look it’s one thing for me to sit here as a Suns fan and glaze the Suns performance in the NBA draft last night i’m able to be manipulated by my emotional ties to this team same goes for Sundo so before I wax poetic about Brian Guegoy and Matt Ishbia’s performance take a listen to our friends Tory Jones and Eric Brandt at Blazers Uprise this is what they had to say during the Suns portion of the draft and please keep in mind this is the same Eric Brandt that perfectly called Tammani Kamar’s greatness right when the Suns drafted him well before he would become a trailblazer himself in the same trade that brought the Suns he who shall not be named but first guys hit the like button for me and tell me in the comments what did you think of the Suns front office performance in the first round of the draft i don’t think they should necessarily shy away from the best player on the board in Malawatch if he’s there

yeah yeah yeah because Mark Williams always hurt but what the hell i’ve never seen a team get two players out of position when they’re on the clock for one single pick that’s impressive that’s impressive i love I love modelatch for Phoenix i was talking Gabe into it and now you know Gab’s going to love him now Gab’s going to love him but shout out to the Suns man they get They get Mark Williams they take a chance on him but with his health they get a great insurance plan and maybe somebody who will end up being better and now they are they they’re really set at the center position now malawatch is going to take a little time to develop too so again somebody like Mark Williams makes sense i think Phoenix made out well here that 2029 first is a very weak first trading 29 like it’s a very very late first um the Lakers gave up much more for him they basically just gave up two late first i can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear those two guys talk about the Sun’s front office decisionmaking the way they did there aren’t many people that understand the CBA or know as much about the draft process so their stamps of approval mean everything to me in one fell swoop the Suns went from Nick Richards and Oso to Mark Williams a 23-year-old monster and healthy of course that averaged 15 and 10 last year and then seconds later they drafted the consensus number one center in the draft a player that without shoes stands 7 foot one and 3/4 that’s basically 7 foot2 which means when he does put shoes on and go play basketball he’s 73 plus in case you missed it live when it happened here’s what that moment looked like on our draft live stream mark Williams to the Sun are you serious is that really happening are you guys baiting me it’s done we got Mark Williams

i love Brian Guawei okay okay I’m going to break down both players in separate videos later but I’ll start by saying I’m blown away by the actions of the Sun’s front office size very well might have been the biggest issue in Phoenix and they completely solved that problem in under 60 seconds mark Williams alone would have been like a bottle of ice water after wandering in the desert for days but both he and Malaw that’s like the water and an airlift to the nearest four seasons hotel the absolute only downside to Williams is that he has been injured often early in his career he played 43 out of 82 games in year 1 only 19 in year 2 and 44 in year three but each year he performs better than the last going from scoring 9 points a game as a rookie to 12.7 in his second year up to now 15.3 in his third year and 7.1 rebounds turned into 9.7 rebounds and then this last season he’s up to 10.2 but the best part about Mark Williams is that he is only 23 years old just like Jaylen Green man who knew that the Suns rebuild was going to be this fun it seemed like nothing but a headache and a nightmare a week ago also in my opinion getting Mark Williams did not cost the Suns too much the 29th pick in this year’s draft and a future 2029 first that wasn’t the Suns to begin with i’ll put it to you this way if you think Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neal are worth a first round pick each which Sundo and I do believe me when I tell you that Mark Williams is worth two late firsts now the Malawak pick is just phenomenal phenomenal he’s only 18 years old and he already protects the rim at an elite level he will be a force to be reckoned with in the paint one of his best assets on offense is that he can easily outstretch defenders for lobs chris Paul you know things had just been going so badly for the Suns ever since the Bradley Beal trade it was beginning to feel like Suns fans would never be happy again but here we are boys speaking of Bradley Beal trades check out this video on why I believe he will accept a trade this off season and end up getting moved or check out one of these
