so could the Detroit Pistons be trading away Jaden Ivy to the Milwaukee Bucks this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from ESPN.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving Giannis Antakmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks receiving Tobias Harris Jaden Ivy Isaiah Stewart a 2027 first a 2029 first and a 2031 first round draft pick so in my personal opinion if Giannis was made available on the trademark this off season the Pistons make sense for a destination for him uh but in regards to what the Bucks could be getting back from the Pistons it just doesn’t excite me as it would with some other teams like the Mavericks for example or even the Spurs for that matter so I think that this would be a pretty good trade for the Pistons to make if they’re able to add Giannis to this young core uh that took you know huge steps last year uh making the playoffs etc especially too with Kate Cunningham uh being a superstar in the making in this league this could be a really good fit for the foreseeable future uh but from the Bucks perspective this just doesn’t quite get it done in my opinion like first and foremost those first round draft picks in 27 29 and 31 are likely outside of the lottery like as long as Kate Cunningham and Giannis stay together and stay healthy uh this team is not you know not making the playoffs by any stretch here especially with the Eastern Conference being sort of as questionable as it is right now in regards to who’s who exactly is the best team uh the Pistons could very well be the best team for the foreseeable future by making this deal so as I mentioned before love this trade for the Pistons but from the Bucks perspective the first round draft picks just don’t carry that much value and Jaden Ivy Isaiah Stewart Tobias Harris like you know in Ivy’s case good young players you know Isaiah Stewart does well Tobias to make the money work it just doesn’t get the deal done especially too with an Eastern Conference team trading with another Eastern Conference team there’s always the thought about you know playing these guys in the playoffs etc and this just won’t happen in my opinion so if I had to pick a winner of this deal without a doubt I would go with the Detroit Pistons but as always leave your thoughts
