🚨TRADE 🚨Bulls Acquire Isaac Okoro For Lonzo Ball From Cleveland Cavaliers
yo what’s going on everybody welcome into the Bulls Report my name is Patrick Seman and we got some breaking news for you guys as the Chicago Bulls have traded Alonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Isaac Aoro a shocking move that I did not see coming obviously Joe Callie reported on draft night day one that the Bulls were shopping either Lonzo Ball or Kobe White and it looks like Lonzo was the guard to get dealt here so we’ll be breaking down this trade what does this mean for the Chicago Bulls why I think they made this move um you know you’re adding another good young piece a solid defender but where does he fit into the rotation um we’ll also talk about is does this mean a Kobe White trade is now dead we’ll break it all down here on today’s show but before we do so if you guys could hit that subscribe button today we’re actually closing in here on uh 12 and a half thousand subscribers so if you guys have not already hit that subscribe button help us grow this channel here at Chat Sports um free easy way and plus you guys will get Bulls content throughout this whole crazy summer here in the NBA so the Bulls just a straight up trade with the Cavs Lonzo Ball for Isaac Aoro and you know clearly the Bulls are trying to build a roster where mainly the guys around Josh Giddy their role is to defend and you know I’m not saying Lonzo obviously is not a good defender but he’s not the defender he once was and Isaac Aoro that is his calling card that’s why he’s in the NBA he is a solid defend uh defender he’s got good size he’s also 24 years old and he’s also a good athlete so again the Bulls leaning into these players who can get out run in transition with Josh Giddy i mean that’s why they drafted a Senate they want more athletes they want more guys that are going to run here in transition with uh Josh Giddy leading the way now I don’t think Okoro will come in and start unless Kobe White gets traded but even if Kobe does get traded I think IO will slot into that starting lineup but I think this is just another guard for the Bulls to have off the bench another solid defender um I’ll tell you what him and IO coming off the bench that’s a pretty damn good guard tandem especially on the defensive side of the floor now even if they keep Kobe White I wonder if they would possibly move him to the bench and then you slot in Io or Aoro in the starting lineup then you obviously have Josh Giddy being that primary ball handler offensive minded guard with a defensive minded guard right next to him but more on Aoro um you know not a good offensive player um he did shoot the three ball uh three ball well the last couple of seasons um back in 23 24 he was actually playing about 28 minutes a night for the Cavs averaged nine and a half points per game he was shooting 49% from the deck he shot 39.1% from three that season three boards and two assists per game but this past season his role was reduced a little bit with guys like Tai Jerome stepping up for Cleveland he kind of fell down in the rotation but he still was able to average 19.1 minutes per game on a team that won 64 games this past year 6.1 points uh 46.4% from the field and he actually shot 37% from three now the one downside about Aoro is in the postseason he has not played his best ball um he has played a total of or an average of 18 minutes a game only averaged five points per night shooting 29% from uh the three-point arc so obviously his shooting takes a hit in the postseason but I still think this is just a move for the Bulls where they’re trying to get different archetypes around Josh Giddy um this is just like a clear and this offseason is so funny you know we were even debating if the Bulls should bring Josh Giddy back like he will 100% be back he is the face of the Chicago Bulls it’s him and Bzelis those are the two guys they want to build around i think all the moves they have made have made that crystal clear like going and drafting a Senate you could have drafted a big you could got out you know Derek Queen or Thomas Sorber which you know personally I would have rather have the Bulls target one of those guys um especially after the Thunder got Sorber i swear we’re going to look back in a couple years you know he may not play right away but after Hartinstein walks out of there he’ll probably step in and be a very solid big for OKC but again point being you drafted that athletic wing a guy with tremendous upside in Noah Sen and then you also still have Buzzellis another young athletic wing and you know I know we’re all so frustrated with Patrick Williams but that’s another good athletic wing to have off the bench is he worth that $18 million contract absolutely not um that’s still could be considered a negative asset for the Chicago Bulls but you know you’re getting another guard in here next Alonzo Ball i’ll ask you guys i kind of don’t really have two strong opinions about this i think this was just a you know the Bulls trying to get a more defensive-minded young guards next to Josh Giddy and I also think adding another true defender like this probably means a Kobe White trade is dead i’ll talk about that a little more in a second but grade the trade for me um give me an A B C D or F all right so let’s talk about this um in terms of Kobe White now we were getting reports all offseason so far that you know teams are calling on Kobe White and then on draft night Joe Cali said the Bulls were actually calling teams about a potential Kobe White or Lonzo Ball trade i’m going to be stunned if Kobe ends up getting traded i think this move of you know you’re sending off Lonzo Ball you’re getting a defensive minded guard i think this move for the Bulls was so they can play Kobe White and Josh Giddy because now you have two guards that actually complement those two very well aoro IO defensive minded guys good compliments to your offensive-minded guards i would still though if I was in you know running the Bulls I would still field offers for him now I we broke down that one Magic offer that apparently they sent them two first round picks uh Jonathan Isaac Cole Anthony I find that hard to believe and also if the Bulls turn down that trade offer I think that’s a terrible decision but if I were now the Bulls you have a little more leverage to keep Kobe White i would just still field offers if you get something that blows you away maybe you consider it but again the Bulls front office they seem to love Kobe White he has been one of the guys and you know why he’s a fan favorite for Bulls fans he’s been one of the only guys that has really developed over the last couple of years like if you had to say it was probably only Kobe IO and then Boozel this past season but besides that like not a lot of these young Bulls players have developed in the system and fans obviously love the guy he’s a good guy to have but I just if you could get two future first round picks I think you at least have to consider it because also when you trade Kobe White that also might do a benefit to IO Dumu like he could just step into the starting lineup he’ll probably be playing 30 35 minutes a game he’s still a young player he’ll develop probably you know a lot more of his game and also IO I mean he has gotten better every single year like he’s filled out his frame a lot more he’s started to improve that three-point jump shot especially from the corners and the one thing I loved especially the past two seasons with IO he’s great in transition like he’s an athlete he’s one of the fastest players in the NBA and if the Bulls do want to lean into that you know high tempmpo style play with Josh Giddy running it I actually like a guy like Io at that two spot over a guy like Kobe White because then also if you’re rolling out there with Io Buzzelis you know Asen Patrick Williams and you still got Vu there at least you have three defenders who are plus defenders in the NBA next to Josh Giddy and Nicole Vuch still long-term plan for the Bulls who knows um you got to get a guy and I’m sure the Bulls are hoping that Buzzelis Giddy they turn into potential second third options on championship teams but you still got to go get that number one guy a true game changer and maybe the Bulls could be playing the trade or you know acquire one of those guys in a trade in a couple years but I think this the Bulls starting to build a young core Aoro Bzelis Io Giddy that’s probably the four that they’re going to roll with for you know the next four to five seasons and you know I will say it’s a little sad for Lonzo um I am happy that he’s going to the Cleveland Cavaliers he’ll be playing in some meaningful basketball games next season like we’re going to get playoff Lonzo minutes which is going to be awesome but um it’s just I just have a weird feeling like you let the guy rehab work his way back from injury and then you just go trade him the first offseason he is fully healthy so I don’t know and also like you would think for the Bulls like a guy like Lonzo would be the perfect backup point guard for Giddy because Giddy he’s going to push the pace and then Lonzo he’ll come in and just maintain that pace um also Lonzo defensive minded guard too good size on him so I don’t know interesting move for the Bulls i think they just want more defenders around Josh Giddy and Okoro is that don’t love his offensive game but hey he played a decent role for a team that just won 64 games so I think he’s got some winning DNA some winning culture in him um and we’ll see if he can develop into anything i mean still 24 years old and uh I don’t know i think this also may mean Kobe White’s going to be staying on the Bulls and you know I just have a have a feeling the Bulls are going to be right back in that playing tournament next year maybe they view the East as completely wide open and they make another big time trade for somebody else but I don’t know definitely a shocker here to not have Lonzo Ball for Isaac Aoro on my offseason bingo card for the NBA but we appreciate you guys watching today’s edition of the Bulls Report make sure you hit that Grade the trade! A, B, C, D or F
Lol Bulls got played once again the worst team in the NBA
L Trade
Good trade but the issue is they waited to long cause they had a trade for him for the 18th pick in this year draft and they did not bull the trigger
GROSSSSSS
A—-Okoro is a lockdown defender…War Damn Eagle 🦅
My fav player on team on a small contract.. could've gotten way more value at deadline
We definetly trading pwill away now 😂😂😂
Why was ball even on the team? Dudes barely played lol. Pulled the trigger way too late on moving him
Bro ayo shot is still broken and maybe never fixable, ayo can't get his shot off and his only 3 pt shot is an open corner 3
Why trade coby and keep trash p will makes no sense and i belive organization got offers for coby but decide not to take it
The pick they drafted wont be seeing the court anytime soon
B
Okoro cant get his shot off either, relies on defense and transition to get his offense. Hes another ayo dosunmu
I literally was just thinking Lonzo is going to be huge for us if we are going to be any good at all…..then this happens.
All Bulls fans are on Suicide Watch right now. This is depressing!!!
Irrelevant move just a bust who played garbage time for the Cavs on top of playing a position we don’t need and being a bad shooter. The cash consideration for the picks will be more useful than okoro.
WTH is the Bulls Front Office staff doing 😢😮
Coby White is inconsistent shooting turnover prone and a defensive liability. He's garbage
Look why do the bulls need that one guy in a team game. They have several guys here that can get the wins. Everyone says you need a superstar why not 3-4 stars in a team sport
I am not sure why Bulls trying to trade Coby White? it's not this organization has developed any talent over the last few years. You have a 25 year old who is coming to prime. But we want to trade him. We have a need to add Bigs who can run and play defense and keep the guards we have. It looks like this organization is run like WhiteSox as a minor league to develop players for other teams and forever be in a building mode. Sell hope each year for the fans base. Sorry it doesn't work. We have seen Cleveland and Pacers improve from the bottom so why not this proud franchise?
Akme sucks
B
Not a bad trade
Okoro is a career 39 percent 3 point shooter
didn't they get an offer for a first round pick for him before if true wow lol
White not coming off the bench. For that we trade him
So no pat trade talks but Coby trade talks , I’m done with these suburban bulls fans
we won this trade dk why ppl are so attached to lonzo. bro played like 20 games and we dont need a ball handler. WE NEED DEFENSE! Next we need a defender to replace vuc, and if anyone is willing to take on pwill we need to get what we can, dude is buns
They need to trade white regardless . If you’re paying him that means u think that him and giddey will be the backcourt of our future and I simply can’t see it due to both of them being below average defenders. I’ll say give it till trade deadline tho and see how they workout
I love this trade for both teams. London might be the piece that will get Cleveland to the finals. I have e a higher option of Okoro' s overall game than you Pat. With Cavaliers he wasn't asked to score the ball because of their roster. Win for both teams
Would have loved a 1st Round pick for Lonzo Ball.
id trade coby to boston for simons
The thing is he doesn't play guard he plays small forward, he's 6'6 he hasn't played guard in quite some time
Coby White isn't getting traded
I say B-
Sometimes I wonder if this dude even a bulls fan
🤦🏽♂
Tre Jones Tre jones. Tre
Jones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
The Bulls were more high on Collin Murray-Boyles than Queen. There was no interest in Queen, as far as the Bulls were concerned. Lonzo could not stay healthy, unfortunately. The wrist injury kept him out, for the rest of the season. Ironically, Okoro was selected at #5 behind Patrick Williams #4, back in the 2020 NBA Draft. (C)
Trading Coby White would be stupid…. Trade vuevic…. Getting draft picks is bad cause the bulls don't draft well either…. Trade the center and get one….we shoulda kept the one we had that went to the sixers
