so could the Portland Trailblazers be trading away Drew Holiday to the Phoenix Suns this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Phoenix Suns receiving Drew Holiday and the Portland Trailblazers receiving Dylan Brooks Royce O’Neal a 227 first round draft pick either from Utah Cleveland or Minnesota so my immediate thoughts are is that this trade doesn’t make that much sense because one of the main pieces heading back to uh Phoenix in that in that Kevin Durant trade was Dylan Brooks love him or hate him Dylan Brooks is a very valuable player I think for this Sunstein who want to get better I guess in the short term because they don’t have their draft capital long term giving away assets like Dylan Brooks also Royce O’Neal good 3 and D player plus a first round draft pick which by the way the Suns don’t own a lot of those uh in the future it doesn’t make that much sense so I think in a perfect world they trade Bradley Beal get something back for him potentially maybe they’d buy him out whatever the case may be but if you’re able to you know add Drew Holiday in his contract plus you keep Bradley Beal it doesn’t really solve the log jam at the guard position for this team but also two it doesn’t make a ton of sense in my personal opinion so I understand why Portland might want to trade Drew Holiday because there’s been some reports of Drew Holiday not being that happy uh with his trade to Portland and this trade package I think relatively speaking is pretty steep in my opinion for an aging player an expensive player like Drew Holiday because I’m sure if the Suns wanted to they could have acquired him from um Boston in the first place so I’m not 100% sure if this makes a lot of sense from Portland or from Phoenix’s perspective now from Portland’s perspective I absolutely love this deal like if they’re able to flip Drew Holiday for Dylan Brooks Royce O’Neal and a first round draft pick that is an absolute steal in my personal opinion so I think without a doubt the winner of this deal would be the Portland Trailblazers but as always leave your thoughts
