I'm Australian, and you're right about the Josh Giddey connection. Australia is a small nation of 2600 people, and Lachie Olbrich's parents used to live with Giddey's parents in the 90s, as they are second cousins.
Giddey made a call to Lachie's dad (Giddey's great uncle), who then called the Prime Minister, who is friends with Luc Longley. Longley told AK to draft Lachie Olbrich… and the rest is history!
