so could the Portland Trailblazers be trading away Drew Holiday to the Los Angeles Clippers this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Los Angeles Clippers receiving Drew Holiday and the Portland Trailblazers receiving Chris Dunn Bogden Bdonovich Derrick Jones Jr and a 2027 second round draft pick so there actually has been some reporting the last couple days um you know you know afterwards of Drew Holiday getting traded to the Trailblazers about the Trailblazer potentially packaging him up and sending him elsewhere because Drew Holidayiday’s I guess reportedly unhappy with the fact that he was traded to Portland so if the Trailblazers want to go down this route I could definitely see them I could definitely see a team like the Los Angeles Clippers be interested in acquiring them the Clippers are a team that want to compete for a championship now they don’t have a lot of draft capital they have a bit of an older roster as well uh so I think that if you’re able to get Drew Holiday for not you know relatively speaking a gigantic asking price this could be a pretty good move for both uh the Trailblazers because they would be avoiding um an unhappy player and also flipping them for some more assets and then from the Clippers perspective getting a legitimate point guard a very good defensive presence a two-time NBA champion uh to play alongside Kawhi Leonard and James Harden so a bit of a win-win there now breaking down this trade specifically uh the Clippers get a pretty solid player in Drew Holiday an expensive player an older player uh but a player that kind of fits the timeline of this Clippers team tremendously well as I mentioned before I think he’d be a pretty good fit in this back court with James Harden as more of a defensive presence because James Harden of course that isn’t really his style of play so um letting Drew Holiday be more of a defensive presence there and more of a secondary or a third option offensively speaking behind James Harden and Kawawaii this could be a tremendous frit now from Portland’s perspective they’re getting back three pretty solid players like Chris Dunn Bogdan Bdonovich Derrick Jones Jr all veterans at this point all players that can contribute to this Blazers team it makes the team a little bit deeper and plus you’re getting back a second round draft pick and moving off of the recently acquired Drew Holiday and his contract so if I had to pick a winner for this deal I’m going to probably go with the Los Angeles Clippers because this team uh needs a player like this and the asking price for him relatively speaking isn’t that high but from Portland’s perspective it’s not a bad move either but those are just my thoughts leave yours down below
