Bulls need to pair alongside Giddy and Matas Buellis the Atlanta Hawks face some changes as they’re likely losing a declining Clayton Cabella in free agency and reportedly had a trade in place to send Trey Young to Sacramento with the 13th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Atlanta Hawks select Yoan Behringer big man from France behringer is a high-risk highreward prospect who might be viewed as a reach by some but his unique athleticism and defensive upside fit the kind of player NBA teams love to gamble on he’s an athletic freak with crazy bounce and dynamic shot blocking ability reminding you of Nick Claxton with his timing and rim protection an above the rim lob threat and strong rollman Behinger plays solid pick and roll defense and shows impressive lateral quickness he only played 17 minutes per game for Olympia but showed enough to be intriguing at just 18 years old turning 19 in November he has plenty of upside baroner is a raw talent but NBA teams can mold him into the player they want his versatility and upside make him a promising long-term piece for Atlanta’s front court the San Antonio Spurs are back on the clock at 14 and if they don’t trade this pick they’ll likely look to add front court help with the 14th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the San Antonio Spurs select Rashir Fleming forward out of St joseph’s University fleming is a four five tweener in the mold of Jonathan Isaac who could easily fill a backup center role thanks to his ring protection and rebounding he’s a good three-point shooter and an athletic finisher making him a smart and versatile role player defensively Fleming brings solid pick and roll defense and impressive recovery ability while the Spurs need a true center to back up Webinama Fleming’s combination of skills and potential make him too good to pass on he’s criminally underrated in this class and can provide a big boost for San Antonio if they keep the pick after winning the 2025 NBA Finals the Oklahoma City Thunder are on the clock with the first pick outside of the lottery with the 15th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Oklahoma City Thunder selects Cedric Coward wing from Washington State University coward is a prototypical three and wing with the long wingspan and elite defensive instincts despite playing only six games last season due to injury he showed his ability to disrupt passing lanes and lock down opponents one-on-one offensively Coward has a pure shot form a reliable mid-range game and can finish inside on occasion his high basketball IQ and strong passing make him a versatile piece who fits seamlessly into any rotation nba ready and a smart role player Coward brings the defensive identity the Thunder are looking to reinforce while providing valuable spacing on offense he should contribute right away and help OKC remain competitive as they continue to develop their core the Memphis Grizzlies made a savvy retooling move acquiring the 16th pick along with three other picks and a swap from the Magic and the Desmond Bane trade given what was Memphis’s undersized and defensively challenged back court I understand the offer was too good to pass up with the 16th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Memphis Grizzlies select Carter Bryant forward from the University of Arizona to me Bryant is a stronger version of Herb Jones a freak athlete and elite defensive playmaker who can guard positions one through four he fits well with the Grizzlies grit and grind identity and their reputation for developing prospects offensively he’s still raw but has a three-point shot with serious potential and solid mechanics the Minnesota Timberwolves face uncertainty in their front court with Naz Reed and Julius Randle both free agents so adding help inside makes sense with the 17th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select Austin Newell forward from Georgia offensively Newuel has a skill set similar to John Collins he’s an effective roleman above the rim athlete and has a nice looking three-point shot defensively Newuel far exceeds Collins providing strong rim protection excellent help defense and the versatility to switch on to guards thanks to his lateral quickness his timing defensive IQ and recovery ability make him a high forward prospect with plenty of upside newwell could become a key two-way piece for Minnesota’s front court the Washington Wizards are back on the clock at 18 and take a swing on a unique playmaker with the 18th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Washington Wizards select Igor Demon guard from BYU demond plays like a skinnier less physical version of Ben Simmons a tall pass first point guard who thrives as a playmaker but still has a lot of work to do in other areas his best skill is his vision he consistently makes advanced reads and keeps the ball moving he struggles from three right now but his shooting form looks promising he lacks a quick first step and doesn’t create much separation and defensively he’s still developing though his size allows him to impact passing lanes he’s a high-risisk prospect but the upside as a jumbo playmaker makes him worth a shot here for Washington the Brooklyn Nets are back on the clock at 19 after selecting Jeremiah Fears earlier and this time they add size to their front court with the 19th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Brooklyn Nets select Thomas Sorber big man from Georgetown sorber is a smart below the rim center who brings shades of a less athletic Jared Allen he’s a strong interior defender and reliable rim protector with good timing and positioning offensively he’s still raw but shows flashes he got a smooth jab step mid-range shot out of faceup situations and some potential as a three-point shooter he’s also a solid passer for a bit capable of making quick reads while he struggles guarding on the perimeter his presence inside gives Brooklyn a steady high IQ big to develop alongside their young core the Miami Heat are on the clock at 20 and after losing out on Kevin Durant it’s more likely they’ll target a muchneeded lead guard to stabilize their backourt with the 20th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Miami Heat select Nolan Trayori guard from France he pushes the pace downhill with good speed and touch finishes consistently with either hand and boasts a smooth mid-range game complemented by a pure looking three-point shot with nice arc he’s a capable playmaker and an effective pick and roll ball handler who can create for himself and others defensively however Trayori has some work to do he can get caught ball watching tends to overhelp and lacks consistent discipline which makes him an inconsistent defender overall his perimeter shooting also needs to become more reliable the Heat need a high upside lead guard and Trayori offers promising potential to develop into that role the Utah Jazz are back on the clock at 21 and while they said they’re not trading Walker Kesler his name continues to come up in rumors either way adding another high IQ big makes sense with the 21st pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Utah Jazz select Ryan Calbrer senior center from Kraton calbrer is one of the smartest defensive bigs in the class he’s a great help defender shot blocker and makes up for his average lateral quickness with elite timing and positioning he’s a reliable rebounder a solid lob threat and has shown flashes of a three-point shot even if it’s still coming along some might overlook him because of his age or lack of flash but I see this as great value just like how Walker Kesler quietly went 22 and became one of the best centers in his class I think Hal Brener will follow a similar path and prove he belongs in that conversation the Atlanta Hawks are back on the clock at 22 and could look to keep adding to their young defensive core building around guys like Dyson Daniels Zachary Reese and Yoan Behringer with the 22nd pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Atlanta Hawks select Noah Penda wing from France penda is a versatile point of attack defender with shades of Jared Walker he guards one through four moves his feet extremely well and consistently finishes possessions with timely blocks or contests offensively he’s a smart cutter and passer who plays with finesse but can also finish strong at the rim his shooting is decent but still a work in progress pender brings a highle defensive upside and high IQ making him a strong long-term fit alongside the Hawks growing group of two-way players the New Orleans Pelicans are back on the clock at 23 with their second first round pick of the 2025 NBA draft looking to add depth and versatility on the wing the Pelicans target a player who can contribute immediately on both ends of the floor with the 23rd pick in the 2025 NBA draft the New Orleans Pelicans select Ne Clifford wing from Colorado State University clifford plays like a more playmaking version of Oce Abaji combining a smooth step back mid-range jumper with a reliable three-point shot he navigates screens well and shoots confidently making him a versatile scoring threat beyond scoring Clifford is a solid passer and a good rebounder for his position defensively Clifford brings effort and consistency fitting well into team defensive schemes he’s NBA ready and projects to be a smart reliable role player who can slide seamlessly into Pelicans rotation and contribute right away the Oklahoma City Thunder are back on the clock at 24 and could look to add scoring punch off the bench with the 24th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Oklahoma City Thunder select Jace Richardson guard for Michigan State richardson is a skilled scorer with a solid three-point shot in mid-range game he’s a good passer who absorbs contact well and can create opportunities for himself and teammates at six feet tall defense is a clear weakness both on and off the ball but the Thunder are a team that can hide that liability similar to how they use Isaiah Joe maximizing Richardson’s catch and shoot threes and utilizing him as a microwave scorer off the bench he projects best in a limited bench role where his offensive skills can shine without exposing his defensive flaws the Orlando Magic have their first pick at 25 and after adding offensive firepower with Desmond Bane they look to keep the momentum going with the 25th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Orlando Magic select Walter Clayton Jr guard from Florida clayton reminds me of a Malik Monk or Jamal Murray Light he’s a great shooter with pure form and solid shot creation ability he can get to the basket and finish through contact with either hand and he’s a good passer with the knack for scoring in bursts defensively he’s active with his hands but tends to be undisiplined and disengaged off the ball making him a below average defender overall offensively though he’s a microwave scorer who can add valuable scoring punch for the Magic the Brooklyn Nets are back on the clock at 26 and looking to add high upside talent to their roster with the 26 pick in the 2025 draft the Brooklyn Nets select Will Riley a 6’10 forward from Illinois riley is an early stage Brandon Ingram type with smooth shot mechanics and nice handles that help him get downhill and create his own shot while he shows flashes of shot creation he isn’t much of a passer and struggles to fight through screens due to his slender frame often getting bodied and taken out of place his numbers have been inefficient and he’s definitely a project but his size and skill set give him star potential if he can develop the Brooklyn Nets hold the 27th pick as well and continue to add wing depth with the 27th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Brooklyn Nets select wing Liam McNeely from Yukon a wing who reminds me of a lighter and less strong Harrison Barnes mcneely is primarily a floor spacer with decent handles for his size though he’s not the most athletic his numbers were inefficient last year but he was playing through injuries so there’s reason to believe he could bounce back he projects mostly as a role player his offense isn’t as diverse as other prospects but he plays hard rebounds well for his position and is a solid team defender though not a lock down stopper the Boston Celtics have the 28th pick and after losing Jason Tatum to an Achilles tear and possibly trading Christophs Porzingis they’ll be looking to add some muchneeded help with the 28th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Boston Celtics select Danny Wolf big man from Michigan wolf is a skilled playmaker with impressive handles definitely his best attribute and a nice three-point shot that needs to improve in consistency he can run high post handoff actions effectively and even comes up with steals but defensively he struggles due to his lack of athleticism and slow foot speed think of him as a Frank Kaminsky type with better ball skills the Phoenix Suns are back on the clock with their second pick and look to target a high upside wing with the 29th pick in the 2025 NBA draft the Phoenix Suns select Hugo Gonzalez a wing from FC Barcelona in the league ACB gonzalez is an athletic slashing wing with the Mario Honia vibe but with potentially more upside he’s an educated cutter and lob threat who shows nice touch and creativity on finishes his three-point shot is decent but needs significant improvement gonzalez has a nice handle can get downhill and finishes well with either hand including putbacks and high arcing shots defensively he gamles a lot and while he occasionally makes highlight worthy stops he’s generally not reliable and often gets caught off ball he only played about 10 minutes per game so it’s a small sample size but his history shows he’s a talented player who could be a steal the Los Angeles Clippers round out the first round in this year’s draft with the 30th pick and with the 30th pick the Los Angeles Clippers select guard Ben Sarah from Ratio Farm sarif is a baby Genobi floor general with a nice handle and flashy playmaking he’s a good finisher with either hand can get to the basket and has a solid mid-range game his three-point shot is decent but needs improvement defensively he can get stops but sometimes gets screened out of plays decently athletic with upside as a creative playmaker now let’s take a look at some of the notable second round picks in this draft class these players might not go in the first round but they bring valuable skills and upside that can make them important contributors and even future stars in the NBA the San Antonio Spurs have the 38th pick in the 2025 draft and with this pick I have them selecting Jamir Watkins from Florida State University watkins is a DeAndre Benry type an elite lock down defender with great instincts and passing lens and pickpocketing he’s a downhill finisher and a smart offball cutter with nice handles and impressive athleticism watkins also offers a decent three-point shot and rebounds well for his position a smart connective passer he has the tools to be a valuable two-way role player the Washington Wizards have the 40th pick in the 2025 draft and with this pick I have them taking Jackson Robinson from Kentucky robinson is a Malik Beasley light a big wing at 66 with deep range and smooth shooting mechanics he’s a proven three-point shooter who can place the floor right away and while he doesn’t show the best defensive motor he has the size and awareness to be a solid team defender when locked in he is an older prospect but in the second round his shooting alone gives him real value the Sacramento Kings have the 42nd pick in the 2025 draft and with this pick I have them selecting Tyrese Proctor point guard from Duke after trading to Aaron Fox the Kings are in need of a new floor general and Proctor fits the mold he’s a less athletic Derek White or Andrew Nehart he’s able to play on or off the ball with a reliable catch and shoot three he has a smooth handle and solid playmaking skills he’s also a high IQ team defender who makes smart decisions on both ends he’s one of the most underrated players in the class and can easily go in the first round the Los Angeles Lakers have the 55th pick in the 2025 draft and I have them taking Roco Zagarski 74 big man from the Brisbane Bullets zigarsski is a more athletic Luke Cornet he’s an enormous rim protector with raw offensive tools he’s a lob threat active in the dunker spot and has some developing pose moves for his size he moves well laterally and shows good recovery on defense he’s still a project but in the right situation especially playing alongside somebody like Luca in LA he could become a valuable long-term piece la all la
