so could the Miami Heats be trading away Andrew Wiggins to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Miami Heat receiving Ruie Hatchimura Jared Vanderbilt and a 2030 firstround draft pick and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Andrew Wiggins now my immediate thoughts are is that the Lakers are not a Andrew Wiggins away from becoming a championship caliber team this team has to address their front court um adding Andrew Wiggins is not a bad move you know from basketball perspective he fits LeBron James’s timeline he makes this team a little bit better in the short term and gives a bit of a boost to this starting lineup like having a you know a group next year of Austin Reeves Andrew Wiggins LeBron James Luca Donuch what’s missing there a starting caliber center so you’re sacrificing your depth here giving up a pretty important draft pick down the road as well and you’re getting back a player in Andrew Wiggins who is very talented he’s an NBA champion uh etc but this still does not address the starting center hole now maybe this could potentially lead to maybe an Austin Reeves trade maybe that’s where a Jiren Jackson comes into play maybe a Nick Claxton type of player and if that’s the case then by all means this makes some sense stack the lineup win a championship in the short term but giving up some of your valuable trade chips like really Hachimura Jared Vanderbilt and a 2030 first round draft pick that’s a pretty good package in my opinion so from the Heat’s perspective uh this is a really good move for them uh perhaps this would allow them to maybe package all these uh you know assets up and make a larger trade because Andrew Wiggins doesn’t carry that much value in my opinion when it comes to acquiring a star caliber player so I like this move a lot more for the Heat it’s not terrible for the Lakers but as I mentioned before there is still a gaping hole at the starting center position and Wiggins doesn’t play center uh to my knowledge of course so uh without Jo you know with all joking aside I think the winner of this deal would be the Miami Heat but as always leave your thoughts
