so could the Washington Wizards be trading away Jordan Pool to the Houston Rockets this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from Fadeaway World.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Houston Rockets receiving Jordan Pool and the Washington Wizards receiving Jabari Smith Jr Reed Shepard Jock Landale and the 10th overall draft pick this year so with the Kevin Durant trade taking place yesterday with him of course going to the Rockets the 10th overall draft pick now belongs to the Phoenix Suns but you can also throw in you know a future draft pick whatever the case may be to kind of replace the value there so this trade is definitely still very possible there actually has been a lot of speculation regarding uh what the Rockets could be doing next could they be making a trade for Giannis could they be making a trade for like a Jaylen Brown or a John or perhaps that second tier in this case a Jordan pool now in my personal opinion uh Jordan Pool just doesn’t make that much sense on this Rockets roster so I don’t really see the uh the appeal here of trading away Jabari Smith Reed Shepard and Jollandale uh three assets they were able to avoid in the Kevin Durant trade and sort of trade those for Jordan P so it doesn’t make the most sense there um I think they I think if the Rockets are going to package these assets together they want to go after a player of a larger magnitude so that’s where as I mentioned before maybe a Jaylen Brown comes available maybe John Morance’s available whatever the case may be where these assets could be better utilized in a trade of that magnitude now from the Wizards perspective I love this deal um I think Jordan Pool’s a very talented player individually speaking but for the long term of this franchise probably won’t be the best player on a championship team where if you’re able to flip him for some good younger assets plus draft capital in this case Jabari Smith Reed Shepard and Jollandale and a future first round draft pick that is tremendous value for a player that truthfully speaking isn’t everyone’s cup of tea in regards to a winning type of basketball player so if I had to pick a winner of this deal without a doubt I’m going to go with the Washington Wizards but as always leave your thoughts
