Footwork – A+ (better than 95% of NBA bigs)
Passing – A- (incredible deception and soft touch but needs to reduce turnovers)
Shooting – B (projects to be a solid shooter with 3 point range)
Rim protection – ? (hard to gauge due to low level competition)
Perimeter defense – D (even though he won DPOY in the CBA, he needs to improve a lot to be a playable big)
The biggest positive for Yang is that Portland drafted him so high compared to his projected mock position so he will get every opportunity to prove himself. Some players in the second round have high potential but never get a chance because they don't have enough advocates within the organization. Cronin and their lead scout's reputation is on the line so they will give him a good look and it will be up to Yang to prove himself.
Lost my ๐ฉ when I saw the pick but I do see a lot talent and upside here. Unlike the Simons trade the Blazers didn't give up much.

my only concern with this pick is the lack of diversity it brings, unless him or clingan develop a good 3pt shot its hard to play both of them at the same time. Mainly im just salty we traded the 11th pick when we couldve gotten Queen but the return from the trade was pretty good.
