FULL NBA TODAY | Durant joins Rockets? – Myles Turner to Lakers? – Giannis to Heat? – NBA Finals?
la is threetime NBA champ Danny Green our senior writer and of course the host of the Hoop Collective podcast Brian Winhorse and 2008 NBA champ Kendrick Perkins sham Sherano will also join us in a few minutes with the latest on Tyrese Hallebertton’s Achilles tear so fellas last night was only the 20th game seven ever in NBA Finals history so let’s relive the moment here okc Paycom center ready to rock tyrese Hallebertton got off to a great start day getting hot getting hot this is game seven you want to see well we thought we wanted to see yeah three threes in that first quarter in the first seven minutes or so of play but then unfortunately here he goes down man that just makes you cringe seeing it in slow motion the replay that’s that’s tough to watch you know especially as a play with an injury everyone knew he was very hurt there that it was much more serious and there he is being carried off by his teammates and staff his father John Pascal Yakima was in that huddle telling guys stay with it don’t force it play our game and they did that certainly nemhard with the big three before the end of the half tough tough tough shot from deep nimhard has been key for them he’s been great for them all series long and they needed him and TJ McConnell step up and they did so they had the lead but then CED took over in the second half on the defensive side looking like young Timmy D five blocks protecting the rim that’s the one thing that they needed they needed rebound and rim protection and Chad came up big for them in that game a game seven finals record but then they ramped up the D which is what they’re known for hang time Euroack tough shot good defense better offense by JD one of the best defensive teams we’ve seen in the history of the game but offensively a really good threat also tie ball game here in the third the step back for Shay drains it sheay goes to work deja Vu this time though spins to the wing dubbed for three gets the friendly roll and that’s when the game opened up also because not because SJ was scoring but his assists 12 assists playoff career high he was creating offense for his team shay really putting the finishing touches here early in the fourth like I said deja vu looked like like the same move twice indie made it close for a moment but OKC pulled away nba champions you see Hallebertton there giving his teammates some love but Shay and the Thunder are champs here’s SGA it doesn’t feel real um so many hours so many moments so many emotions so many nights of disbelief yeah night to believe it’s crazy to know that we’re all here but uh this group worked for it this group put in the hours and we deserve this i’ve been through so much personally this year not only the hip but other things playing too i’m proud of these guys for holding it down while I was out i’m proud of myself for never quitting broken bones bruises it’s all temporary but this is forever it doesn’t feel real like everything like the last like minute and a half of the game didn’t feel like I was there anymore it kind of just felt like I left my body a little bit and like just watched watched myself like get it and do that whole thing it still doesn’t feel real that’s interesting because I spoke to him on ESPN radio in the postgame and he was telling me that in the immediiacy of it that’s him many minutes later still saying the same thing but Perk you picked this Thunder team in this series how will this Thunder team be remembered when it’s all said and done as one of the greatest teams to ever do it because they’re one of the greatest teams one of the greatest defensive teams in NBA history so I don’t want people out there trying to downplay it and try to act like they had a cakewalk to the uh finals and the championship no they did what they needed to do they won 68 games this season they came into this postseason they handled their business in the first round they defeated Nicole Joic and the Denver Nuggets in a tough sevengame series and they battled against a tough well coached Indiana Pacer team and I understand Tyrese Hallebertton went down in game seven but part of winning championship is having luck right having healthy bodies and when you look at the age of this group the youth of this group you don’t find groups like this that that are willing to sacrifice and be all in and lose themselves into the team like we witnessed last night or throughout the course of this postseason with this ch with this th young Thunder team they’re one of the greatest defensive teams I’ve ever seen with my own eyes and in history yeah I’m with Perk on that they put on display i’m a defensive guy so you know I love that end of the floor they put on a unbelievable display defensively of getting deflections getting down the passing lanes and creating offense but I like to highlight individually SGA just the mental fortitude and the stamina to exert that energy for a full regular season of winning 68 games or so winning 84 for the total but winning the MVP of the regular season and then going on the postseason winning also the scoring title regular season but winning finals MVP you don’t see there’s only a handful of guys that won regular season MVP finals MVP and scoring title he’s up there with some great names of four like four people i think a list of four people yeah it’s uh and he’s only in his mid20s so for a guy at this age to be that mature and have that mental stamina says a lot and I I love the position he’s put them in for the next decade moving on forward shaq Kareem Michael Jordan SGA those are your four now there you go yeah Brian guys this this team checked all the boxes they had um they had all stars they had all guys on all defensive team they Sheay wins four trophies when you include the Western Conference Finals MVP trophy they were the best team basically from the second week of October onward they faced adversity in the postseason they were down twice in series 2-1 playing game four on the road down the fourth quarter of both games come back and win that they get to great play from the supporting cast they get great defense they had great uh uh transition game great turnovers to to points this is as as clean of a team and clean of a championship as you can possibly have and it’s all organic this team was built from scratch beginning over July 4th weekend six years ago six years they build up and they look at their wins 22 42 57 68 it’s right on path it’s basically story book and they can now enjoy it with a great opportunity to add in the future no question about it Brian and this Thunder team will go down as one of the best all time as Brian just alluded to they finished with 84 wins this season when including the regular season and the playoffs that’s tied for the third most wins in a season in NBA history okc is also the youngest NBA champion as Perk mentioned or well since the 7677 Bill Walton led Blazers and the second youngest in the shot clock era to win it all so the Thunder they could be even better next season with all 15 roster players under team control plus two more first round picks to keep adding to this title worthy young core that’s only in this season first round two first round picks they got plenty more beyond that an unreal season for OKC and on the other side of things we had unfortunate breaking news this afternoon our senior insider Sham Shirania joins us now shams you reported a couple of hours ago that Tyrese Hallebertton did tear his Achilles last night what more can you tell us about this devastating injury george I’m told that Tyrese Hallebertton will be undergoing surgery to repair that right Achilles tendon tear very soon the surgery is imminent and that injury timeline will likely put him out for the entire 202526 NBA season and remember this is a player that gutted out a calf strain an ankle issues all during the NBA finals on that same right leg in that Achilles area and then last night suffers the Achilles tear he’s had a me memorable playoff run over the last year he’s risen to superstardom in the NBA but his Achilles tear now likely puts him out all of next season thank you Shams we will connect with you here in just a few moments as well so thanks again now Perk what’s your reaction to this news that Tyrese did in fact tear his Achilles and as you heard Sham say will be out next season well well first praying for him you know for a speed of recovery for him to get back on the floor you don’t want to see a guy go down like that especially on the stage like that but Wendy here we are again right it seemed like every single time you and I are sharing you know this platform together when it comes down to addressing this situation and I understand you want to be out there on the floor we go back to 2019 wendy you and I were covering the NBA finals danny you were actually in the NBA finals about to win your championship with the Toronto Raptors and I said the same thing to Kevin Durant right i told him to his face and I said it publicly you know I wouldn’t play you know the calf injury man we you know it’s it’s nothing it’s nothing to play with history tells us that and and I hate it for him because you you have that balance you want to be out there but at the same time you know you have you you’re the Indiana Pacers you have 200 plus million dollars that is invested into Tyrese Hallebertton and the thing is you have to protect your guy you have to protect your guy i know he wanted to be out there but I think a conversation a hard conversation needed to be had that he needed to sit out the remaining of this NBA Finals and give up to getting healthy so that he can make sure he’s available for next season now all of a sudden we’re here now where Strongs is reporting that he’s going to miss next season and it’s just unfortunate yeah um Perk I that was those are two of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed in the NBA watching remembering KD leaving the arena in in the case in 2019 he he left the arena during the game got in an airplane and flew to New York to have surgery the next day in this case Tyrese Hallebertton off to an absolutely brilliant start to this game we know that Tyrese when he gets off to great starts it changes his whole mentality when he hits his first few shots we also know that when he scores over 20 points the Pacers are next to unbeatable so he is experiencing like this dream situation where he is having a great start potentially a great game in game seven of the finals and then he falls and the reason he’s so upset George as you watched him get carried to the back isn’t just because his pain is so deep it’s because he knows that he was having an incredible moment that he had dreamed of that had slipped away and he knew it in that moment and look here’s the problem the problem is he had played in game six and been able to really play well and trust the leg and get it done and so that’s the thing that’s so tricky and that’s one of the reasons why when you see calf strains you often see players get shut down for weeks even though it doesn’t seem like it would be that severe of an injury they get shut down for weeks for this exact reason because of this and it’s just a heartbreaking situation and unfortunately the Pacers will now deal with it next year and we have the Eastern Conference completely reshaped by torn Achilles tendons to Jason Tatum Tyresese Hallebertton and Damen Lillard next season yeah it’s a it’s a tough one man um to see but most players most guys will say is it worth putting your calf on the line for an NBA championship most guys would say yes right obviously granted this the situation injury that happened you can’t predict that it’s going to happen but it’s like will I push it you kind of put that on the line for that but sometimes like Perk said you got to have the organization has to have your back and protect you from yourself sometimes but if you ask Tyrese if he would he change things he might not he give himself a chance to win NBA championship game seven everything on the line these are the moments that you live for but with that being said the East is wide open like Wendy said teams like Orlando Milwaukee you know obviously Cleveland and New York are the heavy favorites but those other teams they have a chance now to have a window to make it to Eastern Conference if not the finals next year a speedy recovery to Tyrese Hallebertton and we’re going to talk about the East in just a moment but coming up next at level for sure in the finals a memorable playoff run for the Pacers despite the loss but the lasting image of game seven might end up being Tyrese Hallebertton going down just 7 minutes into the game our Sham Shirani reported earlier that Hallebertton has a torn Achilles the NBA world reacted on social media last night to the crushing scene shay Gilas Alexander who was guarding Hallebertton on that play spoke about it after the game my heart dropped for him like I couldn’t imagine uh playing the biggest game of my life and something like that happening it’s so unfortunate it’s not fair um but competition isn’t fair sometimes but yeah I just felt so bad for him um and just ask if he was okay obviously he wasn’t but uh prayers go out to him for sure hell of a player he authored one of the great um individual playoff runs in the history of the NBA with dramatic play after dramatic play it was just something that no one’s ever seen yeah Danny I would echo those sentiments of Rick Carlile a postseason to remember for Hallebertton in case you need a reminder first round game five against the Bucks trailing by seven 40 seconds left in OT hallebertton beat Giannis on the game winner from missed overrated to Mr clutch he had time and time again clutch basket after clutch basket all throughout the whole postseason second round against the Cavs in game two on the road another seven-point comeback here left his mark in this one anytime the the game was on the line he wanted the ball and he showed why conference finals this is the shot everybody’s going to remember this was the one at the Garden don’t do them like that and give him the Reggie choke sign sent them to OT and then finish the deal there iconic iconic moment and then game one of the finals i’m right there at that scores table i had a perfect view of that 3 seconds left you don’t see that often for the mid-range game winner what a pull up there a clutch run unlike anything we’ve ever seen from Tyresese Hallebertton unbelievable with Hallebertton 26 season Danny in jeopardy the Pacers have uh 15 to1 odds to return to the finals at the moment six shortest odds in the conference the Cavs Knicks Magic Celtics and Sixers all have shorter odds to be East champs our front office insider Bobby Marks joining us now the Pacers had an amazing run as we highlighted there Bobby but this Hallebertton injury puts a real dark cloud over their future so Bobby how do things look for Indie heading into the offseason well I I think Georgia silently starts with the free agency of Miles Turner the top center on the free agent market what happens with Miles Turner in light of this Tyrese Hallebert injury as Brian and Shams had reported Indiana was willing to pay the luxury tax to bring Miles Turner back they have not done so since 2006 what happens with Turner this market is not great out there unless you are resigning with your own team and if Turner does resign what is happens to the future of Benedict Mathan who is rookie extension eligible he could be a free agent in the 2026 offseason and then certainly Aaron Smith who has two years left on his contract and is also extension eligible for up to threeear $64 million remember the strength of this Indiana team was their bench and does it the Hallebertton injury coupled with a Turner uh new contract does that diminish moving forward here so Bobby the East is wide open as we go into next season more so than I can remember for sure where do the Pacers stack up in the East moving forward here you know what George i had three revisions for their offseason article going into last night and we had to write a fourth one based on on the Hallebertton injury and in the prior three they were the favorite they were the favorite in the Eastern Conference along with Oklahoma City out west and I think last night certainly changes that where now they are in a position similar to where certainly where Boston is with the Jason Tatum injury where Milwaukee is with the Damen Lillard injury we’re looking at Cleveland certainly in New York the Cavs finish with the best record those two teams are should be the favorites and then of course Orlando and then we as we see here Boston and you know we’re not talking about last year’s offseason winner Philadelphia certainly keep an eye on Philadelphia if that roster can stay healthy yeah I think when you look at the Pacers they’re clearly one of the deepest teams in the league so on one hand you know they can survive an injury but on the other they are so geared toward the way Tyresese Hallebertton plays with their high-speed attack they’ve really built their entire team around Hallebertton when Rick Carile got there to be the head coach his number one priority was to get a point guard specifically Tyresese Hallebertton who he wanted to draft in Dallas before he left the Mavericks and so I believe the Pacers are still going to be extremely formidable with this team the question as Bobby you know raises is I do think they’re going to prioritize resigning Miles Turner the question is will they go into the luxury tax to do so meaning would they take another player potentially would push him in the luxury tax and trade him to save money that’s probably something that they’re having hard conversations and considering after they deal with taking care of Tyrese Hallebert and having surgery uh very soon to get that addressed danny it’s interesting to Brian’s point about the offense being his basically Rick Carile famously had not turned the reigns over to very many point guards he did that with Hallebertton from their first dinner together when he got traded from Sacramento so certainly a big blow to them in that regard definitely but I I I got to give Pascal Seakum a lot more credit and also their backup you know Bob Meer said something when I was watching the finals they have some of the two best backup point guards in the league with Nemhart and TJ McConnell they’re going to get their money’s worth out of these two guys so this team is still a very good team top six team in my eyes as a playoff for next year the East is wide open and because of the chemistry and the bond they have the gel they have they could be a sleeper team to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals again like a Miami Heat has done in the past so I I like what they have i like the depth they have they signed Neith back and Mat back keep Miles Turner this is a really good group and a team that’s definitely a playoff you know perspective and could be a sleeper that can get into that Eastern Conference Finals yeah Kevin Pritchard’s done a phenomenal job building sending two-time finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jaylen Green Dylan Brooks the number 10 pick in this upcoming draft and five second round picks kd found out while at Fanatics Fest here’s how it all went down all right everyone it seems like there is a news report that has just taken place about destination i believe has been traded to the Houston [Applause] all right welcome back here we’re here with our guy Sham Shirani again so Shams KD to the Rockets how did it all go down George in the last couple days before the trade the Suns had just essentially been in negotiations with the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets those were the two finalists for Kevin Durant but at the end of the day the fact that his preference was Miami Houston or San Antonio it played a big part in where these trade conversations went for the Suns and if there were teams like Minnesota others that had interest in him the fact that he had one year left on his deal at 54 million it gave him an amount of leverage and a voice to be heard in these conversations not only with the Suns but other teams and unlike at the trade deadline the Suns worked with Kevin Durant and his business uh partner Rich Kimman on figuring out his trade home and with the Rockets they found a 23-year-old scoring guard and Jaylen Green a tough gritty 3 and D player in Dylan Brooks and draft compensation that now gives them three first round picks eligible to be traded and eight second round picks eligible to be traded and based on all that clearly the writing was off on the wall for Kevin Durant and he ends up in Houston okay Sean so I got one more question before you go can they make some more moves do they got anything else cooking potentially well the the good thing about this trade is they still are able to keep Jabari Smith Jr Reed Shepard T East and I’m told those three were untouchables in negotiations that the Rockets had with the Suns over the last several months because these conversations have been going on for a while but at the end of the day now for the Rockets you bring in Kevin Durant and you still have a plethora of young players on this roster you have draft assets so yes if they do want to make a move for a bigger name player down the line they could right now their big focus is Fred Vanble he’s got a $44.9 million team option figuring out do you exercise that option or do you come up with a two or threeyear extension for Fred Vanble that is the focus for the Rockets but there’s no doubt they do have flexibility whether it’s this summer or in the next few summers to make another big move shams you’re the man appreciate you brother thanks again all right so Shams told us how it all went down but now we’re going to get into the why it got down and that’s why we got Danny Green here to break it all down so Danny what will KD bring to this Rockets team i mean one of the weaknesses that we saw that they had Perk pointed out in the playoffs is shooting they are not a great shooting thing especially from the perimeter and three-point or mid-range as you can see they’re 22 in the NBA 37% on jumpers in the half court not good this is not a great number so we know what KD brings to the table he is the king of the mid-range and shooting from one shooter to another we can recognize each other so this guy whether you’re a guard or a big he’s a mismatch all over the floor got Kyle Kosma a 69 610 guard on him does not matter that onelegged Dirk Fade give him a shoulder bump which we’ve seen a lot from that SGA a lot this postseason derk fade onelegged fade bucket in the mid-range right here he gets a switch get Jared Allen another big man mismatch it doesn’t matter who’s guarding him he’s too little too a little shoulder bump fade jared Allen over the top mid-range kd automatic this is what he does he brings this to this team obviously they’re going to need some shooting and some defense but in the mid-range area this will bump them up a ton in the shooting differential in the half court set yeah and here are their title odds before the KD trade tied for eighth now second in the NBA behind the OKC Thunder pretty damn good all right so let’s welcome in Brian and Perk back here to the conversation all right so Perk Rockets were second in the West last last season so how much better are they now they’re legit title contenders and if anybody say otherwise they don’t need to speak the game of basketball to be honest with you they could we could talk about you know what happened in Phoenix with Kevin Durant what happened in Phoenix with Kevin Durant and them not being successful from an individual standpoint he was successful averaging just about 27 points officially shooting about 40 50 90 from the field and as Danny just said he addresses the problem for the Houston Rockets meaning giving them a closer up upgrading them at the where they struggled there last season from being a a horrible three-point shooting team and you were able to keep all your pieces you know what this NBA final showed us the most important position in the NBA is the wing position i’ve been saying it but we got an opportunity to see it with our own eyes when you look at N Smith Dors SGA uh Kase Wallace the list goes on that you got to have guys that are going to defend at a high level and be able to make shots and make plays the Rockets have that and Tory Een Aean Thompson Cam Whitmore and even if you want to throw Jabari Smith in there as being a perimeter player at times he could defend one through five and they got Baby Joic and Alfred Shangon who’s a top 10 center in the league yeah I think there’s two things here that made this thing work out for the for Houston first off because KD was really determined to control or have a big say in where he went which meant way back at the trade deadline making it clear he did not want to go to the Warriors and then it was the Warriors who backed out of that it wasn’t the Suns it was the Warriors and then as recently as last week I do think there was some traction for Minnesota to get a deal done kd made it clear I don’t want to go there so with the market narrowing the ask went down the second thing is because the Rockets have so many young players they were willing to move on from that number 10 pick you know getting a lottery pick is hard to do um but because Houston had a lottery pick last year and Reed Shepard who didn’t really get playing time that pick was sort of extraneous the irony is it’s actually the Suns pick it’s a trade that they got from uh from from Brooklyn last year so the fact they were that those two things lined up and look Dylan Brooks and Jaylen Green are are starters and and that pick is a valuable pick they they paid a price but they didn’t pay what they didn’t want to pay and so that got Houston comfortable with this and a key big key is what are they going to sign Kevin Durant to will they be able to get him for something less than two years and $120 million max what will they be able to sign Fred Van Vleet to if they come to new terms with him because they’re now looking at giving themselves a a contention window that could go arrival alongside their their their rivals to the north in Oklahoma City fascinating stuff look they got the deal done before the alone that includes an NBA title regular season MVP finals MVP and a scoring title one of four guys to do that joining Michael Kareem and Shaq and to think it all started on draft night in 2018 rookie season drafted by the Hornets danny Green unbelievable and then obviously on to the Clippers yeah I saw a little bit of that when he was in that Clipper uniform of how good he was and how good he could be there he is he showed signs of it early summer league into the regular season his rookie year and Charlotte giving up a lot of good picks huh in the past yeah Kobe too don’t forget that one so Chay obviously then the trade happens and he’s on to OKC where Chris Paul helped mentor him yeah that was a big pickup for them to help his career i think this organization they’ve obviously done it in the past with guys like Russell uh Kevin and and James um so I think they know what it takes and they know how to do it um and it’s only a matter of time and here is the quote on Chris Paul’s impact huge impact man cp has helped a ton of organizations and players throughout the years cuz he’s one of the best point guards to ever play the game you know just with his decision-m his IQ Shay was able to adopt some of those things and here he goes to the next level Danny you start to see the superstar status where he’s an MVP candidate man that stop and go is something special the way he can accelerate pause then he got the shoulder bump get to the free throw line unguardable just unbelievable fade mid-range king buckets so slithery too inside the paint smooth slithery just buckets after buckets buckets on buckets and this year the year of Shay the MVP during the regular season scoring champ as we mentioned finals MVP and an NBA title of course sealing the deal and Larry O’Brien to go home with it he gets to hang out with Larry and the MVP trophy and hung out with Malikica after winning it all the storybook season is complete clutch buckets from the NBA MVP you’ve got a a season that very few players in NBA history have had shay you’re an NBA champion you’re an NBA Finals MVP when I say that does it even feel real yet how does it make you feel nah not yet um to know that like all the work that I put in has paid off um is an amazing feeling i was never the kid that like wowed you when you walked in the gym i was never the phenom put my heart out on and go to work and try to be the best man I can be for my basketball team and it’s paid off your big three Jaylen Williams and Shake Gildas Alexander and how about Chad that’s a special young group in the history of the NBA no one champion you need the others you need supporting cast you need Robin to a Batman 40 points for Jaylen Williams a masterpiece and this team has been everything you want to compete against the best you want to beat the best on the path to get here tyresese Hallebertton goes down in the first quarter of this game hallebertton falls down he looks hurt what was that moment from your vantage point h I just felt so bad the moment the stage he was he was playing out of his mind at the time it just sucks it’s just unfortunate so unfair to have that taken from him he’s hell of a player he’ll bounce back the sky’s is the limit for that guy sky’s the limit for that team they really get better [Applause] for the first time in 25 years the same player won the regular season MVP the scoring title and now he’s your finals MVP Shay Gilis Alexander we sat down right at the beginning of the series before a second of these NBA finals were played and I asked you what it would mean if you were the MVP the leading scorer and an NBA champion and now you join that company when I say that what do you think i don’t even know it’s hard to believe it’s me like it’s hard to believe that I’ve reached that level of of success in a in a game called basketball that I grew up playing in my yard hard to wrap my head around i’m still trying to wrap my head around all this wow your son your sweet son and Aries he’s a little too young probably to be able to take all of this in in the moment what’s the story you’re going to tell him about this night that he was here for but might not remember in real time i barely slept last night cuz he was screaming in the crib ever since he’s like walked into my life I’ve viewed the world differently i’ve I’ve viewed everything differently yeah without him I wouldn’t be the man I am today i don’t understand that one day inevitably the conversation after someone wins a finals MVP it always turns to that player can lace claim to being the best player in the world are you ready to take that title yeah for sure that’s another goal of mine to stand at the top of the mountain um the way I have this year has been pretty fun it’s definitely one of the things I want to check off my list can you say you’ve checked it off sure why not you know what nothing is impossible for that young man for sure sga averaged 32.7 points this season that’s the most regular season points per game in a title winning season in NBA history they’re passing Michael Jordan who averaged 32.6 points per game but where does this individual season rank all time a great question for Wendy’s Tower of Power is so powerful that sounds like a job for Wendy’s Tower of Power oh that’s interesting i’m palming the ball number five 432 number one i say it in a voice tower of Power tower of Power Starring Brian Wood Horse okay so first off here’s a ground rule for you to qualify for this list you had to have won the championship there’s some great seasons out there but you got to get the gold at the end and shout out to Michael Schwarz who helped me get all these numbers together number five how about Shaquille O’Neal in the year 2000 absolutely dominant 30 points a game 14 rebounds a game in the playoffs he averaged 31 points and 15 rebounds finals MVP and the scoring champion absolutely pretty much the peak of his powers you could not stop Shaq in that three peak this was when he was at his absolute best also the MVP that season let’s put Shay on there you just put some of his stats let’s put it in perspective 68 wins for the for the Thunder this year 32.7 points five rebounds six assists finals MVP first team allNBA won the scoring championship we saw his dominant performance in the postseason uh several times racking up double digit assists in the finals absolutely elite there’s a number of these you could pick for LeBron the one that I’m going to highlight is 2013 his second championship with the Miami Heat this may have been at the peak of his his physical power 66 wins on that team 27 points a game eight rebounds seven assists here’s the big one he obviously won MVP and finals MVP but the big thing was he was second in defensive player of the year that year probably should have won it he’s still not over that number two put it up there as Perk would say you got to look at this Kareem season kareem Abdul Jabbar 1971 back when he was still with the Bucks 32 points a game 16 rebounds a game second team all defense MVP finals MVP and the scoring champion again there’s a bunch of years you could pick for Kareem this year was elite with Oscar Robertson there and number one look Michael Jordan has a lot of seasons you could put here we’re going to go with 1996 where you may have heard the Bulls won 72 games he only averaged 30.4 points [Music] [Music] [Music] get your speech the song Fore speech don’t Fore foreign foreign [Music] foreign speech foreign speech foreign speech there is an out i’m going to go [Music] Set for [Music] my feet miss jumping [Music] let me say that [Music] so that Okay foreign speech foreign speech foreign speech [Music] [Music] foreign speech foreign speech foreign speech fore speech foreign speech foreign speech foreign speech [Music] hi Bench [Music] they got Fore foreign foreign

One season doesn't make you a great team, gotta see how they do the next few seasons to know exactly where they stand as great, but definitely a great season, and congrats on being NBA Champions
Myles Turner?… I don’t know about this one … The lakers need a true center to hold down the interior not a center that wants to shoot threes all the time
malika is horrible! always pandering always horrible…
The Pacers would’ve been a better story for the NBA
Danny Green the man who destroyed Thompson career.
Kd doesn't make his team or teammates better..so no in my opinion the rockets r not title contenders
The fact that I didn’t talk about Caruso is heartbreaking because he definitely was on lockdown
People mad at OKC for cooking in the post season like they was cooking in the regular season. Ty got hurt so what they supposed to do play soft cause Indiana missing a player??? that’s not life people. Their Job is to win someone has

Reffs won they let them play hard defense an called fouls on every team. But let okc get away with the same shit they was calling on other teams
They lost more than 7 games in the playoffs how are they one of the best teams in the history of the nba this analysis means we haven’t had that many great teams in the nba I think every year we are now hearing this is one of the greatest teams in the history of our game it needs to stop
You guys are not telling the truth. Only reason OKC won was because of the injury to Halliburton. Halliburton was about to destroy them before the injury period!
Scott Foster helped okc so much in these finals i dont wanna hear crap about them being one of the best teams to ever play the game 😂
The "they choked" move got em just like it got Reggie 😂😢

Since when does trading away your most talented best player (Jalen Green) after only his 4th season, former No. 3 overall draft pick, for an aging 37 yr old on the decline superstar along with another defensive anchor player (Dillon Brooks) and a first rd pk & 5 2nd rd pks a good trade that makes the team a championship contender??? What fucking world are we living in nowadays to not notice just how stupid this freaking KD trade to my Rockets was! Stupid
They need to come up with a system to banned and report folks who do this what do yall think let's get this going cause the fake news gotta go
