so could the Los Angeles Lakers be trading away Dalton connect to the Portland Trailblazers this 2025 NBA off seasonason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Brooklyn Nets receiving the 11th overall draft pick and a 2031 first round draft pick from the Lakers the Los Angeles Lakers receiving the number eight overall draft pick and the number 36 overall draft pick and the Portland Trailblazers receiving Dalton Connect a 27 first round draft pick that is top four protected from the New York Knicks so one of those weird trades where only one player is involved and a ton of draft picks are being swapped with each other let alone in a three team capacity so just kind of breaking down the only player that’s in this deal in Dalton Connect he’s a player that the Lakers clearly view as expendable um you know this off season uh because of the trade that got vetoed or I guess not vetoed but got cancelled um I guess voided at the 2025 NBA trade deadline with the Charlotte Hornets for Mark Williams so Delta Connect is a player that could definitely benefit from a change of scenery uh that obviously was a bit of a tough time for him but he’s a pretty talented player showed signs of growth last year he’s going to be a good player in this league just sort of how the Trailblazers want to approach next season they want to make some changes uh we saw that in the form of Anne Freddy Simons for Drew Holiday so um that happened earlier you know yesterday so Delta Connect going to the Trailblazers plus a first round draft pick in 2027 that’s some pretty good work now from the Nets and Lakers perspective what they are getting here is draft capital uh the Lakers are moving up into the draft and getting the number eight overall draft pick this year plus an early second round draft pick so if the Lakers have their eyes set on perhaps a player that they view as a better option than Dalton Connect then yeah this trade makes a lot of sense even if it does you know cost them a future lottery pick down the road you sort of have to build around LeBron James now so that makes a lot of sense there from the Nets perspective if they’re able to move back a little bit plus get a future first round draft pick which by the way that 2031 first round draft pick from Los Angeles could be pretty valuable if LeBron is gone etc i would do this as well any day of the week so an intriguing trading i think the winner of this deal to me is probably the Brooklyn Nets uh followed by the Lakers and then truthfully third the Trailblazers but those are just my thoughts leave yours down below
