The Portland Trail Blazers Just Drafted The NEXT NIKOLA JOKIC… (Hansen Yang)

so I wanted to talk more about Hansen Young the Portland Trailblazers drafted him at the 16th overall pick and he was rejected a second round pick and so a lot of people were shocked that they took him very very early including me because when you look at the roster you know they already have like five bigs i feel like they drafted Dunovan Klingan DeAndre Aton Robert Williams now you’re going to add him so there’s a lot a lot of centers over there now if I’m Portland the best decision you guys go with is trying to flip Robert Williams trying to flip DeAndre Hayden and going with the young core with Cllingan and Hansen Young you already got a nice team over there Shaden Sharp Denny Yabia um so and Scoo Henderson of course so you know more looking at it more i’m actually not mad at the pick especially when we look at the the good of Hansen Young you know postc scoring has a deep bag in the post with you know smooth footwork primary moves and um the field to make counters when he established deep post positioning he’s hard to stop inside um Knack for scoring near the rim also translate to hitting layups and cuts off rolls his passing is what a lot of people have been talking about great passing vision for a big man he makes quick decisions and generally um delivers accurate passes uh his team would even run offense through him he could offer value playmaking out of handoffs so a lot of people have been comparing him to like Sabonis Soom and you know with the height with the size of you know being well giving them rim protection and you know having players in your team like Shayen Sharp Danny Abia good cutters I definitely think he can work out with Portland for sure now obviously there is some cons with it his shooting is not the greatest his interior defense is not the greatest and his speed um you know typically when it comes to these sevenfooters they’re not the fastest um and obviously in the NBA if you can’t play out of a pick and row and you know play defense on that you’re going to get exposed and you just won’t be able to play on the court um so hopefully that can work out a little bit better um also when it comes to shooting he made only 20% of his threes 29% of his two-point jumpers and 66.8% of his free throws um and obviously he said there’s not much evidence he’d be able to shoot effectively i don’t think he will be a great shooter in the league but you know having that ability always helps because even when you look at Sang Goon he has the mid-range with the one-footer um you look at Sabonis he has the midi also can space it out to hit the three and stuff like that um also when this is a terrier defense not elite shot uh shot blocker which is concerning especially despite his size due to lack of great length or you know leaping ability um he needs to get quicker moving in tight spaces to react to fast moving um NBA athletes attacking the rim but like I said there’s a lot of good to look at Hansen Young obviously there’s a lot of stuff that he needs to work on um Portland GM came out and saying he’s going to be playing in the GLeague probably get a chance to play in the NBA too so we’re going to see him fast summer league is going to be here before you know it but if he has that passing ability which a lot of these bigs nowadays in the NBA have like Jokic he’s going to work out perfectly fine um I don’t know how I feel about the fit of Klingan and him on the court together because I just feel like it’s going to clog a lot of stuff up um with being nonshooters but once again you know looking back at the draft pick did they reach maybe but I definitely think he’s going to have a solid NBA career um if he’s surrounded around the right team um right personnel and I’m definitely rooting for Hansen Young so once again let me know what you guys think about this pick do you guys think they reached do you guys think this was a perfect pick for Portland and if you did subscribe to the
