Chicago Bulls Focus On Upside With Noa Essengyue At #12

the Chicago Bulls go raw upside again in a draft leaving several big men on the board did the Chicago Bulls make another mistake by going raw prospect over a more sure thing at a position of need we’ll talk about it all and more on today’s Locked on Bulls [Music] you are Locked on Bulls your daily Chicago Bulls podcast part of the Locked On Network your team every day thank you for tuning in to Lockdown Bulls member of the Lockdown Podcast Network where it’s your team every single day i’m Hayes host creator of Chicago Bull Central and Chicago Bear Central YouTube pages and podcast pat will be on his way here in a minute he’s getting off some steam over on his channel there he goes uh that’s Pat the designer host and creator of the Windy City Breeze and host of the Chicago Bears podcast over at ESPN 1000 uh the Chicago Bulls did some frustrating things today in regards to the draft uh for for a few people they go raw upside yet again with Noah SN we’ll talk about that the centers that were left on the board and apparently the Bulls plans for draft draft day two but first Pat let’s get into it noah SNU at number 12 for the Chicago Bulls now your boy Cedric Cow was taken before the Bulls pick there we’ll get into who was left on the board afterwards how do you feel about the pick itself listen I know if you were watching me over on the Chicago Bulls Bridge if you were watching my reaction was not to the Noah essay pick which I just found out it was SN my reaction was to the fact that Cedric Cow was taking one pick before and AK was asleep at the wheel i think that Noah Essen has the highest ceiling probably the lowest floor am I capping on that like I I I think that he is a solid piece for the Chicago Bulls to add to this team i think that he is also a piece that you have to develop which if you were just live with me over on the Chicago Bulls Breeze you will know the Bulls have basically promoted no one and added nothing to be the head of player development so let’s have fun with some development in all of this they He did say they do they promoted internally but you promoted somebody who clearly most players believe is worse than the person that you fired so we’ll see what ends up happening i like Noah Gay i think that uh uh the upside is is very high on him i think that you have to develop this young man um there’s a lot that has to go into that being done and I’ll tell you this Hayes I don’t even know if this is a topic mark Eversley speaking is worse than Gar maybe it’s cuz it’s right now but it’s worse than Gar that No I I think he was Well I think he was a lot more articulate than Gar i think he was more articulate than AK i think for for what we’ve seen of Mark Eversley behind the scenes at times i think Mark Eversley clearly has been using the last year or two uh to be to to train on talking cuz I I felt he held the press conference and articulated himself now what he was saying is different how he articulated it is more so what I’m talking about i believe he’s articulated pretty cool here’s my issue with he got asked specifically a question when do you think or or where do you think Noah Singay can make an impact on this team this man said “Well he’s got to assimilate to Chicago and then he’s got to assimilate to America and then he’ll figure it out from there.” What does that have to do with putting a ball in a bucket roger’s ready to flip a table i ain’t gonna lie to you but I will say this if we’re talking about Noah SN let’s just let’s let let me let me separate myself from the Bulls organization the player himself and we talked about this this morning um I think the young man has tremendous upside i think that there is a potential for him to be a three positional player depending on what the Bulls are asking of him i think the wingspan allows him to be a a a solid big the weight does not he’s going to have to figure out some of the weight issues um if he’s going to be a big at this level he’s going to have to gain at least what do you think 20 pounds i don’t think I don’t think the plan is for him to play big by the way Mark yeah he’s he’s a wing i think he’s going to play small forward so if that if he’s going to play small forward at 204 already I mean I think he probably still needs to put on 10 to 15 pounds of muscle over the next year and and see where it goes after that but I mean if the goal for him is to play wing I’m not I’m not as concerned about the weight at 610 though I would think they trying to get some of that positional flexibility there at least being able to play the four i think he needs to gain at least 15 to 20 pounds to Here’s the thing he’s already 5 lbs heavier than Brandon Ingram who’s played the four a lot so I mean I get what you’re saying i do think he needs to put on weight i don’t think it’s 20 pounds though i I think that depending if if he’s mainly a three and in some lineups they use him as a four I think he could be fine with the 10 or 15 pounds now if you’re right if the plan is to play him more four than anything else that’s where things may change a little bit for him for sure yeah and it depends on Now here’s what scares me hayes cuz we know how the Bulls are if the if the intent is for him to play 34 does that now turn Modus into a four five we had his No no no that’s I think I think it’s the thing Donovan’s our coach bro yeah but the thing is is you don’t have to worry billy Donovan doesn’t play players up that are that are legit size he plays players up that aren’t the size of Oh the height is what changes like it’s it’s if you’re 610 it’s like small ball center no so it’s Giddy so Giddy’s gonna be our small ball center no Trey Jones because they um so no I’m not I’m not as worried as you about that but and Noah like here’s the thing i think that Noah is a perfectly solid pick i think that you you I know you I know what you brought up about development but let’s keep in mind most teams don’t have a player development department they use their assistance to develop and we do have Dan Craig and Wes there they they they uh bam out of bio Tyler Lao um uh Jamal Murray uh Michael Porter Jr like they’ve developed some players with us is they both been heads of player development before and I think that yes it’s great to have a player development department it’s great to have people that give data and analytics and look at what you do in game and say “Hey if you would have tweaked this.” But I’m more worried about now that we have those guys the person who’s traveling with the team day in and day out so I’m I’m not as worried as with the development maybe issue and that’s only because of Dan Craig and Wes Unselled now the shooting coach aspect of it it would be nice to have Peter Patner when you draft a player yeah you know it is what it is when it comes down to that but um but I I like the pick it’s just that you know what this feels like Pat and I know this is going to trigger some people this just reminded me of Dalon Terry and Walker Kesler now I’m not I’m not comparing the caliber of player i hope that Noah is a lot better but everybody knew that the Bulls needed a center they knew that when we drafted Dalen Terry and there was a center there that that that was a shot blocking rim protecting rebounder that everybody talked about that the Bulls needed and they looked at that and said Dalon Terry again we needed a center we needed a future young center that’s switchable there were a couple everybody was still on the board but come on and then they they went this so it just kind of puts you in the mindset of that i’m not comparing the players i hope that Noah has a a lot better of a career than Dalen Terry has so far i hope that but it does put you a little bit in that mindset and that’s not a good place to be in considering we’re still trying to figure out who Dalen is as a player and he’s in the last year of his rookie deal next season and we still don’t know who he is as a player let me hit you in one that that may be worse and this is where it hit me um pause that’s crazy well you didn’t say that’s where he hit you you said it hit you that’s that’s I think that’s you’re in the clear that’s acceptable we run with that we run with that first off shout out to the Michelob Balter draft hat that’s what I thought of all of the uh the draft hats this year yeah I got mine right here great looking draft hat it’s a great looking draft hat um this reminded me the second it happened of Aaron Donald Kyler Gordon really good player that could could have been gotten by the Chicago Bulls i do think Noah Essen is going to be a fine player for the Bulls mhm i think that he fits into what they want to do i think that he speaks to the conversation that the Bulls probably are having internally of them saying “Hey we really like Modis Bzelis and we think he’s going to be the guy so we just need a solid piece here.” Okay i think the guy that went ahead of him is going to be a ridiculously good NBA yeah that’s it was your guy said your guy that was my guy so to me I think this is more of a Aaron Donald Kyler Gordon where Kyler Gordon was fine for the Bears he was a solid the best he may be the best nickel corner in the league going forward kyler Gordon oh my bad kyle Fuller i tweaked i tweaked that oh okay kyle Fuller aaron Gord or uh uh um Aaron Donald kyle Fuller got you okay okay aaron Donald kyle did I say Aaron Gordon i Yeah bro you were confusing me i like I was like “Hey I’m let excuse the mess out of my cell phone.” That’s what happens when you start crossing sport it happens to me all the time when I start crossing sports i say Aaron Gordon that’s my bad aaron Donald Kyle Fuller was where I was making the comparison at where to me you look at a player that was really good for the Chicago Bears but then you look at one of the best interior defenders probably in NFL history ahead of him i don’t know if Cedric Coward is going to be that but that’s how this pick felt to me very good player for the Bulls one of the best players in the draft went one pick ahead of him all right we’ll see how it works out but in talking we just talked about who went ahead of him next up we’re going to talk about who went after Noah SN and the centers that went after him that was still left on the board but first we got to get to a message from Wayfair there’s nothing like stepping into your own outdoor space and feeling like you’ve escaped to a personal oasis if if you are wanting to update your patio this wayfair.com right now to shop a huge outdoor selection that’s w afir.com wayfair every style every home more locked on bulls coming up next all right Pat so we talked about who went before uh Kaman Malawak and Cedric Coward went before uh I it did start feeling like maybe if if Kaman was on the board maybe they’ve went that because they already went raw but who knows maybe they zeroed in on Noah noah did say that he had a a a pre-draft meeting with the Bulls where things went really well but as we talked about kind of put us in the same place of the Dalent Terry passing on the center uh Derek Queen Thomas Sorber Asa Newell Danny Wolf Danny Wolf who wins much later almost at the end of the first quarter all still on the board for the Chicago Bulls and let’s keep in mind we also saw teams they bought picks later in the first round and took players that they wanted the Bulls did once again went live on their press conference before the first round was even over signaling that they were done when B when business was still left on the table how how early you think they did that how early you think they Well you got to think about it this way they had to set up for the press conference so that means that even though they I think when they started the press conference there was five picks left on the board but that means they probably decided with about eight picks left on the board to say “All right we’re done for the night.” So So this is the one insight I get being You set up well before the draft oh yeah you set up like the room beginning of uh uh um and and there’s always a camera that’s in I would assume they probably are back home or Mark Eversley is back home um I don’t know did you see him tonight in the draft room or was the draft room i don’t think they showed the draft room at all okay i I I don’t know if they were in Chicago or not but the the the uh um Well they had to be cuz everybody else was in Chicago yeah the media everybody the camera is already in the room is what I’m saying so I I will give them credit on that it’s not like they were like “All right we’re done here.” I mean as far as set up as far as like bring everybody in so let me ask you this cuz this is the insight you know does the media just watch the draft from the the place where they do the press conference because my thought process is you got to tell the media “All right we’re about to start the press conference everybody file in.” So there’s PR so the so the the PR people will come in and tell you we about to start the press conference in a little bit um I would assume that that probably did happen but usually it’s literally like for the Bears anyway it’s like uh Ben Johnson’s coming to the podium get in the room so you say yourself a seat before Okay got you it’s not the second that somebody’s walking out you get that but what what I will say is this with with all of that being said and with with who was left on the board um it was clear that the Bulls were done and with the names that are left over I mean listen you guys know I love Danny Wolf i don’t know if you saw the face of Danny Wolf during the draft he looked that that one got to me and I love his brother supporting him and all of that um he went 27 to the Nets that’s kind of the range that we talk i think the the draft kind of went how we expected it to go pretty much for the most part so I I don’t think that anything is shocking about this Thomas Sorber being the name what did we say this morning it would could have been Kaman Malawak it could have been Noah ak loves high potential low floor are you surprised that they didn’t go Carter Bryant instead of Noah as Carter Bryant’s a little bit more proven still both raw prospects carter’s a little bit more proven though who’s the proven player we’ve drafted under AK iodumu in the second round i mean yeah I I didn’t Adama goes well in the second round adama as well in the sec so clearly we go proven in the second round adamama was an undrafted signing or was he draft adama was an undrafted signing julian was the draft pick so we didn’t even draft Adama so yeah I would assume was literally the only proven player that we drafted so to me like the the Bulls always go potential upside it worked f or it worked for Modis Bzelis and listen I think there was me and you both talked about this when Modus was drafted we were like I mean yeah if he can shoot a three decently he’s a good pick because of everything else now now I’m nervous they just tweeted out Noah uh Essenu is gonna be wearing number 24 that was Tyrus Thomas’ number that don’t hit me as hard as it hits you pause that don’t that don’t throw me off as hard as it always bothered me it’s always bothered me because because to me I ain’t gonna lie to you i liked Cyrus it wasn’t great but I like Tyrus should he have been LaMarcus Aldridge no but I did like Tyrus was he so that don’t hit me as hard as it hits you um 24 is is a that’s an interesting NBA number it’s a little too close it’s It’s close you know you you going to come to Chicago where where one number What are you trying to tell us what are you trying to tell us what do you mean by that what are you saying by 24 are you saying you won up on Michael Jordan or you saying you went down we don’t know no I I’m gonna be honest with you though like the when you talk about the players left on the board he will be judged by the Thomas Sorbers he will be judged by the Derek Queens he will be judged by the Carter Bryants and the the Joan Behingers like to me Noah Essen’s entire career will be very similar to what a number one overall pick and Caleb Williams ended up doing and not just because I’m making the Bears comparisons the entire time but because those were players that me and you both talked about where we looked at and we were like the floor is so high the ceiling is not high the floor is incredibly high on all these players you know what you’re getting i do not know what the Chicago Bulls are getting and no asking it that’s fair that’s fair um I mean the hope is that they’re going to that they’re going to develop him um you know they did say one thing that Mark Eversley did say is that there is a development plan in place the way that he explained it didn’t incite any confidence but he did say that there was a development plan in place so he’s going to get used to Chicago what you going to give him a beef and you you going to drop him you going to drop him on Oblock like bro how I I literally drop him on Oblock say we’ll be back to get you in two hours bro bro I think I I literally said this on the stream i was like you going to assimilate him what you’re trying to figure out if if State Street and 79th cross each other like like what are we assimilating them to can he put the basketball in the basket the Bulls want to worry about too much other stuff bro how’s he going to get used to uh you know Chicago land i ain’t worried about if this man can catch a cab downtown i’m worried about if this man can play basketball right now i I don’t know what to tell you Pat i don’t have no idea what to tell you there bro hey bro i’m not going to lie the gar foreman was screaming out in that see I I didn’t I didn’t get that part oh I got so much let me Let me ask are there any centers though that went after Noah that you think are going to be or we’re going to look back much like we do Walker Kesley and Dalen and say “Why didn’t we get that guy when Thomas and Danny Thomas and Danny?” Thomas and Danny okay i I I think those are the those are the two big question because I think Sorb again Sorbber going to the Thunder first off they figured it out they’re good bro bro you got Isaiah Hartinstein between Cedric Coward going to Memphis they both got Exactly i said it when they traded to go back and watch when they traded for Desmond Bane i said “Oh now they could target Cedric Coward he’s the perfect Desmond Bane replacement there.” Bro bro bro don’t piss me off okay um don’t piss me off my bad my bad i’m I’m already One pick bro one pick bro i I can’t wait to tweet this clip out so you can see it i punched the chair there’s coffee everywhere um the I think that the Derek Queen one to me is not going to make as much of a difference because because listen if you’re a Bulls fan that’s hated on Vu for the last two and a half years you can’t be a Derek Quay fan it’s impossible you can’t sit there and be like I would love a dude that’s back to the basket great post game finishes around the rim solid mid-range and can knock down the three occasionally and then go betrayed Vu so I that part to me doesn’t matter sorber and Danny Wolf I think are going to be big ones that we’re going to pay attention to with the centers taking after uh um uh Noah SN because when you talk about Sorber he’s going to a great situation when you talk about Danny Wolf 27th overall pick there’s only upside there’s not a massive expectation on this young man so to me I think that’s kind of where you’re going to live at and those are the two guys that you’re going to look at uh as uh some question marks very similar to like you said with with Dalen Terry and Walker Kesler so we’ll see what ends up happening but uh before we uh talk about this final day two where the Chicago Bulls have to go out there and listen there’s still pieces they can add me and Hayes have talked about this a ton there is talent in this draft that is going to fall into day two of the draft i think that still has happened uh but before we talk about that we do got to tell you guys all about Skip oh okay i was too busy looking for the banner but there isn’t one for the scam there’s no banner for this there’s no banner but I will tell you this when I found about the draws that SKIMS got I was so intrigued i’ve heard so much about the quality from friends and family who tell me so much about draws that I had to go out and give it a try let me tell you this Hayes it lives up to the hype that’s what you wanted to hear right i’ve always had issues with underwear when you’re talking about the fit the comfort or just finding the right style for me Skiims has changed all of that the men’s line offers something for everyone from boxer briefs to classic briefs all designed with the perfect balance and comfort and style i tried Skim’s boxer briefs and I am hooked they are perfect for my active lifestyle they move with me never lose shape you know what I’m saying and stay in place all day whether I’m working out or just running errands they are the most comfortable and reliable underwear I’ve ever owned in my life plus the lightweight material feels amazing almost like you’re wearing nothing at all do what you want with that so all I need you guys to do is shop Skiims men’s atkims.com and let them know we sent you after you place your first order select the podcast se uh section in the survey and select Locked on Bulls in the drop- down menu that follows again go to skims.com and let them know that Locked on Bull sent you just Haze y’all stay safe out there we’ll be back with more Locked on Bulls right after this don’t say Just H you the one that bro folks for draws bro you slanging draws bro like just just embrace the fact that you slanging underwear my boy listen I’m going tell you I’m going tell you this right now the comforts unmatched brother the fit crazy with that said Pat man um this is the first year of the NBA breaking up the draft into two days draft day uh uh two is tomorrow i I’m concerned mark Eversley basically alluded to the fact of not only are they thinking about shopping the pick but are either that or going draft and stash now Pat there are some players that that like Ryan Calbrer um Maxim Rayald Rasher Fleming Kobe Bria Johnny Broom like so the fact that the Bulls are it doesn’t seem like they’re even thinking about taking somebody that can that can contribute to them they’re thinking about shipping this overseas or or shipping it off to another team do you think that’s the right strategy for where the Bulls are right now listen I right strategy is an entirely different conversation do I think that it’s the strategy that the Bulls will probably go with 100% like AK is a big second round draft and stash guy that’s kind of the world that he has lived in and I I think that that’s probably where we see the Bulls end up going because Mark Eversley out of nowhere brought this up like it wasn’t like anybody was like “Hey do you think you’re going to go out there and not select a pick tomorrow?” And Mark was like “We have a lot of options drafting Stash wait a minute that’s the first option you went with.” So to me I think that’s probably where we see the Chicago Bulls go tomorrow um a player that we won’t see for at least two years and maybe further down the road than that but I mean some of the players that are overseas right now still do give you some upside intrigue yeah definitely but it is kind of a draft and stash situation so if you’re going to go that situation I wouldn’t want to see any of the pieces that are still left overseas in the NBA next season okay i I I mean of course as somebody who’s just been so in engrossed in draft stuff like I look at this and say like the fact that you’re thinking already about punting this off when there’s some players that are and you know Mark did say that the Bulls were in contact with what do you say like three or four teams about potentially trading up which is great like that didn’t happen for you but like you’re not thinking about any of these guys in the second round like it it’s it’s just a surprise to me that like for a team that does want to win now there are tons of win now johnny Broom is a win now player potentially in the second round you’re not thinking about it at all rasher Fleming yeah Rasher Fleming is definitely a win i don’t know if he’s win now but but I think he’s I think high floor player i think it’s better player he’s a player that can develop right now in the NBA i I’ll bet you the Bulls are probably looking at a player like Alex uh Alex Tui out of Australia i don’t know if you got a chance to see him solid shooter he’s probably He’s uh comes in about 67 let me see let me Let me pull No I know what you’re talking about actually I’m not no I I want to make sure I’m not capping six I think uh maybe I may be capping on that i think he’s 66 though okay I got him here in my notes hold on 6’8 230 lb player um out of Australia who more than likely again Australia connection um what I’ve got down for him uh very good shooting versatility very good scoring versatility shot 34% from the three-point line in his time over in Australia his spot up number Hayes I I end up doing some deep dive on this uh this player you got to say that the right way uh he was a spot-up shooter at a 63.1% of his catch and shoot opportunities i would assume that’s probably a look that the Bulls might give here he’s got some solid defensive potential not a great lateral quickness guy but a solid player to take a look at i think he’s a big basketball IQ guy as well somebody you can really rely on to uh help you outside of just shooting the ball but helping space the floor by getting other guys involved and I think he’s really good in the transition game the consistency is his biggest problem yeah but if you’re talking about a second round pick right now and and kind of just knowing how the Bulls makeup is I would think that he’s somebody that does make a lot of sense for where the Bulls are at right now we shall see what happens there Pat uh yeah we’ll see what happens with the Chicago Bulls i think that they have uh there are some players in the second round that I think can be contributors so we’ll see what the Bulls there if they want to go draft and stash like having I I and this this is just a gap in my in my draft process this year won’t happen again next year but I wasn’t even really considering drafting stash players considering how the Bulls have talked about wanting to compete and win now I’m not going to front of you like this is the one year if you go and look at every other year I looked at a lot of European players that may not come over this year I was like “Hey the Bulls said they want to win now why would we drafting stash?” But I do think not necessarily a drafting stash player but a player that could go the Alice Caruso route meaning they have to do a little stint in the G-League before they’re ready uh Adu Pharaoh out of Arkansas yep i know he’s a guy that I would really like in that and I do think uh Roco Zakarsski the Australian he is a drafting stash they could very well draft him have him do another year or two over in Australia before coming over there so I guess those are the two guys that I’d be looking at if we’re talking about drafting stash or let’s talk about a player that may come into the league right now and be able to have an impact i don’t know how much right away but at a position of need for the Chicago Bulls could I convince you in the second round to go with a Vladisol Gold you can but I think that he’d be very I think I I look you can but I I see a lot of Adama Senogo type where we’re just like hey this guy’s playing pretty good hey he probably should get an opportunity at the Oh okay no that’s what I would see probably yeah but Senogo was 69 mhm a lot of soft golden 71 250 like that that is more so play style than side but I get what you’re saying oh yeah listen listen if he comes in the one thing that I will say about him and and I don’t know if how much of Michigan you got a chance to watch this season but like he is in my mind a Zack Edit kind of player and I don’t know if he can be as efficient or or quick buckets as Zachi is but he did not foul in college mhm which is always good for young big man for sure he was very good at not fouling at Michigan and so to me Latisov Golden in the second round if you get him at 45 I think you’ve got a I don’t know if you’ve got an answer at the big man position but I think you’ve got somebody that you can really work out there um 71 250 like I said he was 17 points a game last season he was about seven rebounds a game last season he shot the basketball at a 60% clip last season i think that that would make a lot of sense for what the Bulls still need especially with them going Noah Essing in the first round but again like we’re talking about need and making sense with the Chicago Bulls we can’t really conversation yep you know we heard today that the Bulls per uh they were looking at trading uh Zo and and Pwell and nothing happened so I don’t expect anything to happen look what we said initially is going to be we said that they’re going to draft their pick at at number 12 and basically everything is going to stay the same other than that hey bro that man Mark Eversley said that every day there’s 15 people in the gym bro there’s not 15 people that play for the Chicago Bulls is still in Chicago he said to 12 didn’t he i don’t think he’s No that man said 15 people is in the gym who are these i’m looking at the quote he said 10 to 11 players have been working out at the advocate center hold on hold on i got to pull he may say 10 to 15 people are in the gym but I don’t know if like as far as players he said 10 to 11 players have been working out at the advocate center hey okay so so let’s say he said that who these 11 players cuz I know cuz I follow all the Bulls on on Instagram no at least 10 of them is not in the country no I mean who’s not in the country i think I think other than VU Carter right now is in the DR are we worried about Javon Carter no I don’t think that’s But he’s one of the 10 i didn’t say I was worried about him i mean I think you got to think you got to keep in mind like they’re probably also he’s probably counting in G-League players there like you got you got you got eight to 10 G-League players on your roster a lot of those guys stay in Chicago you got IO you got you got Kobe i’m not s I wouldn’t be surprised if Josh is there now probably getting ready to work out his deal with the Chicago Bulls i think that’s probably what you’re looking at you probably got IO Modis Josh Giddy and then a bunch of G-League players probably Josh is here ain’t Josh still in Well Josh might have been in OKC i don’t know where he’s at i know he came back to America but I know he went down signed the new contract as of a couple of days ago so I don’t imagine that he probably is in Chicago he might be in Chicago josh might be in Chicago i all all I know is Modis and IO is here th THT is probably here tht is probably here too he ain’t got nothing else to do he ain’t got nothing else to do nothing else to do a dang it tht hey man we appreciate y’all for tuning in and showing love hit that like button subscribe to the page leave a fivestar review y’all know what to do of course uh we will have more reaction on the uh day two of the NBA draft i guess tomorrow after the draft we going we going to drop something if the Bulls 1. I know u mentioned Essungue and Eversley talking about him getting acclimated to Chicago. Whats funny is Will Perdue on that pod said Jermaine O Neal as a rookie in Por 19yo was storing trash in his garage not taking it out to the curb and hes American lol, so yea I think acclimated is part of the initial process and getting comfortable off the court which should lead to more focus on the court hopefully by the start of camp. It may have helped Matas as well and his confidence living in Chicago already maybe Ayo as well

  2. Noah looks like a professional g League player, and it's sad to see then pass up on dairy Queen and Drake power, two players that I feel are going to be All Stars in this league, dairy Queen is a scorer, his game is meant for NBA basketball, he's a slashing mid-range jump shooting very well at passing the ball big man that reminds most people of the joker, one of those two of not both of them will be fighting for rookie of the Year, and the boys give us someone is going to be at the end of the bench, somebody needs to be fired, and I'm serious, somebody needs to be fired for this, because this is one of the deepest drives there's so many good players in it, I call a draft like this a reset draft, will you see so many players from this draft make it to the All-Star team, if they become the new perimeter All-Stars of the NBA and they replaced the old, but yet in a deep draft it ridiculous dysfunctional franchise picks a player that's going to be at the end of the bench, it's sad at this point

  3. Guys I’m not sure that we can say that Carter Bryant is more proven than Esengue. Bryant came off the bench in college and played a roles. Esengue played pro in Germany.

  4. Bobby over there on Chicago bulls podcast jinxed us lol he called it in his last video lol I'm glad we got him I wanted DQ but I'm not mad with this pick I'm just glad this is over with now it's free agency time what's next???

  5. Not sure if it's just my aussie bias, but id like them to take a stab at Rocco Zircarsky in the 2nd round. Has good upside and great size .. and maybe an aussie center will be a good luck charm. Worked well in 96-97-98

  6. They clearly ain’t letting Colby go, if he develops it looks like Matas and Noa at the 3 and 4 and they trade for a big. since there’s rumors of Vuc and if Lonzo is included in something they have to be asking for at least a big back in something.

  7. It was a safe pick and not a safe pick for the team.
It's a safe pick for AKME's jobs. Picking high upside players is what they do because if the high upside players play well then they look like geniuses and get all the credit but when the upside picks don't play well they have the excuse of them being upside players and don't get any of the blame.
