MULTIPLE Knicks Free Agent Targets REVEALED…

multiple New York Knicks free agency targets have been revealed by a Knicks insider who went over multiple different guys who fit this team very well for this bench unit while the Knicks continue to build a deeper roster after the NBA draft saw them not go for any current bench players and more for a swing for a home run and we are going to break all this down what’s up guys welcome back to free agency is just days away and a lot of fans rightfully so are a bit worried about why we haven’t hired a head coach yet and it is very likely that over the next three days before free agency begins we will be hiring a head coach it’s very possible or we’re going to enter free agency without a head coach which is definitely going to have a negative impact on the guys who the Knicks can sign absolutely if guys are between two teams it’s going to come down to well are the Knicks far better than this team even though I don’t know who’s going to be coaching me or am I on the fence and I believe I could have a similar year with this other team who at least I know who my coach is going to be i know what the system I’m going to be playing for is in now say it’s a few of these guys who we name if they’re between say the Knicks and pick a bad team the Brooklyn Nets they’re going to sign with the Knicks because they have a chance to win the NBA Finals however if they’re between a team like the Knicks and let’s say a team like the Denver Nuggets who maybe don’t have the exact same odds as the Knicks to win the NBA Finals they do have a coach and they did still make it a game away from knocking off the NBA champions so considering all that it is going to be interesting to see how the Knicks go about this considering the coach situation however multiple free agency targets have been linked to the Knicks is whether they have a coach or not the show is going to go on and the Knicks are going to have to go for players that they can help win the Knicks a championship next year with this bench unit now diving into the first guy is someone who Knicks fans have asked me to talk about i’ve seen these comments a bunch so we are going to go over it you know this man right here a longtime Nick killer as James Edwards revealed that Dennis Schroeder has been one of the better point guards in the NBA over the last few seasons and that was highlighted by his impact in Detroit once he joined the franchise at the deadline schroeder played a big role in the Pistons finishing in the regular season strong and taking the Knicks to six games in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs schroer isn’t a shooter but he can get hot he could set up an offense get paint touches and move the ball he’d also be another scrappy point of attack defender that could also add that New York could also add into the mix now Schroeder last season between 27 teams had 13.1 points per game 2 and a half rebounds and five assists he also got a steal per game he shot 47% on corner threes as well shooting 40% from the field and 34% from three i love Dennis Schroeder i’ve been a huge Dennis Schroeder fan for a very long time i was really excited that I got to put Dennis Schroeder in a Knicks jersey in the thumbnail of this video i’ve been waiting to do this one look I think Dennis Schroeder is such a perfect target for the Knicks he’s not too old he’s a good athlete he’s a great point of attack defender he can run the offense give Jaylen Brunson a real break he can get hot and have a huge impact in big moments he’s not afraid of big moments he’s been on multiple ch playoff teams he’s been a great player i love Dennis Schroeder for the Knicks i think this is a perfect move you get this scrappy guy who’s going to come in and take no prisoners and do what Cameron Payne did except better and be a better defender while at it the Knicks got another good defensive point guard which they could use because Deuce McBride’s looking more and more like a shooting guard every day so you have Dennis Schroeder and Deuce McBride as your backup one and two that is a scrappy duo right there that you could really ride with schroeder is just going to be good for the Knicks energy he’s going to be a good grit hustle guy who’s going to take that New York spirit and embody it perfectly and he spends so much time in his career beating the Knicks up i mean Schroeder in the playoffs was excellent he shot 47% from three cuz he was on a heater as Fast and Furious is outside my window while averaging 12.5 points two rebounds and four assists in the process with a 62.5 true shooting percentage the man was excellent the defense was great i think the Knicks should 100% go for Dennis Schroeder if they can get him now we know the Pistons like him so it could be difficult for them to prime him away they would have to use the full mid-level exception but I’d have no problem using it on a guy like Dennis Schroeder who has been great in Madison Square Garden in his career putting up 14 points five assists two rebounds shooting 41% from the field and 31% from three with excellent defense and a bunch of clutch moments my mom and I always joke about Dennis Schroeder and how he’s absolutely a Nick killer he I know he’s a role player but he would be an excellent role player to bring on to this team who knows how to win knows what it takes and would be excellent for this team when Brunson comes out you have a legit point guard who can run the offense you don’t have to be worried about well we don’t have anyone controlling the offense controlling the tempo able to set people up able to score baskets on his own schroer does all that he solves this problem i want Dennis Schroeder on the Knicks if they can get him on the mid-level exception I would be absolutely thrilled i know the shooting numbers are inconsistent i’m not pretending like they’re not but there’s a reason why Dennis Schroeder is always finding himself on good teams because he’s always been a useful player he got moved around a lot got moved from the Nets to the Warriors got traded for DeAnthony Melton he had a great start with the Nets putting up around 18 points per game then got moved for DeAnthony Melton then away for the Nets to save some money melton was out for the year with an injury but then you continue to move if you look at him then getting traded to the Jazz and then finding his way to the Detroit Pistons where he was excellent and I totally would love to see Dennis Schroeder find his way to the New York Knicks however there are other people for us to discuss as well and we’re going to jump right into that because well there’s another name who I find interesting and that is none other than Gary Harris as Edwards mentions he’s a CIA client harris might end up being a beneficiary of a weak free agency class the 30-year-old guard has been nothing but consistent throughout his career but last season he went through the worst campaign as professional he averaged his fewest minutes per game and points since his rookie year it’s very possible that Harris could be had on a one-year prove it minimum deal due to his decline over the last two seasons at his injury history however given that the pickings are slim in regard to wings that could move the needle and unrestricted free agency he also could get slightly more than the veteran’s minimum deal and on top of that what we also look at with Gary Harris is that Edwards mentions he is a 36.8% three-point shooter for his career and has been a good to great defender for most of his career he’d be a risk for the Knicks with that taxpayer mid-level exception but might end up being one of their better options if he could tap back into the player he was two years ago when he averaged 8.6 points and shot 43% from three harris is last on the list that James Edwards put for guys on the mid-level exception because you could easily seeing it playing next year on a minimum deal which I kind of expect him to harris last year he didn’t he didn’t earn the mid-level exception let’s be real i know there’s not too many wings but still three points per game one rebound 38% from the field 35 and a half% from three not really good enough 37% on corner threes also across the board the numbers were down on Gary Harris now Gary Harris as I said I find this to be more interesting than anything else i’m not anti- Harris by any means i’m not anti-Gary Harris if you can get him on a minimum deal I’ll be happy with that signing because he’s a good veteran to have he’s been on a lot of successful teams he’s been a good defender been a good shooter could find his way to the Knicks where he would actually get a bigger role which could help him a bit or he might be done for he might be cooked but as we know the Orlando Magic understandably declined that $7.5 million team option on Harris and he will hit unrestricted free agent and as Evan Cery mentions he’s a veteran minimum target for multiple contending teams in need of wing depth what is a team looking for a veteran minimum target with multiple or that is a multiple that is a contending team that needs wing depth i could not say that one the New York Knicks and Mr leon Rose right there i perfectly think that if you can get Harris on a minimum deal we should thank Leon Rose and the Knicks for just making a nice move zero risk to it pretty solid reward with a good 3 and D guy as we saw with the draft last night Jay Bis has said the Knicks team needs and he’s right about this was a three and D wing and bench depth the Knicks need both of those things gary Harris theoretically is both of those things we can’t say he is but theoretically he is now obviously the Knicks are not getting any bigname free agents like the Julius Randall down below i just saw Julius and got excited because I’ll always love Julius Randle man he did so much to cause all this from h to start happening but in regards to Gary Harris he’s one of these guys that you know he’s going to sign with a contender because why would he not it’s his best chance to get back into the league and stay in the league for a while longer is to find a role with a contender the Knicks are not the deepest team there’s a real world where he ends up finding his role with the Knicks because of this and I would like that move i would be fine with it in certain situations now Harris averaged 1.4 points and one rebound in the playoffs and shot absolutely atrociously he shot 37% from the field given he was 6 for 1.6 attempts and most of those were threes where he shot 16% on threes the numbers were not good there either but there’s a chance that you could bounce back and I would not mind the Knicks taking this minimum flyer on Harris if he’s trying to get the MLE you have to look in another direction i expect the Knicks will we will talk about some other MLE guys going down this future line as well because since there’s not a ton of free agents it wouldn’t be surprising for this to happen kind of quickly in free agency as Sham Shirani already said this is going to be a fast offseason moves are going to happen very quickly and we saw that that absolutely happened kevin Durant got moved to Houston we saw Desmond Bane get traded to the Magic we’ve seen a bunch of moves already happen so I would expect the Knicks to work kind of quickly here unless they do want to wait until they get a head coach which does make some sense but I don’t think it’s going to be too long before the Knicks do get a head coach now Magic fans were thrilled that Gary Harris was off their team this person saying KCP and Gary Harris are off my team in one summer this other person saying that um OT Gator saying Magic fans know that we don’t have to watch KCP Cole Anthony or Gary Harris or Gary Gary Harris Harris play for our team ever again obviously the stock is low on Gary Harris but I think it’s worth taking a chance on if it’s for the minimum that’s how I feel i imagine some people are going to disagree with me based off his stats who do you want to see the Knicks sign with that mid-level exception deal i’m so open to Dennis Schroeder i love that move i know we have Tyler Kohlick it’s not lost me that we should also look for forwards for wings basically because when the Knicks made the move to draft Muhammad Diara there is a chance that not only is he maybe not going to come over but he’s not going to be ready he’s very raw and that makes us look more towards Pakome Doier and Kevin McCuller Jr who are unproven as well but at the same time I trust the way that that the Knicks draft and develop so we’ll see what happens guys i’m excited to see it let me know who you want to see with that mid-level exception let me know what you
