Don't want to trade for Jrue. Would much rather save assets/cap space for the 2026 offseason and take some big swings. Even if the east is weak, we would still have to beat whoever comes out of the west (likely OKC) and I don't think taking on Jrue's big 3-year contract for a slightly better chance in 2025 is worth what we would lose in 2026. Who knows if Jrue would even want to come back after we traded him.

I’m sorry but the fix is easy… Every player that did an achillies had calf strains or similar and played through it. We have enough examples that the teams, players, medical staff and MEDIA need to change. Stop gambling with calf strains! Achillies are career altering. Medical staff need the power to override players protecting them from themselves and the media needs to STOP with the “it’s soft to sit out the playoffs” or “the brave thing to do is play through” or even worse STEPHAN A SMITH loudly stating a player does NOT have an injury and questioning them!

It’s clear that pushing oneself to muster “explosive” speed is too harsh a strain on these critical calf muscles. Halliburton’s defense is built on moving quickly toward the destination of a pass. Strain after strain after strain, then boom – an Achilles tear.
