Bulls Round 1 Draft Grade: Noa Essengue Drafted With The 12th Pick + 2nd Round Bulls Draft Targets

[Music] what’s going on everybody welcome into the bulls report my name is patrick seman coming up on today’s show i want to get you guys my full thoughts on noah si i gave that instant reaction video early on tonight but after going back watching more of his tape have a better understanding on who this player and just overall project will be for the chicago bulls and then also on the tail half of today’s show the bulls having pick number 45 still in the 2025 nba draft i’ll go over five draft targets that i want to see the chicago bulls select i am going to keep this more guard focused obviously we know the bulls have a need for a center but i do like the options they have at the guard position at pick number 45 now i’m also going to assume that potentially a kobe white trade could be happening or lonzo ball we are getting reports from joe calli that both those guys could be dealt so maybe the bulls will have you know a need at the guard spot that doesn’t look too clear right now but we will be live for round two of the nba draft so if you guys want to tune in please hit that subscribe button right now we’re at 12,18 subscribers so if we could pick up i don’t know maybe about 40 subs off today’s show that would be awesome we’re going to post bulls videos all throughout the summer we breaking down a lot of summer league tape for noah si so if you guys could hit that subscribe button today and also make sure you tune in for our day two draft coverage for your chicago bulls but after watching a senate a little bit more i decided to give this pick a b minus now if you guys were watching during our live reaction to this i was kind of baffled by this selection i knew the bulls had interest in him but i would have thought they would have went a guy like derek queen or thomas sorber try to get the center of the future but they’re taking a chance on a guy who’s got tremendous upside now i think the best thing about a sen is that he is only 18 and a half years old 6’9 has a slight frame 194 pounds so he’s going to have to eat a lot of deep dish pizza here in chicago hopefully uh lumal nadis and geodanos get him hooked up with a sponsorship or something but in all seriousness it starts defensively with noah um he has great lateral quickness which allows him to switch on the perimeter and detang guards um i love his switchability he could guard one through four at a very high level um and he’s a good connecting passer i will say he uh makes some sharp decisions quick decision maker and they did use him a lot in that short roll area this past season which you know if he’s setting the pick and roll giddy gets blitzed off the ball you can just dump it down him um and he can attack four on three with his athleticism he can get to the rim but i will say the things that concern me about him is just his ability to create offensively and maybe the bulls aren’t going to ask him to do a lot maybe they view him as just a three and d guy you knock down wide openen threes in the flow of the offense and you play some highlevel defense does that kind of remind me of patrick williams just a little bit but i do think as more upside than patrick williams even had when he was coming out of florida state but this is what kevin oconor think he does a great job breaking down a lot of these prospects for nba draft saying this on him saying a senate is a toolsy forward with a fluid handle dynamic finishing package and highly versatile defense but his long-term upside hinges on the jumper clicking and if it doesn’t his defense must reach a level that prevents coaches from keeping him off the floor now he did shoot 29.4% from downtown this past season but i do like the form on his jump shot kind of as a jumper similar to nick batum who i compared him to um on our show earlier and you know i like that comparison i think he’s got way more upside defensively than a guy like batum but he’s got a pretty good jumper he gets the same release point every single time it’s a fluid shot and i think it’s just going to hopefully be a rep sing for him and a confidence thing but also this guy did leave his team in germany when they were in the finals people have some thoughts on that i think it’s an interesting choice for a sen but clearly he just wants to you know be in the nba and you’ll get there fast so i don’t really have a big issue but pretty much to sum it up a lot of upside with this guy this is going to be a project bulls fans are going to have to be patient with him i don’t think we’ll get a good evaluation on him for the first couple years hopefully we see some flashes especially in the summer league i think these summer league games are going to be incredibly important for the bulls because if we see him pop in certain spots at least give me you know more optimism on him working out but again very lengthy uh defender he’s not going to be a guy that’s going to create a whole lot with the ball in his hands but again as a 6’9 wing and with a guy like josh giddy on this team we have a you know obviously a heavy guard rotation shouldn’t have to you know be asked to do that but i think the bulls i think they’re saying “hey even if they do keep uh kobe white you got two offensive minded guards we got two defensive minded wings now in bzelis and a sen.” and then we’ll find out who that center of the future is hopefully eventually um is he’s got one more year on his contract he could be traded but who knows but i’m going to give this a b minus you guys let me know your thoughts grade the pick for me down below in the comments section a b c d or f and we’ll talk about some day two draft targets for the chicago bulls here in a second but if you guys want to get a bulls draft hat head over to chatsports.com/bullsdraft i think these things are pretty sweet honestly as was rocking it today love the text love the color here so if you guys want to pick one up i have that link for you guys in the comments section and description of today’s show but chatports.com/bullsdraft check it out today u make sure you guys click that link and pick up yourself a new bulls draft hat all right so we’re going to look at round two here and with the bulls having pick number 45 i want them to get a proven player a guy who can come in and make an impact right away now i know a lot of people will want the bulls to maybe attack a center and quickly here rockco the 7 foot threeman um from australia he’s 19 years old i have interest in him i’m just not sure if he makes it to pick 45 but he’s just a massive human being he has a 31inch vertical with his size solid athlete um doesn’t have a bag offensively but he would be that you know rim protecting you know hopefully a lob threat guy and he could develop but he does have a lot of upside so i will throw out there rocco uh zakars uh zikarsski as a potential guy played in the nbl this past season but my five guys here number one i’m going to go seion james out of duke i think this guy’s just going to be a high impact guy in the nba um he’s a three and d player very physical player as well you guys can kind of see his frame he’s got a ton of muscle on him very you know big shoulders and he was also a great three-point shooter um throughout his career now he did start off at two lane before transferring to duke and this is a guy who i think could come off the bench and be a nice piece especially if the bulls do end up trading kobe white just having more of these guards that are highlevel defenders i think could be huge you obviously you know lonzo still like a question mark there i do believe in him somewhat to get back to at least 70% of what he was back in that 2021 season but keep your eyes out on seion james i’m a massive fan of him had a great year at duke and you know another guy here i’m going to compare cam jones a little old man mike connley like a lefty shot creating guard now he definitely has limitations as an athlete so i’m curious to see if he’ll be able to beat guys off the dribble in the nba compared to how he was at marquette but what i love about the improvement in his game is the playmaking and that really took a massive step this past season um going up to from 2.4 assist during his junior year to almost six assists a game during his senior year like i would just like him to have a guard off the bench just control pace and i do think him and lonzo could play well next to each other um this is another guard to look out for and another guard here tyresese proctor out of duke good shooter has some questionable basketball iq um especially if you ask duke fans they’re not the biggest fan of this guy but again i think he is somebody who could step in knock down shots at a high level for the bulls um and he could be a plus defender as well a smart defender but the thing is with a guy like proctor and i i’m not saying i would draft him at pick number 45 i just do think the bulls need some more shooting and a shooter who can also guard a little bit now you do have kevin herder and the bulls i remember in that playing tournament they kept throwing kevin herder on um freaking tyler herro and he was just getting hooked consistently but i like proctor he could be a developmental guy had a solid four years at um duke as well but you know it’s a guy to keep your eyes out on at pick number 45 again when you’re drafting second round you’re kind of just throwing darts here but a guy i would like to throw a dart at would be ryan nemhard um obviously his older brother andrew nemhard had a great playoff run for the indiana pacers but he’s got an elite iq an elite playmaker man i mean he almost averaged 10 assists a game at the college level which is incredible in 35 games played for gonzaga this past season but he was even a high impact guy during his freshman and sophomore years at kraton uh he can control the game he’s plays with great place pace he plays at his speed so i’d like the idea of that and then also a guy like elijah martin from florida defending national champs um this guy’s a this guy’s a dog man he really fights defensively and you know he can knock down open shots in the flow of the offense as well and listen i obviously know the bulls don’t have a dire need at the guard spot but you know lonzo is on a two-year deal like trey jones is going to leave in free agency they could be trading kobe white i just think this would give them more flexibility to trade kobe and i know a lot of people get mad at me when i talk about trading kobe white i just think that’ll be the right decision for the organization then you go draft another guard at pick 45 and then could you imagine like you obviously hit on io who is a second round pick i just think it’s easier especially in the second round to hit on guards compared to bigs um because obviously bigs like a lot of these guys i mean even seeing like guys like james wiseman marvin bagley these freak athletes just don’t end up working out in the nba so i would rather have them go for a proven commodity at the guard spot but i ask you guys this who should the bulls draft at pick number 45 let me know your thoughts and also make sure you guys tune in for a live draft coverage tomorrow i’ll see youall next time go bulls [Music]

  1. It's the Bulls! Noa is the new center! Lol they had Derek Jones playing center why not this guy with the small ball sh*t they like to play! Lol the Bulls suck! I really don't see the light at the end of the tunnel for this roster unless they make some trades that makes sense!

  2. 18 year old project who’s only draw is he is athletic and somewhat good on defense. I’ve seen this movie before!

He can’t even shoot the ball you might not even be able to play him with Buzelis and Giddey who will shoot the ball the spacing is atrocious. F

  3. I get it guards in the 2nd rnd is safer Maxime Raynaud, Ryan Kalkbrenner, Rocco Zikarsky, Bogoljub Markovic, then Amari Williams Kentucly oh and one more though I'm drawing a blank- your right Patrick we could go Center in the second rnd though we need a player who's more ready

  4. Bulls draft someone who barely scores 11 points? Patrick Williams was a project, Bulls should be tired of projects, this organization will never win again.

  5. With you on Rocco as a poss draft n stash unless he smashes it in training and summer league. Bulls need 3 pt snipers. Proctor fills that need. Whilst on the Aussies Alex Toohey is a gun forward for now and will develop.

  6. Noa Essengue, a French prospect, measured 6'10" barefoot with a 7'0.75" wingspan and a 9'1.75" standing reach at the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, according to a scouting report. He also weighed around 204 pounds

  7. Bulls cant develop a cold. They never draft on guys who can help now only potential. That is why they always draft busts.

  8. At the end of the day, he moves well, plays defense, and runs the floor. Queen and the others just don’t. Last year made it pretty clear we want to play with pace, and Queen’s way too much like Vooch, slow feet, stuck in the mud. I still don’t believe in the coach, but at least the direction finally makes sense
