so could the Milwaukee Bucks be trading away Giannis Anttompo to the Toronto Raptors this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from ESPN.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Toronto Raptors receiving Giannis Entompo and the Milwaukee Bucks receiving Scotty Barnes Grady Dick um Oce Akbaji the number nine pick this year a 2029 first round pick and a 2031 first round draft pick so my immediate thoughts are that the Milwaukee Bucks are probably not trading Giannis this off seasonason but if they get off to a bad start next year perhaps Giannis becomes unhappy basically at any point i think his time in Milwaukee is pretty much as good as gone now if he was available for trade which seems could be offering some good packages well the Raptors if they wanted to could actually put themselves in a pretty good spot to land Giannis now Raptors were one of the finalists in regards to the Kevin Durant sweep stakes from what I saw they were offering RJ Barretts the ninth overall draft pick and maybe some others as well i guess the sticking point there was that the Rockets or I guess the Phoenix Suns wanted back Yaka Purle he was not involved in that trade which he obviously isn’t as well that’s a pretty coveted piece as well so I’m not too sure if you were able to switch out one of these players for maybe Yaka Purle this trade could be more intriguing for the Bucks now is this going to happen probably not but could the Raptors put themselves in a pretty good spot next year especially too with Tyrese being recently injured uh Tatum you know some other players you know Damen Lillard for instance etc the East is pretty wide open next year and if the Raptors were able to acquire Giannis they put themselves in a pretty good spot to get back to the playoffs and go on a bit of a championship run having a core of Giannis you know they keep RJ Barrett here uh they also have Brandon Ingram and they keep Yaka Purle as well so this could arguably make you know the Raptors one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference and as I mentioned before if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks it it’s not a terrible package like you know three future first round draft picks one of which being ninth overall this year that’s pretty good uh Scotty Barnes Grady Dick and Oce uh not bad value there definitely some good young players to build your team around but I just think that if you’re able to get you know I guess field some offers for Giannis with the rest of the league some other teams are going to probably give you a lot more in return so if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’m going to side with the Toronto Raptors but as always leave your thoughts
