SHOCKING Celtics Trade Update… Shams Reveals WILD Details | Boston Celtics News

we have a massive Celtics trade update to go over today as we are now just hours away from the NBA draft some bombshell new reports have dropped from Shams from Brett Seagull and more reporters revealing some wild details surrounding both Jaylen Brown and Derrick White yes we have big updates surrounding the two stars that remain healthy on the Boston Celtics and trade talks are really starting to pick up we break down exactly what that is as not only are trade talks heating up there are teams now not only linked but aggressively pursuing the Stars we’re going to break down exactly what that means and discuss some other things as well including some interesting updates ahead of tonight’s draft folks before we get into it all if you’re a part of the percentage who aren’t let’s uh let’s dive into what has been a crazy last little bit for the Celtics i’m going to start with some you know reports that came in late last night into this morning and then report moments ago surrounding Jaylen Brown and Derek White so we know late last night Shams came out and said them phone lines are ringing in Boston the Celtics are getting offers calls on both Jaylen Brown and Derrick White their preference has been to keep both players but they are listening and Shams asked the rhetorical question will a team get there and of course this had Celtics fans a little bit intrigued and I think the kind of consensus among all of us Celtics fans are okay probably want to keep Jaylen Brown and Derrick White unless you get a Godfather offer unless you just get completely overwhelmed we’re talking the number two pick in Stefan Castle like a package to that degree but there has been a lot of offers coming in for Jaylen Brown and we finally have an offer that’s also been leaked which is interesting as well but let’s dive into a couple things here so this is of course the thing that came out last night just going through the timeline here 5 hours ago Shams you came out and said the Celtics are receiving massive offers so that was this morning for Jaylen Brown and Derek White they are also discussing trades for Sam Hower and Anthony Simons so this one is extremely interesting because we will have a video covering Sam Hower and Anthony Simons later on but for now we’re going to be focusing and zeroing in on Jaylen Brown here and of course also Derek White which we’ll you know have another video on as well later today but this is extremely interesting because you look at all the time frames late last night the Celts are getting offers this report was more of the same of what we’ve been hearing then this morning he doubles down and says “Okay throughout the night the Celtics have been receiving throughout the day massive offers for Jaylen Brown and Derek White.” And there’s a bunch of different things here you can see here from Brett Seagull much of the same from Shams on the Jaylen Brown Derrick White front boston has continued to tell teams they aren’t interested in trading either player yet teams are calling leading up to the draft it would take a major change of heart and a big offer to sway away Brad Stevens and sway Brad Stevens rather to trade the uh you know star in Jaylen Brown or Derrick White for that matter so things started to pick up and of course we know how crucial they are to this team right jaylen Brown and Derrick White and of course Dererick White’s sign on a very team friendly contract but we saw at the same time what a guy like Desmond Bane got in the I guess open trade market for unprotected first round picks and a swap and there’s a lot of teams making offers here and it seems that smoke is picking up not necessarily that a trade is going to happen although I do think it’s possible but that Brad Stevens like offers clearly have to be increasing here and as the deadline approaches the East is wide open teams want to compete and also I mean the Celtics are within that vein and they have Jaylen Brown they have Derrick White we know Shams come out and said that they’re kind of in the middle now trying to hover and retool this year and they’ve kind of done so i mean they have you know Jaylen Brown Derek White Anthony Simons Gorgis and Yang is not very good but he’s not terrible either they don’t have a center at this point they have to get a center like they still have a lot of work to do and of course they shed a ton of salary i mean you think in 10 days they shed almost 300 $260 million almost $300 million in the projected salary and luxury tax to not only get them out of the second apron but of course as well inch them closer to getting out of the first apron and out of the luxury tax which is something that we know the new ownership wants to do but speaking of like the new ownership and things like that these reports started to escalate and then just moments ago you can see here developing the Utah Jazz have made an aggressive push to try and acquire Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics which is something that is not only intriguing to me it is quite the interesting report now obviously Jaylen Brown with the Celtics is a uh you know or with the Jazz rather this is an interesting one because you look at what a potential trade could be you look at all these different things and at the end of the day you look at a massive offer that the Jazz you know could offer obviously plethora of first round picks i mean you look at some of their assets that other teams are trying to get from the Utah Jazz i mean Walker Kesler things like that but if the Jazz are going out and trying to make a big splash for someone like Walker Kesler then or sorry for someone like Jaylen Brown if you’re the Utah Jazz you’re going to have to give up a lot of assets especially at a time where you would assume you know teams like the Spurs are calling in on Jaylen Brown they have been known to be extremely aggressive throughout the offseason on Jaylen Brown and you would need a godfather offer do the Jazz have the assets to do that probably like they probably do have the assets to do that but at the same time we know a you know is this this is Danny A we’re talking about here so I don’t think there’s a world where I mean we’re all familiar with it i’m not sure that a Danny A would want to get fleeced by the Celtics in a trade like this i think it would have to be a fair trade which would require a bunch of I mean first round picks there’s some young players on the you know Jazz that are interesting i mean the Celtics don’t have a center at this point so would they want to center some package around Walker Kesler would that make a lot of sense for the Jazz i mean maybe if they’re trying to you know rock with who they have and then add Jaylen Brown add a superstar to their team but then you’re also getting rid of one of your young centers but again the Celtics don’t have a center so the updated depth draft includes Derrick White Anthony Simons Jaylen Brown Gorgus Niang and Luke Cornett if he returns if he doesn’t return of course Al Horford I mean both Luke Cornet and Al Horford are unrestricted free agents at this point unsigned so Neimus Kada would probably be the guy who comes in as the the I guess the starting center now of course we know the Celtics they’re going to go out and get somebody else but it’s like it’s at a point now where they have to consider other trades and that’s why the phone lines are ringing like crazy that’s why Shams is coming out and saying that the phone lines are falling off of the wall if you want to put it that way like things are really starting to pick up here and we also have this is kind of like a little bonus reports from Air Report he got things right he got the Kyrie numbers right you know an hour before it happened but he also you know missed out on the exact details so take this home with a grain of salt but if it’s true it changes everything here so the Boston Celtics have had trade discussions regarding Sam Hower over the last 24 hours Boston has executed two blockbuster trades but he also says a new trade candidate as well is newly acquired Anthony Simons league sources say the Celtics landed Simons in a deal with Portland but it’s possible that he alongside Sam Hower could be moved as both are being explored as potential avenues for further financial relief and that’s something else to be discussed here like it’s not it’s not like they got rid of and they got out of the luxury tax they got out of the first apron they cleared the second apron which most you know teams will unless you’re competing for championships back toback years and three years in a row most teams don’t want to be in the second apron for the Celtics they also probably don’t want to be in the luxury tax they still have you know salary to shed and if they want to do that of course the easiest avenue would be guys like trading Sam Hower even Anthony Simons who some people are high on some people aren’t as high on and let me know down below would you want to move Anthony Simons you know in a deal here i think a lot of it depends on what they do with Jaylen Brown and Dererick White and the more smoke that comes the more fire that comes with it maybe they get offered a package they can’t refuse maybe they get a first round pick this year from the Raptors or something for you know Derrick White or Jaylen Brown like there’s a lot of different potential packages that are being floated around that are huge and their preference is to keep both players but the longer this drags out the bigger the offers get we’re gonna have to you know wait and see if Brad Stevens cracks and lets a trade go through but let me down below your thoughts on that as well so of course the new reports surrounding Anthony Simons it’s going to be interesting folks things are really starting to pick up the Celtics have done a lot of work but there is more work to do reports are going to continue to
