EVERYTHING Just Changed…

everything just changed for the Toronto Raptors following night one of the NBA draft as of course Messiah Jerry selected CMBB with the number nine overall pick and this along with some new reports reveals a lot of updates regarding current Toronto Raptors players and what it means for the direction of this team entering free agency including a Chris Buché update because there’s been a lot of questions and not a ton of answers about Chris Buché’s future with the organization and all signs point to being gone after these latest updates on top of the recent Raptors draft selection so we’re going to dive into all that in this video of course if you want to join the over 38,000 of us here now at this point on Raptors Die just join this community make sure you guys hit that subscribe button it’s free it’s down below and you won’t miss a single thing going on with this Toronto Raptors team if you do hit that sub button so appreciate every single one of you that got us to this landmark milestone for the channel we’re very very close to 40,000 subs but let’s dive into the news because there are a lot of things to break down following night one of the draft for the Toronto Raptors selected Colin Murray Boils as this has led to a domino effect of reports updates and news regarding uh the future of this team and how it’s going to impact you know the squad going forward so the first one because there was some speculation about what Messiah Jerry would do with this draft pick and specifically common malwatch was a name and when common malatch was out there you know as a potential prospect for the Raptors and he fell to the Toronto Raptors at the number nine overall pick of course we didn’t go in that direction but there were question marks about whether he’d actually fall to the Toronto Raptors whether we would select him regardless of all that there was a lot of questions about what Yaka Purle’s future was with the team if common Malawatch ended up getting selected by this Raptor squad but now the one question mark about Yakaba Burle’s future is answered after last night and a Yakoble extension is incoming without a doubt for this team here now at this point barring any last minute negotiations that make things messy between the two parties so what’s going on what’s the latest updates regarding a Yaka Purle extension well we’ve already broken this down out here on Twitter a little bit in terms of the latest updates so basically uh so multiple major updates so Yakapurle was not involved in any of the Kevin Durant trade talks this is something that was brought up previously but an extension is likely coming sooner rather than later and now all the more likely that the Raptors did not select common malawatch and it’s projected to be in the $30 million per year range for either three to four seasons so Michael Grange this is all no intel coming from Michael Grange came out and said that the structure and timing of the deal is designed to offer the club flexibility as they build out a competitive roster so basically Yaka Purle we can fully expect to get that extension here now at this point as there are no other options at the Toronto Raptor center position now $30 million might look people might look at that and be like hey that’s a ton of money you look at similar players across the league as uh you know Daniel Gaffer got roughly $20 million per year now he’s coming off the bench of the Dallas Mavericks they have Derrick Lively so that is one thing to factor in yaka Purle is better than Daniel Gaffford in my opinion and I think a lot of people’s opinions but basically an extension for Yakapurles incoming and 1510 really effective defense out there a veteran presence and you know being the anchor of the defense for this Raptors squad i think that’s deserve it you know that reported number from Michael Grange makes a ton of sense and of course we do see the Raptors have a ton of contracts out there in the future and this is going to segue into the next topic as well but you can’t we don’t have any big men right now now we’ll see what happens in the second round maybe we find a steel out there at that point and we’ll talk about something later on the center position as well but basically expect this Yaka Purle extension to happen imminently now that the Toronto Raptors especially didn’t draft common Malawatch so that’s the first big update in regards to uh you know following night one of the NBA draft the second one is one I’ve been hearing a lot of questions on here and a lot of updates on and it’s Chris Buchet and his future with the Toronto Raptors and all signs point to him being gone here now at this point now you might say this Ben we’re talking about big man chris Buchchet can play center you can do all this stuff like what is his future expected with the Toronto Raptors well after the Raptors drafted Colin Murray Boils there’s not a lot of opportunity here now for Chris Bush to get any run to get any minutes next season as he plays the same position as Chris Bush we still have Jonathan Mo but we still have all the guys looking to get run looking to get minutes on this team next season that weren’t here that that were here last season now we add another kind of guy out there into the mix now Chris Buché of course is a you know fan favorite and you know people love Chris Buché in terms of what he’s done for this team and stuff and last season in his limited games averaged 10 points per game five rebounds you know shot 36% of the three-point line and 40% from the from the corners like Chris Bush is an awesome basketball player here’s a guy I’d like in a vacuum to have back on this squad but it’s very very tough to bring him back when you consider the Raptors contract situation as we are creeping very very clo close to that luxury tax which you know bringing him back in Chris Buché would lead to tens and tens of millions of dollars for Raptors ownership paying in luxury tax fees and would lead these you know with the contracts only going up in the future with our young guys and extensions coming for the future of Grady Dick of Oiabaji of Jacobe Walter all these potential players players were hoping to keep I’d imagine for future seasons you know if you’re in the luxury tax right now we’re kind of a fringe team we don’t know if we’re going to be good we don’t know if we’re going to be weak but it doesn’t make sense to break into that area so unless trades happen the cap doesn’t work out but what makes this even more unlikely is Chris Buché’s recent interview so he would came out and uh basically said to Mike Scott in an interview with Mike Scottto saying that obviously I want to play with a team that’s going for winning i want to get back into the playoffs when I look at the playoffs I don’t see myself not being in it i’d say there are a lot of things I can do to help a team i feel like with Toronto I’ve always been lucky to be with this team trying to win this year it was a little bit different and it felt a little bit different now it’s about how I can get better and be wherever it is whether that’s here in Toronto or somewhere where they want to win if that’s the case that’s where I should be so he said that which again you might look at that on its surface okay he said whether it’s here whether it’s somewhere else whatever but the next comments kind of make it even more indicative of his future with this team so I didn’t play as much last season but the minutes I’ve played with them they were very successful and impactful it really all depends on them if they want to go in a different route that’s up to them when it comes to me and my fit with the team I feel like I’m able to adjust to whatever it is i don’t I do I want to be on the floor not playing and wait i feel like I’ve been doing that for at least two years we haven’t had much winning in those seasons which explains it but I can’t really afford to not be on a playoff team and trying to win especially when it comes to my age went on to say I want to be able to help a team win i I well so he said that here and it’s up to the Toronto Raptors drafting Colin Murray Boils essentially indicates there’s not going to be a lot of room there’s not going to be a lot of minutes there’s not going to be a lot of opportunities for Chris Buchet on the team next season now you know if they have a ingenious strategy thing and say Chris Buché can play center maybe there’s a world where that’s the case but you drafted Murray Bulls and basically Chris Buchet’s expectations hopes wants you know to be able to get out there on the floor to be able to get out there and get on this team isn’t indicative of what Toronto is able to offer him here right now and he basically came out and said I want to be able to help a team win i think that I’m able to fill a lot of roles one thing that’s good about me is you can put me in almost anywhere except point guard i’ll figure it out and I’ll be impactful and consistent i think I’m at that point where I can be on a team help them win and play meaningful minutes and have a consistent role have a consistent role and not hoping or not knowing what’s coming next so the thing about this right if Chris Bush is back with this team sure there’s an avenue there’s a possibility for him to get minutes to get run but it’s less likely than it was in previous seasons and there’s just going to be a lot more of that not knowing and that’s not what Chris Buchchet wants that’s not what he’s going to come back for and as much as I love Chris Buchet as much as you know as solid as a basketball player and frankly in a vacuum I think he’d be really good in the short term on this team he doesn’t really fit the timeline and fit what the Raptors are doing here now at this point so it sucks but Chris Bush is going to end up walking in free agency that’s kind of the reality of what’s going on here now at this point you know that’s that’s safe to say following night one of the draft so we have those updates there those quotes from Chris Buché and the final thing we’re taking a look at is the Raptors believe in Olar Shamsh and this is bouncing off some quotes from the back half of last year but Messiah Jerry was very complimentary of Olar Shamsh and his development out there in the G- League bobby Webster had some nice comments of Shamsh too and basically talked Dan Tolsman as well like they have all come out and talked about Olamche being a guy that they were really impressed with the development how unfortunate it was he got injured the back half of this year but again the Toronto Raptors did not go in the direction of selecting common malwatch a guy that could have easily been the backup center for this team again Moobo has played some opportunity at centers murray Boilles has had some moments at the center position we do have on that uh you know as a potential roster spot you know the the Orlando Robinson we ended up uh ended up waving there but Colin Castleton is the guy that’s now on the squad so there are some pieces that can play backup spot if orch isn’t there but they are really clear in the way for him to have an opportunity this season to get some actual run with the main club and be the backup center the fact they didn’t draft common malawatch so that’s a that’s a signal that’s a signal with actions they’ve said it with words messiah Jerry’s come out and said it with his voice you know how they believe in older Shamshi they like his development all that stuff but now they’re doing it with a actions by passing up on a young big man now of course there might be some moves there might be some things into play you know about that backup center spot but we’ll keep an eye on everything that’s going on here on the channel so but I think that’s a testament to how the Raptors believe in Olar Shamsh so lots of updates lots of things going on with this Raptors team let me know what you guys think about it all in the comment section down below you guys the best thing this far subscribe to the channel if you guys haven’t already anyways I’m signing out

  1. I want rocco zikarsky!! 7’3 18 year old. Why not? Then trade jak and rj for another dawg!

  2. Idk why ppl want RJ traded🤨🤨 you can’t just replace 21 ppg that easily, he’s hometown and he loves it here, why TF would wanna trade him, you saw the kid last night shake his head and go “fckkk” he don’t wanna be here and you wanna trade a guy that does🤨 weird behaviour, he said “uckk” everything else after that was damage control and media training, not everyone’s as arrogant as goran dragic to be straight up with it, and also get rid of IQ he’s hella overrated and I don’t see what everyone else sees in him, if there’s any trades trade him for a serviceable big air flip for another PG package him and ochai or something

  3. Trade Dick for Walker Kessler. And then trade Poetl for future picks. RJ needs to accept a 6 man role as a scoring machine of the bench.

  4. I like Boucher, with how many crap players they have I never understood why he didn't get more play time. Also Scottie had an immediate fan following when he was drafted because he was clearly a happy guy who was glad to be here. CMB came off the opposite of that and the fans will never accept him. He won't be long for Toronto unless he is way better than people think he will be and the fans come around on him but honestly thats doubtful.

  5. Paying poeltl 30mil a year should be a crime. The raptors gotta stop overpaying these players, to these ludicrous contracts. If Poeltl goes to another team he’s getting no where near 30mil…shii he might not even get 20. The man doesn’t even space the floor for goodness sake to even justify such money.

I would get in contact with the blazers about one of there centres.

Lock CMB in a gym and don’t let him out until he can hit a 3 consistently. He’s a solid player though.

  6. boucher was gone long time ago. he isnt a darko player cuz he cant ball handle and pass, and his basketball IQ is low but slightly higher than precious. precious going to schroeders position on the perimeter beside schroeder one game told us all precious might be special.

  7. Chris we love you bro , you will be missed , but I wish you all the success in the world, hopefully you end up in Indiana with spicy p 👍 🎉

  8. HOWS ABOUT WE GET RID OF THE GMS THE CHAMPIONSHIP HONEYMOON IS OVER NICK NURSE IS GONE NOW ITS TIME FOR THE GMS TO BE GONE TOO ALL THE PLAYERS THEY TRADED AWAY THEY ALL WAS IN THE PLAYOFF SHOWING US THAT IT WAS BAD TEAM MANAGEMENT NOT GETTING A GOOD HEAD COACH
