HOW Did The New York Knicks Get Away With ALL OF THIS…
i was actually surprised with how the Knicks approached the draft Instead of moving up for Kobe Brea they moved down a spot acquiring the draft rights from Luca Mitravic And then they then selected Mohamed Diwara with a 51st overall pick out of France who is a good friend of Pakome Daid So that’s going to be interesting Our summer league team looks insane I can’t wait to see Tyler Kolic and Kevin McCuller and Hogport and these guys compete I think we’ve got a great shot at the championship But this is my first look at Diwir Like I know nothing about him All I have is his scattering report and some notes that I came up with but this is my first time actually looking at his highlights as he’s going to cut to the basket and throw it down The first thing you notice is he’s 6’8 Not sure of his wingspan I think it’s like 7 foot three which is crazy But he just looks a lot bigger than everyone else out there And he’s athletic His three balls improving Just a typical end of the second round pick A guy who has a lot of potential but probably a very low floor But it’s exciting I mean that’s a step back three That’s a good looking shot Like I get it highlights and everyone’s going to look good in these mixes That’s a block off of the back where that length is going to play and he’s going to certainly spend time in the Knicks G-League I’m actually not even certain if he’s going to be coming over from France Like I legitimately know nothing about this guy I just wanted to look at him and see what he’s got Really good move running hook impossible to block He’s a wing At the end of the day the Knicks do need more size And if he ends up panning out that is going to be a massive addition to the team because it seems like whoever has the most wings is going to win the championship And the Knicks like are lacking that They don’t have much They’ve got Bridges and they’ve got OG And of course Dadier is in the works of developing But why not just go get a guy with a really high ceiling at the second round you’ve got nothing to lose to that point And his form doesn’t look bad at all It’s a little bit slow but uh let’s see I need to see a little bit more That’s a nice pass to get out in transition Dude when he jumps up he’s literally like on at the rim Like look at this dude He just goes up easily effortlessly Like his game is going to play in the NBA He’s athletic enough He’s a very good defender um in his scouting report So I’m excited about it 20 years old as well It’s extremely young Average 63 and one in 20 minutes across 27 games Let’s read his scouting report So strengths include his ball handling and he was notably used as the primary defender for the opposing team’s primary ball handler while playing for France’s U20 team This is what Diwara said on his game my shooting my defense the way I can play many positions I feel like I’m ready I spoke with Pakome Daddy That’s my friend Weaknesses more regular on my three Working on it I love Jaden McDaniels and Pascal Seakum I mean I feel like it would be just too easy for me to compare him to Pascal Seakum I actually was thinking that originally but I was like I just kind of like I feel everyone’s going to say that But Jade McDaniel I mean if he’s anything close to Jade McDaniels I mean the Knicks got an absolute stud McDaniels he’s won me so much money betting dude But I’m not going to get into that But McDaniels he’s a three andd wing He’s defending the opposing team’s best ball handler Obviously he’s not guarding he’s not going to be guarding like a point guard or anything like that but he’ll go out there on your best wing your best forward and he can also sit in the corner knock down the shots He got better passing and ball handling And of course he just took his game to a different level I’ I’d be excited if he was anything even close to JD McDaniels And a pass called Seakum would be like the best case scenario here I mean Seakum is a borderline all type of player multi-time all-star certainly gave the Knicks a lot of issues because of his size and strength and skill And that’s what I want to see out of this rookie we just drafted in Diwara is I want to see him be aggressive and go to the basket and look for a shot and not be afraid to shoot the three ball He can shoot 20% for all I care in the summer league from three As long as he’s shooting them and getting more and more comfortable each one that’s a huge win for the Knicks I mean it’s it’s hard for me to get excited because this is Knicks Daily Like this isn’t Westchester Knicks Daily So we’re not going to see we might not even see him at all this year If I’m being I don’t even think we will see him But the future matters We can’t just be like “Oh Brunson Cat Bridges OG.” Eventually the Knicks are not going to have those guys or they’re going to be past their prime And these younger guys a Tyler Kick and a Makuller and authority and Duce McBride like these guys are going to be the future of the team So I am excited about it in that sense But let’s move on to the next player we picked up who’s actually undrafted How we want drafted is absolutely beyond me But here is Dink Pate So I’m actually super excited about Ding Pate I know a lot of people are as well He got signed I mean this is an absolute stud out of the G- League Also played in Mexico City Looking at his physical tools 67 with a near 7 foot reach averaged 10 five and two in 34 games last season He was selected to participate in this year’s Next Up event at All-Star Weekend It’s a pretty cool name for an event five-star player coming out of high school opted to sign a two-year deal with the GI Ignite rather than play college basketball He’s also a friend of Carmela Anthony which Knicks fans know very well Let’s take a look at his game though cuz I have never heard of this guy I’ve never seen him play but I know a lot of people are pumped about it So he’s got the ball crossover post fade knock down That’s a tough shot man Especially cuz he was how was he 18 years old I think in this This is a year ago to drive to his left using his opposite hand off the dribble creating separation You could tell he definitely looks raw He’s got a lot of development but he’s so young and that finishing with the left going up and around too And once he gets out in transition you just you’re Oh yeah He all you can do is foul at that point and just hope he doesn’t make it Slick crossover drive Oh out of control Puts it in All right How’s that handle looking okay Not like the tightest handle I’ve ever seen but he is what I say 67 with near Yeah He for a 67 guy that’s actually pretty good now that I think about it Spinning getting to his right He used both hands and he’s finishing through contact which is crazy I like that move Yeah there he created a lot of separation Didn’t barely even touch the rim on literally just straighten that Yeah there we go Same thing And just these fours are not quick enough to be able to keep up with him and he’s going to be too big and strong for the guards that are on him So he’s going to be a mismatch nightmare on switches So another wing that the Knicks went out and got which definitely they needed to do It’s not like the Knicks need any more guards with Duce and Bronson and Kick and and these boys and maybe they’ll bring back like Sham and and Campaign We’ll have to wait and see Strong move right there finishing through contact You see he’s not like begging for a call He’s just playing through it Rising up for three Knocks that one down Don’t have his efficiency numbers on me but that’s a nice move to his left hand He’s just going to be an athletic freak Like there’s no other way around it The Awara I mean they’re not really the same type of players but they’re just high upside guys And for the Knicks it’s really all you can ask for is just can these guys develop into some really good rotation pieces versus just take like the biggest name who might be more ready to play right now but really what’s the ceiling i get it Personally I would have went a different route I still would have signed Peyton don’t get me wrong but in terms of like I would have liked to see the Knicks move up and to get like a Kobe Brea or like a Tyresese Pro I would have preferred the Knicks to do that Obviously guys that are ready to go right now but I get the Knicks thinking is that there’s not much wiggle room in the rotation and they want to develop Dier and Mola and Kak and Hakorti So that even shortens the rotation even more knowing that So those guys probably weren’t going to play anyway So why not just take some guys who have some serious potential that you can develop the ways you want and yeah I’m excited The summer league is going to be once again fun for the Knicks Last season the Knicks had a pretty good team and collect down the stretch had ice in his veins and now we’re going to get to see them back in action in just a couple of weeks We’re approaching the end of June That’s the thing about basketball is you know the Knicks got knocked out like a month ago and then here we are like a couple of weeks away from literally getting back to the summer league and then before we know it we’re going to be in training camp and things like that But that’s pretty much the video Hopefully you guys enjoyed I apologize for getting out a couple of days late That’s my bad Haven’t been feeling that great But guys Nick’s Daily Smash the like button subscribe share it with your buddies Hopefully you enjoyed and I’m out is

I would say we have the most talented young group of players in the league. Knicks staff & coach just needs to play them more & place them in the proper rotation positions.

As long as Tibs is not the coach we can finally see these young guys develop instead of just sitting on the bench
I like that all the guys we have been picking up attack the basket. Dink, Diawara, Naaji, Beauchamp, Kevin McCullar Jr, Hukporti… then we have the passers/shooters Kolek, Dadiet.
Fine, but will any of these guys be developed and see court time in a NYK uniform?
We need defensive role players coming off the bench. Both guys are athletic and can defend and have great potential with us.
LOOK NONE OF US KNOW THESE GUYS COULD MAKE THE VARSITY TEAM WITH THE NEW COACH REMEMBER TIBBS IS NO LONGER IN TOWN
( GO YOUNG KIDS GO )😉
I really feel that leon Rose hita homerun, dink pate and mohammed Diawra have real elite talent, they need a little development and should be ready next year to contribute
We get to see our bench and any new inquiries in the summer league in a few days.👍🏿
He moves like Siakam!
McDaniels DOES sometimes guard PGs.
Great job
It would help if we had a COACH !
Look like another og
That 2nd wing will be ready sooner than the 1st kid. And his shot is money all those jumper were nothing but net. And the english he has on all those tough lay ups off the glass was very impressive. He has a high cieling
