Is Ace Bailey Skipping Out on the Utah Jazz?
the Jazz were understandably very excited to welcome number five draft pick Ace Bailey to Utah but that still hasn’t happened yet the team’s other firstround pick Walter Clayton Jr flew to Utah on Thursday but Bailey did not and there’s reportedly been minimal contact between him and the team the Jazz are saying that he’s not expected in Utah until this weekend and what he really needs to do is be there by Monday when the team’s training camp for summer league begins so it’s not a crisis but still seems odd right on Thursday night Bayileleyy’s agent had the chance to clear things up regarding his client’s future in Utah but he declined to comment in an interview with ESPN this is just another headscratching move by Bailey who canled his pre-draft workout with the 76ers just a day before it was scheduled and it feels hard to argue that Ace Bailey just doesn’t want to be in Utah and according to Brian Winhor in an appearance on Get Up on Friday morning Utah will not give in to Bailey’s demands so we’ll just have to see how this one plays out but it feels far from over
The Ace Bailey saga continues to get weirder.
Given the chance to clear up Bailey’s future with the Jazz, his agent, Omar Cooper, declined comment in an interview with ESPN’s Jonathan Givony on Thursday night.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst added that the Rutgers star has yet to report to the Jazz, who selected him with the fifth pick in Salt Lake City; Utah’s other first-round draft pick, Florida star Walter Clayton, has.
