TRADE UPDATE! Insider CONFIRMS Mitchell Robinson’s FUTURE w/ The Knicks | New York Knicks News

the knicks are preparing to make big decisions during this off season and one of those decisions is if they should trade mitchell robinson but an nba insider recently confirmed mitchell robinson’s future with this knicks team and how new york views him today we’re going to break down all of these latest reports today but before we get started about 54% of you watching this video right now are not subscribed to the channel if you’re enjoying the content please go ahead and hit that subscribe button because it could really support all the great content that we’re creating for you and now let’s get started an nba insider confirms mitchell robinson’s future with this knicks team mitchell robinson has been part of trade reports over the last few days and why this all stems from a report from nba insider frank isola according to frank isola he said the following on the app x one of the reasons muel bridg’s name has surfaced in trade discussions is because he’s up for a contract extension at least according to several team executives then he said the following mitchell robinson is another player being discussed mikuel bridges is one thing but why is mitchell robinson currently being talked about in trade reports well shout out to espn’s bobby marks for giving us this following information and letting us know exactly why robinson’s name has been appearing in trade conversations shout out to espn and sports illustrated for giving us this following information according to them espn’s bobby marks broke down the financial obstacles new york faces this summer highlighting how the knicks have limited cap space and that narrows the pool of viable free agents that they can target regarding mitchell robinson bobby mark stated the following the front office will need to weigh what is more valuable his contract in a trade or his impact on the court now we finally understand the why why mitchell robinson is likely being included in all of these trade reports it’s his contract his injury status and if you add him with another player you can likely get a very good trade package back however just because other teams may want mitchell robinson included in a trade that doesn’t mean that the knicks want to trade mitchell robinson at all shout out to sny’s ian begley and the account nick’s videos on the app x for giving us this following information here according to ian begley he stated the following on mitchell robinson’s future in new york according to him the interesting thing i had heard not on the knicks side but on the players side was that the expectation was they were going to be here this was the read on the situation about a week ago things are fluid but i did find that interesting the thought around mitchell robinson was that we’re here we’re not going anywhere that to me tells you a little bit about what the knicks are thinking regarding mitchell robinson and his future in new york but begley wasn’t done there he provided even more information about robinson and his status with the knicks begley continues here via his putback show and says the following about mitchell robinson but obviously if you’re going to shed salary if you’re going to try to make that kind of a move robinson is the obvious candidate i just don’t know i guess you would be doing that to get under the first apron to have a bigger exception available to you i’m just i’m not sure of that in a real sense how much upside is there just to dumping his salary off but like steve pauper an nba insider with news day said earlier the knicks pulling off a trade that no one thought they could pull off for example the carl anthony towns trade so i’m not going to question the wisdom of the number crunchers and the cba based on these reports it honestly seems like the knicks don’t want to trade mitchell robinson don’t want to move him in any type of deal right now but why is his name coming up in all of these trade reports i can tell you why it’s not that the knicks want to trade mitchell robinson it’s that other teams are likely asking for mitchell robinson in any trades the knicks are discussing right now and that matters that’s important for a number of reasons but for the main one it’s because robinson’s trade value has seemingly skyrocketed if other teams are requesting that he be part of a trade then that tells you how valuable he is not only that it probably tells you that the knicks are likely looking to trade for more size maybe a big wing or a center because why else would other teams want mitchell robinson included in the deal if you’re normally losing a big via trade normally you’re going to ask the team you’re trading with to send you a big back and the bigs they have available that teams would likely want back there’s really one name on that list and it’s mitchell robinson so it’s no surprise to me not only that there are also three main reasons why other teams are probably asking for mitchell robinson to be included in a trade and also why the knicks likely do not want to trade mitchell robinson shout out to sports illustrated for helping to highlight three main reasons why teams would like to trade for mitchell robinson and also why it’s most likely the knicks want to retain mitchell robinson according to them to evaluate whether mitchell robinson fits in the future knicks plans here’s a reminder of what robinson has accomplished thus far in his knicks career according to them he ranks second all time in extra chances created in a single postseason offensive rebounds plus steals minus miss shots minus turnovers that’s how you get that type of record and he has an alltime record in this stat since it was first tracked in 1974 he’s also among 727 players with 30 plus offensive rebounds in playoff history playoff history robinson is number one all time in offensive rebounding percentage 21% and number three in offensive rebounds per game 4.1 that is absolutely ridiculous i only spoke about two of the three reasons and it’s already jaw-dropping mitchell robinson and his impact on any team that he goes to for this knicks team it is off the charts and if you need any evidence of that rewatch the postseason from this year watch mitchell robinson watch what he was doing against opposing teams and the fits he gave opposing teams robinson is for real and the knicks know it but listen to this final reason mitchell robinson has averaged more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds in the playoffs for three straight years a rare feat uh you don’t think three straight years and you get more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds and with this knicks team we’re not the greatest offensive team we miss a lot of shots we take a lot of attempts who’s the best player to have if you’re a team like that i don’t know mitchell robinson because of what he does on the floor and his impact the craziest thing is that robinson’s trade value is probably higher now than it’s ever going to be for the rest of his career but the craziest part is new york is probably not going to trade him look at his impact what he does when he’s healthy for this knicks team i know injury concerns i know when healthy i get it i understand it but i think it’s more likely that the knicks retain mitchell robinson and extend him versus letting him go or trading him for any type of player at least right now i’m not saying a robinson trade is off the table i’m just saying that the knicks are likely not looking to trade robinson at this point the only reason his name is coming up in all these trade reports is because it’s likely teams trying to trade with the knicks are asking for mitchell robinson directly it’s important but also it gives the knicks more power now they know robinson is valuable he holds value around this league at least for this off season so if that’s the case don’t pull the trigger on just any trade make sure it’s the right move the right trade the right deal to make this team even better than we were this year and if that move is on the table i promise you leon rose will make that deal execute that trade and if mitchell robinson needed to be in that deal robinson is gone but the knicks they’re not going to go up to any team and volunteer mitchell robinson and say “hey listen i want to trade him.” that’s not what’s happening right now maybe muel bridges is on the trade block because of his contract extension but mitchell robinson they want to retain him and i can’t blame them especially after the electric playoff performances that he had for the knicks this year mitchell robinson and whether he’s traded or not really depends on the player and the trade package on the table but if i was a betting man i would not bet that mitchell robinson gets moved this off season then mitchell robinson he’s likely staying a part of this knicks team for many many years to come but what about you guys what do you think about ian begley essentially confirming that the knicks are not looking to trade mitchell robinson i quote “i find it interesting that the thought around mitchell robinson was that we’re here and we’re not going anywhere we’re not going anywhere.” i don’t know about you guys but that sounds like to me that mitchell robinson’s future is staying with the knicks but let me know how you feel about that in the comments section below guys because honestly i would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode i hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until next time nick fans take care of yourself your families and each other peace and

  1. If any NBA team wants Mitchell Robinson in a trade. They have to give up their #1 draft pick to the Knicks to get Center Robinson.

  2. I don't like the idea of making trades without a head coach in place. My hope is they hire a coach and consult with him before making anyu trades

  3. I’d love to see Mitch be a lifer in the blue and orange, I don’t care about “selling high” he might miss some time during the year but having a weapon like Mitch for the playoffs is not something you find everyday. KAT for Giannis is the dream, they need to revive their defensive identity

  4. The Knicks gotta move with Mitch due to his health and now that we have boosted his value, being a smart investor — time to get rid of him. Knowing he could get hurt next season and we get nothing for him next season. Remember the goal is to get a chip next season. It’s the best move PERIOD!!! Forget history when we are in the present so I disagree with you homeboy who runs this channel!!!

  5. Dude you are on drugs, no one wants Mitchell Robinson he is slow and outside of playing a Alabama slave in a off Broadway Huckaberry Finn play he is useless

  6. If you trade Mitchell Robinson, you better be getting back an offensive rebounder that can protect the rim.

  7. I like Mitchell Robinson's attitude and he plays hard. I'm glad they're not planning on trading him, although you never know in the N.B.A. Let's get some excellent bench players to help him win.

  8. The Knicks front office is a Fool to Trade Mitch Robinson. He is top 5 best defensive center in league. He is also the longest tenure player on the Knicks & we Drafted him. He needs to be the captain on Defense rather than trade bait
    Come on…. 🌞

  9. Not trading Mitch now will be the dumbest decision we made. Get rid of him when his value is high.

  10. We Are Keeping Big MITCH!! ALL OTHER TEAMS KICK ROCKS!! PRECIOUS IS GONE & ARIEL WE DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD HE CAN BE! NUMBER #1 in Offensive Rebounds.. Also willing to guard shooters on the Perimeter!! You can't Trade that away!! Period!!! In MITCH we Trust!! Work on your Free Throws…His Only weakness & we can't afford to have Towns at the 5 Players Don't respect him!! They will Attack us in the Paint!!
