The Knicks Found the STEAL of the Draft…
the New York Knicks are zeroed in on the man who has serious potential to be the steel of the upcoming 2025 NBA draft with the Knicks front office zeroing in on a few different prospects One of which plays a position that has a ton of question marks upcoming for this Knicks off season and subsequent 202526 NBA season You saw Ariel Huckporty and Mitchell Robinson in that intro video so I’m guessing you know what position it’s probably going to be about and we’re going to break it all down What’s up guys Welcome back to Nick’s Digest It’s Chris here and we’re going to jump right into things As always if you guys are part of that 71% that’s not subscribed to Nick’s Digest and you want daily New York Knicks content this is the place to be Every single day we are dropping a video this off season breaking down the latest New York Knicks news and updates along with trade rumors free agency stuff we are going to be on top of it And whenever anything happens with the Knicks whether that be a trade a signing some major news the hiring of the next head coach that video will be out in under 30 minutes That is our rule here at Nick’s Digest So you do not want to miss out We will have it up instantly But let’s jump into it There is a lot to go over with this Knicks team as the Knicks have found the man with serious potential to be the steel of the 2025 NBA draft And it’s official They will be working him out And look we know the Knicks have some team needs Personally for me I think the thing they need the most is a forward who could score the ball more but they’re going to look at a ton of different areas of need and a lot of which is coming in that front court position leading to the New York Knicks finding this man right here Now if you’re wondering who this is his name is Dylan Cardwell out of Auburn He is someone who screams New York Knicks interested bec or the Knicks would be interested I should say because screams New York Knicks interested is not English So look Cardwell he is a very interesting player now he comes with very high regard as his coach Bruce Pearl said he dominates the boards He’s the best defender on the floor He’s got a chance to play in the NBA and can score in the air and guard the one through the five This is arguably the most versatile defender in the upcoming NBA draft and fans will love this Now Cardwell is absolutely highlighted as an elite elite defender with a lot of potential on that end As it was mentioned here he’s one of the best defenders in the draft As we’re seeing top comments on Instagram saying that he’s any coach’s dream big that he’s just a good human being He is not a dramatic guy There’s not much going on about him He just buries his nose in his work and is a great defender who can jump through the roof and snag some rebounds in the process And there is a lot to like about Dylan Cardwell Now the Knicks have been revealed to be working him out And it’s very interesting We take a look at his scouting report We’re going to make that a bit bigger so you guys can see that Right Right now he is only ranked 86th in the 2025 top 100 prospect ranks in this scouting report right here where his projected draft range is the second round to undrafted The pros are that he excels at scoring on the move He’s an adequate playmaker for his size a solid rebounder a fairly solid defender in general a solid shot blocker solid athlete solid motor and has good hands The cons are he must extend his shooting range He needs to improve his face up game He’s an atrocious free throw shooter Can be too passive on offense Can tend to force the issue too much on offense Can be undisiplined defensively and is a bit older for a draft prospect and may have limited upside because of that So it’s a fair sort of stretch between the good and the bad But a lot of that scouting report does sound like a man that we knew a young man that we knew a while ago And Mitchell Robinson Look a second round guy who can’t shoot a free throw to save his life but a serious bounce can rebound the ball can defend can block any shot in his area It sounds a lot like a Mitchell Robinson type Now this is a guy who would be able to learn under Mitch assuming Mitchell Robinson’s there We will come back to that later in this video But the Knicks they see a guy who they really really believe in here who they are working out right now Now Finch the anonymous NBA scout who usually gives a ton of draft information right before the draft did say he’s an impressive rebounder and screener but I don’t know what else he does He’s a G-League guy I don’t see any kind of draft possibility with him Should probably go to Europe So this is also a guy that’s being sort of looked down upon by a bunch of scouts by guys who just don’t believe that he will be able to cut it in the NBA But he has the chance to prove them wrong with his elite athleticism and his defense overall The Knicks they don’t have Tom Tibido coaching anymore meaning the style could change rapidly And what is asked from a big man can change as well It’s not just going to be be a rim protector do this do that something the Knicks didn’t really have this year as Mitchell Robinson was out till March So there was a lot of concern But looking at Dylan Cardwell he gives a lot on what fans should like about him But here’s the thing The Knicks do have some setters on the roster Obviously Carl Anthony Towns is still here And then there’s also Ariel Hookport who they drafted last year with the 58th overall pick And on top of that they do have Mitchell Robinson who just balled out in the playoffs So are they going to add more center depth this way Personally I would have expected the Knicks to add more of a veteran type center an older guy who can just be a good veteran leader for them whoever that may be But when it comes down to it they’re going to pick the prospect who they like the best and are not really going to care as much about position of need The Knicks rarely draft for a specific position of need and usually tend at least in the Leon Rose era tend to go more towards who they think the best player for them is and who they can get the most out of Now we know that Leon Rose and co do have one of the better drafting resumes recently I understand that things get highlighted like well the Knicks obviously missed out on X Y and Z Most of these guys weren’t under Leon Rose The big miss by the Knicks and it’s a big one is trading the 11th overall pick which was Usman Jang to Oklahoma City and then the Thunder also picking Jaylen Williams with the next pick Look the Knicks it was going to be really hard to get that salary off the books to sign Jaylen Brunson without trading that 11th pick They had to effectively trade it so they could give Kemba Walker’s contract and Nerland’s Noel’s contract and Alec Burks’s contract to the Pistons so the Pistons could use their cap space to eat up three veterans and instead the Knicks have the money available to make the Jaylen Brunson drafting And look I mean I’d rather have Jaylen Brunson than Jaylen Williams and that’s no hate towards Jaylen Williams He’s an NBA champion and he deserves it He’s great And look could the Knicks have probably kept the pick Yes But outside of that they’ve been good with drafting especially in that or outside that top 10 range I mean Obie Toppin’s obviously figured it out now that he’s not playing 10 minutes a game behind Julius Randle because Tibs wouldn’t play either of them together But on top of that what we’ve seen is them select Quinton Grimes who was a good player later on in the sec in the first round them select Emanuel Quickley a very good player who’s getting paid $30 million a year now Later on in that first round they drafted Deuce McBride in the second round They’ve done well for themselves Tucky looks like they got something there Tyler Kolick looks like they’ve got something there Kevin McCuller Jr could easily break out as well The Knicks have not been bad at drafting at all And one of their draft guys is Walt Parin a man who has been a draft guru at his time drafting or having a huge part in the Jazz drafting Rudy Gobear And the Jazz also drafting Donovan Mitchell which is where they got Parn from So the man’s talented and the Knicks have been solid at drafting It’s not like they there’s this narrative that they haven’t been good at drafting dude They’ve just traded their draft picks away because they’re trying to win now and they saw things one way and just things change But the players all are solid players Like all these guys they drafted Grimes in the 20s and quickly in the 20s both became starters in the NBA Duce McBride’s a great sixman who could easily start on a team as well So it’s not like they’re missing their picks They’re getting starter level players throughout these drafts So I’m going to trust what they can do Now on the same time we think about what does this mean for a guy like Mitchell Robinson Does it mean anything at all He averaged seven rebounds and five points in the playoffs He shot 61% from the field He grabbed nearly four offensive rebounds a night Mitch is awesome Does this mean are they going to add more young big men for cheap and then maybe add a cheaper veteran and move Mitchell Robinson There’s a lot of thought that the Knicks would move Mitch if given the right opportunity because his contract is expiring after next season They have to pay Male Bridges or they likely will be paying Male Bridges and Josh Hart which kind of leaves Mitchell Robinson as an odd man out So all of that becomes a facet in this as well On top of the fact that what we start to look at is this sort of situation where are they going to want to pay Mitch again because the injuries or will they try to trade him when his value is high right now There’s a world where they trade him Now every time I mention this I have to obligatorily say I don’t want the Knicks to trade Mitchell Robinson whatsoever No part of me wants the Knicks to trade Mitch Zero Zero Mitch is my favorite player in the Knicks So I know I’m going to get a comment saying “Why do you keep trying to trade Mitch?” I’m not I am saying that what I think is going to happen is the front office is going to look to trade Mitchell Robinson I don’t want them to I think they need Mitch to be their best selves and they should risk losing him in free agency next year to have him when they try to win the NBA Finals in an Eastern Conference that is wide open because two teams that the Knicks have struggled against the Celtics and the Pacers are both not going to be at full strength because unfortunately both guys did deal with those Achilles injuries So and obviously Jason Tatum and Tyres Hallebertton that was I obviously am no big Tyresese Hallebertton fan That was a sickening sickening moment as a basketball fan Absolutely one of the worst I’ve ever felt I I don’t like the Hicks at all but I don’t have anything against them as people especially Tyrese Hallebertton who is a very good dude It’s It sucked so bad to see that But with the Knicks specifically I think they should risk losing Mitchell Robinson to have him on the team next year But maybe they don’t Maybe they’ll trade him because of that And also I want to see Hugporty play in the G-League He put up seven and seven His numbers started to look good in those three games he played before tearing his meniscus But there is also the bit of the injury concern with Huckport He’s torn his Achilles He’s torn his meniscus There’s a little bit of fear that he’s going to deal with some injuries throughout his career as well So we’re going to see what the Knicks do here But I do like the idea of them looking at another bouncy big man just in case because those the Knicks know how to coach a big man Their assistant coach Mark Bryant is an excellent Bigman coach known as a Big Man whisperer So we’re going to see what happens here What do you guys want to see happen Let me know in the comments down below I do not want to trade Mitchell Robinson Like this video subscribe turn on post notifications have a great day and go Knicks Don’t say I want to trade Mitch because I don’t Stop accusing me of wanting to trade my favorite player

I'd trade Mitch for picks and let Hunkporti be the backup
The Knicks are trading out of the Draft IMO
They can’t add anyone salary!
I just subscribed, good info, what i see is about Dylan is the same problem of Mr Robinson, when the team most need it,like finals minutes, they have to keep him in the bench, because he is a awful free throw shooter! Knicks needs to build thats chemistry back!LGK,im from Delaware!
Not good if he forces things and is a horrible free throw shooter
Im a fan of Mitch but I absolutely believe we should trade him. His stock is high because he played well for us and showed health. However. He struggles to stay healthy and I think we should sell high. If it weren't for his health history I'd want him around long term. However, I wouldn't invest in a big with his health history. Trade him, get help elsewhere on the roster and free up some $.
Gets some real content and stop disrespecting Mitch
Honestly I think you should make a NBA youtube channel. I love your opinion and your take on draft content. Just NBA stuff in general would be great!
Knicks need a defensive center, KAT is a liability on defense. Mitch is needed he is our anchor.
They do not need to get rid of Roberson, (you) work around him, we already have Brunson, just picked up Jackson, we go out and another strong guard like a player, that can create his very own shot and very forward as you mentioned, But, just like (you), I do not want them to get rid of our center as he is developing craft and only going to get rid Robinson who may have to sit down, But, just got two nice big men and I do not have problem, taking the weight off of him and being in another, you help keep him healthy, basically keeping him ready, for the most part and this the next center up can us, why he was picked, so we can let Robinson rest as much when we are winning, but, starting out, I want him on the floor, but because he is injury prone at time I going to let him get stronger and rest him, toward the later part of the season, like the last coach did, caught it, like a fish out of water, But, I not getting rid of Robinson and I am 60 and counting, "But, I would clean house and give the new kids on the block, a shot at, starting one of the forwards and then going out and picking up, one of the Ball Brothers, cause they would help Brunson in so many ways, and would put up numbers, if they are healthy as for the players like, Bridges and Heat, I am getting rid of them both, Anthony and McBride the other center and the other new kids on the block I am keeping , because if they are good as every is saying are then for me, it is a no brainer, am teaching them how to respect that position and they can not respect coming off the bench, then I am getting rid of them as well as for OG, I may start him over the new keep d on the block, because he was one of them try to defend, but, a lesson has to be made to the new and older players, for the first 10 to 15 games and see spot on, what the starting 5 are really made forwards, Because the bench, would clean house and represent their squad…… P. S. That's what I think the Knick should, They play good, but, They also gave games away, that would have helped them, make it to the Eastern Finals, But, (Defense) is something people are not paying any real attention to and this was the only reason they took a back seat to Indiana……. New York For Life, "Brooklyn" Skimoe💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
We dont need to trade anyone but Brunson. The reason the Pacers lost in the finals is because McConnell started playing ISO like Brunson. He scored points but he hurt his team with 7 turnovers and not sharing the ball with his teammates just like Brunson. He was stat chasing, just like Brunson. The coach acted just like Thibs by bringing McConnell back on the floor when the team was coming back with great defense and McConnel on the bench. The whole year they played at a great pace but McConnell slowed the ball down, just like Brunson. We got rid of Thibs and now we really need to look at the point guard position if Brunson is going to play the same way. I'm a die hard Knick fan, not a diehard Brunson fan. Ric Brunson needs to go too. Theres no way the team feels like they get a fare minutes with daddy as a coach. Our bench looks very promising with Huk, Beauchamp, Duece, Koleck, and others. Run it back. Get Brunson in check or send him packing.
So basically Jericho sims 😑
Draft Cardwell, Hukporti can back him up, and you trade Defenseless Kat for another star.
We need a powerforward who can SCORE!!! Or a Center who can score!!! Because Town's can play either. The only reason Ewing doesn't have a Ring. Is he never played with Bernard King & King never played with Ewing! please NY Knicks get us a powerforward who can score 18-22 points every night. A point guard off the bench to run the team and score too. Love McBride at Shooting guard. N get a tall Wing like TJ Warren. Sharp shooter's height and sharp shooter's.
They need a starting SG that can defend and shoot efficiently. Especially if Bridges is not traded. Bridges can not be our SG and Hart should not be in the starting 5 this upcoming season. Honestly getting a 2way starting SG and a big 2way PF would be exactly what we need. Bridges gets traded and OG goes back to SF and can play passing lanes. Now you only have 2 bad defenders in the lineup. But you have 3 defensive players that can clean up mistakes.
Trading Mitchell Robinson would be a terrible mistake. Mitch is statistically the greatest offensive rebounder in the playoffs in NBA history, no joke. Per minute, per possession, by percentage. Anyone who watches the Knicks knows how drastically different the Knicks look defensively with him on the floor.
Don't trade Mitchell Robinson,
I prefer the Knicks try and upgrade their offense. Feels like they always try going the defensive rout then, on nights where they're not playing well defensively they get blown out because they can't score enough points
correct as to a scoring creating forward (BYE MIKAL).
So he's not a scorer
This is huge😂, now you're starting to be a clown like the other guy,
