Trade Rumors ESCALATING… This Trade Proposal is INSANE | Grizzlies News

trade rumors are escalating this trade proposal is actually kind of insane as Desmond Bane was traded last week for a first round pick for Memphis in 2025 specifically the number 16th pick memphis looking to do more damage on that and maybe trade up to the top 10 with this new possible proposal in mind but what’s going on everybody jared Alour here so good to see you here for this episode of Grizzlies Digest for what’s going to be a pretty chaotic day we think we’re already seeing a bunch of blockbuster trades around the NBA recently of course it all started with Desmond Bane last week now the Celtics are they looking to rebuild the Wizards Pelicans looking uh a bit more beefed up now especially the Atlanta Hawks so a lot going on in the NBA and that’s exactly why you need to subscribe to the channel right now you don’t want to miss another upload from us we want to keep getting these videos out to you very important week very important times right now for the Grizzlies organization and we’re going to start right here with an NBA trade idea landing the Grizzlies a top 10 pick and a Desmond Bane replacement so a mock NBA trade idea landing the Memphis Grizzlies as a top 10 draft pick to select a Desmond Bane replacement this is from Liam Willerup of the Grizzlies SI page so sorry Liam if I botched that up for you but this is him talking about the Grizzlies and possibly a top 10 pick and what would that look like well that would look like Carter Bryant from Arizona potentially and it talks about his height without shoes which I think is very interesting he’s 214 pounds nice wingspan there looks taller and more athletic than he looks on the court but we’ll get into Carter Bryant and his highlights in just a moment but Carter Bryant has had a positive pre-draft process and appears ticketed for the late lottery which has interest coming from Phoenix following uh following the Suns trade into the 10th spot toronto at number nine Atlanta at number 13 are also closely linked as landing spots the rest of the league has been working to get a read on the Phoenix Suns since they moved to the slot on Sunday by sending Kevin Durant to the Rockets with three high usage scorers in Deon Booker Bradley Beal and now Jaylen Green joining the team some rival teams expect Phoenix will target a defensiveminded front court player who can complement that of what could be a clunky back court for Bryant and Colin Murray Boils fit that mold and are viewed as some options for the Sun so we’re talking about the Suns here but actually what’s happening is it could be Carter Bryant at number nine could be Carter Bryant number 10 and the reason why we’re talking about Carter Bryant is potentially at number nine is because of this current uh ESPN’s current mock draft has the Grizzlies selecting Kedrick Cedric Coward which Tristan has talked about uh for a couple of days now he’s from Washington State as the number 16th overall pick which is what Memphis is Memphis has right now they have the number 16th pick this mock trade has them trading with the Toronto Raptors to select within the top 10 the Memphis Grizzlies would have the number ninth overall pick and the Toronto Raptors would receive the Grizzlies 16th overall pick now the 48th overall pick in a 2026 first via Orlando Magic so yeah why are we bringing up Carter Bryant and and we’ve been talking about Cedric Coward this whole time there’s another guy that I think is a little bit of a more extreme pick here for this draft here on uh on Wednesday night coming up on Wednesday night but I do believe there’s one other guy that Memphis needs to look at if he remains on the board but we’ll get into Carter Bryant in just a moment here because he looks like a guy who does both very very well here he is with Arizona right now didn’t really fill up the stat sheet that much over at uh Arizona did I just say Arizona State sorry about that but uh Carl Bryant looks like he has a favorable range on the baseline you see him knocking down a few of those three-point shots right there but then you’re going to see him on the defensive end look at that rejection and you’re going to see him right here on the defensive end that’s against the Arizona State Sundevils and more of his defense right there a very pesky guy reaching for the ball and I think he is a phenomenal prospect a young prospect younger than Cedric Coward and I do like Coward i think he has great physicality on both ends of the court as well and you look at Coward I mean he is literally a story that can that a lot of Memphis people can relate to going from a D3 player to potentially a mid firstround draft pick i mean that’s absolutely incredible for Cedric Coward and of course we have some of his videos tristan like I said earlier did a great job uh talking about some of these potential uh young draft picks that Memphis could be going forward cedric Howard is that name that Memphis fans keep going back to that going from a D3 guy to potentially a mid-first round pick I think is absolutely incredible really astonishing that I think all of Memphis would love always having a chip on his shoulder basically has had a chip on his shoulder for the last five or six years of his life so that’s something that I think could be really cool but we talked about Carter Bryant we talked about Memphis possibly trading up to get that number ninth overall pick but then we look at here these are a couple of different mock drafts from the uh crew over at CBS Sports and the one on the left here has Liam McNeely the uh sensational five-star recruit coming out of well born and raised in Richardson Texas went to a couple of high schools in the North Dallas area then went to Mont Verde Academy in Florida and then off to Yukon playing with Dan Hurley had a sensational freshman season there was very little weakness about him and this is what I’m talking about if Leam McNeely is still on the board by the time we get to that 16th pick I think Memphis really needs to think about getting because again all these are young guys i I don’t want to diminish Cedric Coward for being a young guy he’s a young guy but you’re talking about Carter Bryant you’re talking about Liam McNeely 19 years old lee McNeely NBA ready right now carter Bryant i feel like we still need to see a little bit more of him but he’s But Bryant’s going to potentially be that lottery pick if Neil McNeely is still on the board by the time we get to 16 and assuming that Memphis let’s say they don’t trade at all let’s say they stay at that 16th pick I really highly suggest Zack Klyman Memphis organization they need to call up Liam McNeely and have a conversation with him now what else are we looking at potentially here we talked about Nick Clifford i talked about Nick Clifford a little bit went over him the uh young kid from Colorado State a sensational season i talked about him in the very first video over a week ago where we originally talked it was the first Desmond Bane trade video that I think we had went over and then you got Carter Bryant so they actually have Carter Bryant on the right they have Carter Bryant over at 17 so that’s interesting the one on the left has Nick Clifford at 21 and the one on the left has Cedric Coward at 14 so a lot going on here and then potentially some Memphis fans talking about Danny Wolf i see Danny Wolf right there on the right side at number 18 and he could be another sleeper name that maybe Memphis gets i think he’s slower than what he looks looks he you think he has the same speed as slow-mo Kyle Anderson but actually Danny Wolf can handle the ball pretty well he he does very well I think in pick and roll scenarios i think he passed the ball really well has great court vision and just a a big shooting guard and I I think that’s could be very valuable for Memphis to get Danny Wolf as well i think a lot of great names and but I I truly trust the Memphis organization for um for whatever they do here today because it’s truly going to be uh going to be a long night for sure and who knows what else could happen in the NBA not just with Memphis of course we got all Memphis fans here we’ve had uh Laker fans here in the past few days Blazers fans Knicks fans uh just pretty much fans of all sort here coming into the comment section engaging with us and
