let’s grade the last five Atlanta Hawks first round picks so they the number one overall selection in the 2024 draft they selected Zachary Reach this wasn’t a layup to make but Reach was a very productive rookie he looks like he could be a great 3 and D piece around Trey Young for a long long time i’m actually going to give this pick an A not as nice of a pick here at number 15 in the 2023 draft kobe Buffkin out of Michigan i’m going to give this a D i loved Buffkin coming out of Michigan i thought he could be a very efficient scoring guard that could play the one or the two at the NBA level he was sitting behind Dejonte Murray and Trey Young and injuries have not helped them so far and then a very weird pick here they had the 16th overall selection in the 2022 draft they selected AJ Griffin out of Duke i love this value for them i thought this was going to be the steel of the draft in 2022 but then AJ Griffin retired two years into his career so I feel weird putting a grade on this one but they the 20th overall pick in the 2021 draft they took Jaylen Johnson out of Duke another Blue Devil went here to the Atlanta Hawks this is getting an A he looks like he could be a great co-star to Trey Young for a long long time it’s a shame he missed a lot of time this year due to injury but he’s going to be in Atlanta for the foreseeable future and then lastly they had the sixth overall pick in the 2020 draft they took on Yaka Kungu i’m going to give this a B+ isaac Aoro Killian Hayes went around him so it could have been a lot worse and akong Wu is finally the starter in Atlanta and they’ve really built from within to build this team up around Trey Young going forward let me know what team you’d like to see me do this with

    Go hawks!! Big hawks fan would love it if you made a video on them. Also what do you think of bufkin could he be solid this year? And where is your projection of Atlanta in next years “weak” east.

    Are the hawks not showing signs of being similar to the pacers. Let me explain. There’s the obvious star point guard leading the team but past that I feel like both teams are building mostly through the draft and retaining those guys for years. I mean look at the pacers roster and how long everybody has been there, most guys are 5 years at least. The hawks are starting to look like that. There’s also the occasional trade, hawks for Daniel’s or porzingis, pacers for siakam and nesmith. I think in 2-3 years the hawks have some good potential
