crazy we are going to react to some things um if you missed it i went live before the suns pick and i went live during the trade and i went absolutely bonkers and i’m so excited and i’m still learning how to pronounce his name uh kaman mulach is that how you say it i i said it like five times earlier um but uh still can’t pronounce it now my guy cota kid says “happ happened last stream went to get a drink come back and you was gone.” yeah well i i was only just going live for the reaction i i was live a lot longer than i thought too so you know that’s why you got to tune in from start to finish my old friend but seriously cod kid i appreciate you and all your support man um all rails production says “sup sunsge geek amazing draft so far looking forward to tomorrow.” me too man uh tomorrow could be a lot of fun um you know a lot could happen from now to the start of the draft tomorrow during the draft i don’t think anything’s going to happen in the next few hours i could be wrong but i i doubt it happens and i’m not just talking about the suns either i i think just in general i think i think pretty excuse me i think pretty much stuff is done for tonight to an extent there really wasn’t that much activity i wonder if teams were playing it kind of like safe in this draft and that does make sense i feel like we’ve kind of seen that a lot the past few years that teams just play it safe that they really buy into the promise and hope and potential of a lot of these picks and they save sort of like the major trades for later down the road uh let me take a sip of my water real quick you guys um i got this when i went to the last suns game of the season with my guy gavin from the aussie suns fans podcast and paul from the fanning the flames podcast got got like three of these cheers and uh decided to have a celebratory phoenix suns brew to celebrate the draft love this stuff so thankful to be back in the valley and so thankful to be drinking a phoenix suns brew delicious beer cheers malu lock malu watch malu watch sun’s king says malu watch is a rudy gobear clone clone clone clone if that’s true if he develops and lives up to like his promise and hype of a top 10 pick then the phoenix suns absolutely nailed this draft if we can come back to this comment and to this live show in like two three straight short years from now uh then then the sun’s got an absolute steal um so again you guys if you missed it earlier you guys know me i am a positive optimistic suns fan and a lot of people don’t like that for some reason they don’t like positive suns fans supporting and believing and and cheering for their team uh you know i’m very biased i’m a homer i’m delusional but i will say this we’re reacting in live time i am reacting to this sun’s news on june 25th at 900 pm arizona time and as of right now i am very thankful and very happy with what the phoenix suns did today was fun i feel like i haven’t been able to say that about the phoenix suns in a long time today was fun and and i i just hope that suns fans can kind of share that optimism we have so much to talk about you guys and i will try to get to as many you know questions and comments as i can uh yeah we got so much to talk about you guys okay so real quick i want to start with a tweet here that i saw kind of going around and and it’s true guys like if you missed what happened with the phoenix suns in the last you know week or so uh check this out gerald borgay from phnx says this the phoenix suns started the week with remember they started the week they started the week with kevin durant the number 29 pick a 2029 firstrounder which is by a cleveland minnesota utah got traded like five times and vasa meeich and they ended the week well at least ended the day anyways with jaylen green former number two overall pick by the way dylan brooks the number 10 overall pick and kaman mulach mulach five second round picks and mark williams guys i i don’t i i i love this this is great and it’s like you you could make the argument this is day one of our off season like yeah the off seasonason began when we you know demoted james jones and put him into a season uh senior advisory role and then when we hired brian gregory and when we hired uh when we hired jordan au um like this is the start of our off seasonason and you know obviously trading you know trading kevin durant and everything but you guys get the point like i love this tweet we started the week with kevin durant 29th pick a future first pick and vasameich and we end the day jaylen green dylan brooks kaman mulach the number 10 overall pick five second rounders and mark williams guys i i just i absolutely love it what a great day for the phoenix suns you know obviously you guys know that i oops uh here we go you guys know that i’m kind of like salty and bitter about how negative sun’s twitter can be and not just sun’s twitter just sun’s social media in general but like i don’t i think unless you’re just stubborn or you’re just a negative nelly i don’t know how you can can just look at today and be like “oh i’m not impressed by this the suns did nothing today.” like we we upgraded our center position and we did that in the span of what like less than an hour less than 10 minutes we spent about five minutes selecting our pick at number 10 and then in that same at that same time we traded for mark williams i mean guys come on like what are we doing and before we kind of dive all into this i just want to like read you guys something that that i really truly believe in two tweets from my guy flex from jersey but these these are my exact same thoughts so i’m not just like trying to copy flex from jersey and just i’m not trying to like i’m not trying to say everything that flex says is right even though he’s my guy and he’s going to be on this channel soon but i’m just saying i’ve been talking about this for a while i 100% agree with this so somebody tweeted flex and he’s like “i love the optimism but you know blah blah blah.” he’s pretty much being a negative nelly somebody tweeted him and he goes “you’re missing that it’s june 25th how can you actually say how good or bad the suns will be without knowing what the actual team will be how about we wait for everything to play out this off season before we start talking about playoff seating fair enough then flex tweets this out right here and i love this tweet even more the microwave mentality around here is insane this isn’t all going to make sense slash come together overnight stop asking when and just let them work throughout the off season one day at a time folks the suns organization got much better today in the short and long term enjoy it that’s what i’ve been saying you guys like flex just worded it a lot better than me like like guys we have to let this play out we have to give this team and the suns front office and mattsha time to do their work i’ve been saying that since before the draft come on guys i will drink to that cheers just so many impatient suns fans so many negative nelly suns fans i’m over it anyways um can we celebrate the fact that not only did the suns get a lottery pick but they they got a top 10 pick and i hope i don’t get copyrighted for this uh dunmoose0ero on twitter tweeted this video out um just a little short highlight reel via tik tok and i think it’s worth watching um and uh welcome to the phoenix suns i’m going to pause the music here and let’s let’s kind of watch this together you guys let me just uh click that there we go let’s just watch this forgot to mention he played with cooper flag the number one overall pick in the draft this year i don’t care what the stats say you guys he played with cooper flag and uh so much potential this guy is oozing of potential you guys again check out the reaction show and uh man i’m excited to see this kid play oh my god we have to go back and look at that one highlight you guys look at this look at him and cooper flag i think it’s right here hold on let me get to it wait for it wait for it right yeah right here look at him and cooper flag pretty much blocking the same shot look at this one two three get that out of here they blocked that like at the same time look at that dude that’s so cool i could watch that like a hundred times you guys this is who the sun’s got you guys more on him in a minute but man this is so cool we have to celebrate this you guys like man so much potential for this kid can’t wait um let me see real quick we got some other tweets i want to react to to you guys man what a what a fun day what a fun draft what a great day for the suns and uh okay so also check this out you guys um let’s go right here one of my favorite follows on sun’s twitter tweets this out uh here we go suns are better now again he’s just tweeting this out for right now at the core of the 20252 26 phoenix suns will be jaylen green 23 years old mark williams 23 years old ryan dunn 22 years old kaman malach 18 years old the suns have young talent again for all of you people who are like “the suns need to rebuild and get draft picks and and trade for young talent we finally have it you guys now we can maybe sign some veterans or trade for some veterans this is our young core.” oh and how old is devin booker again 28 i think 29 he’s not even 30 yet correct like come on you guys we have young talent again there’s a photoshop photo a photoshop photo of jaylen green there’s mark williams in a photoshop that’s actually i mean i know nothing about photoshop but that’s actually a decent photoshop right there then there’s ryan dunn and then there’s our rookie kaman mu mulach whose name i still can’t pronounce somebody leave a comment or put in the chat how many times i’ve already butchered his name in my two live shows that i’ve done somebody let me know um man just just what a day you guys so some other stuff i want to get to then i’ll kind of get to like some comments and questions uh for those of you who like follow the draft and all that a lot let me take a sip of my water the uh the hat change or or the draft hats has sort of become a little not controversial but sort of a little bit annoying because a lot of teams are drafting especially when they make trades they’re drafting for whatever team they traded for so in this case the houston rockets were obviously on the phones with the suns and they said “okay who do you want us to select?” so they have to walk up take the draft hat adam silver says “the houston rockets select come on mulach or you know whatever the case is right?” so uh but then during the interview process they get the right hat and there it is joey artig i hope i pronounced his name right says “we got a hat change.” so there he is you guys the suns 10th overall pick in the 2025 nba draft do you guys like that draft hat by the way i’m debating if i want to buy one malu watch says abraham malu watch malu watch still can’t pronounce his name um brian says “our suns had the best draft in years.” well that could be debated i mean last year’s draft was pretty good but i get what you’re saying if you forget not forget if you don’t count last year’s draft um this was our best draft in years so yeah i get what you’re saying um but uh yeah okay anyways more to react to you guys uh so yeah i saw my guy john voida and the bright side of the sun people tweeting this stuff out uh malu watch says he has a relationship with mark williams who the suns who was just traded to the suns both maluatch and williams went to duke so for all of you trolls haters um people who buy into cliche narratives who are like “oh the phoenix spartans the michigan state suns.” i think that can be put to rest now and like i’ve been saying from the beginning uh call me when the suns have like i don’t know one or two players or three players from michigan or michigan state i mean we’re we’re not the michigan state spartan suns or whatever you want to call it um okay speaking of that maybe we can find the clip for this later um malu watch on joining mark williams in phoenix this comes from dwayne rankin from the arizona republic um who says quote “mark has been in the league for a couple of years and i’m going to learn a lot from him i’m going to learn how to navigate and how to get better and what stuff i need to do to be able to play throughout the whole year and get better.” close quote so again it just seems like this kid who hasn’t spent one minute in the nba there’s a photo of him dunking is already ready to learn and i hope that we we we i hope that remains true i hope this kid is like a sponge and just absorbs all the information he can during his rookie year and is willing to learn from everyone on the roster especially mark williams i’ll drink to that and uh yeah i really like i really like what the suns did here today you guys and there’s mark williams as well okay let’s see um few things i wanted to get to too uh az sportzone says “the blueprint is pretty simple you guys all we have to do is trade for giannis now.” could you imagine could you imagine you guys that the suns end up with giannis we would have a loaded stacked giant wingspan team especially if we kept bull but that’s not happening again you guys like i’m happy with what the suns did i really am and i think this tweet is just so perfect and again you guys i was i was dming a friend earlier and i was like many more moves on the way this is like if you think about it besides the kevin durant trade this is day one of the suns off season you know again it technically started with the kd trade but it’s like day day five of the suns off season and it’s not even july yet you guys i think free agency is technically july 1 but like it kind of starts june 30th uh we’re just getting started you guys um shout out to my guy andrew uh appreciate the $149 super chat i appreciate that uh you guys if you do you do you do not have to but if you want to send a super chat or a super thanks uh i would really appreciate it it helps keep the lights on around here and i just really appreciate the sports appreciate you andrew okay you guys um i will take some questions and comments while i look for some other stuff to talk about because it was a fun busy active draft day not just with the suns but and there’s a few other things i want to get to um but while we’re while we’re waiting for that i will kind of take some comments and questions um let’s see here oh yeah and i saw a tweet earlier too uh malu watch is 7 foot2 253 has a wingspan of 7 foot6 and he’s 18 years old and then i think mark williams is the pretty much the same thing or at least coming out of college he was 7 foot2 242 7 foot6 wingspan and he was 20 years old i think at the time he was drafted so uh crazy how that works out crazy um all right let’s see let’s get to some comments here um let me just kind of scroll up real quick make sure i didn’t miss anything oops that didn’t work mary thank you so much for being here i appreciate all of your support it means a lot more than you realize yeah so nick richards let’s talk about this real quick uh and i did see this floating around a little bit um where did that go yeah so nick richard and we and we did kind of talk about this earlier and i guess i didn’t fully process it i think i was just so excited and i was like the suns are going to keep nick richards too which technically could be still possible but evan sedy tweeted this out earlier and again i i don’t know if there’s any truth or sources behind this i don’t really know we we will have to wait and see nick richards is now a strong trade candidate for the suns after the suns drafted kaman mulach and acquiring mark william and and acquiring mark williams richards’s richard’s contract becomes guaranteed on june 29th which could trigger interest from contenders in exchange for second round draft capital so i it’s definitely possible i like nick richards but like maybe the suns were like “hey we’re gonna go a different direction at the center position.” and here we here we are um so i don’t know gambino says “i think the suns will trade the second round picks they don’t need them i think they got seven tomorrow if i’m if i’m not wrong five from the rockets.” so uh just so we are clear on that uh we have two second round picks tomorrow it is pick number 52 i believe and uh pick 59 uh one of those was originally ours there were some pick swaps in there but you know it it ended up ours and then the other one i think came along with the kevin durant trade and i i think i agree um you know and i said this earlier cuz obviously we traded the 29th pick in order to to get where we are now to to get mark williams um it’s not like there’s not talent at pick 29 and i’ll say this the same thing for tomorrow’s picks it’s not like there’s not talent at pick 52 it’s not like there’s not talent at pick 59 because oso igodara was a very late pick wasn’t oso like pick 40 remember when nola joic was picked in the second round wasn’t dylan brooks a second round pick i could go on and on isaiah thomas was the 60th pick i think in what the 2011 draft and he was like a two-time all-star and a great scorer and a former phoenix sun by the way and uh so again it’s not like there’s not talent at picks 52 and 59 but i think i agree i don’t i don’t know if unless the suns are like “hey let’s at least draft somebody with one of these two picks and we can kind of just develop him.” even if we have even if we have to send him to the the valley suns g-league team which that’ll be okay too that’s fine you can always use depth you can always use guys that are developing and and all that but it might be smarter to somehow package them in a in a deal i don’t know who i don’t know who we we would trade for i don’t know who we would end up with but it might be smarter to you know package them and then after that you guys i think we would have three second round picks and maybe a couple future first round pick swaps uh but i i’m fine like i can’t predict the sun’s future but as i read in a tweet earlier we have our young players we have our guys and that doesn’t include i mean i guess it kind of you know it does include it does include ryan dunn no suigiaro and colin gillespie if he sticks around just saying and i love this tweet from brian all i can say a new beginning for our sons looking bright boys exactly okay let me just make sure give me one second here you guys make sure i didn’t miss anything here mary says “so much positivity or sorry let me try that again so much negativity in this world why not be positive love the positivity geek never change that absolutely i’m going to be positive especially about my phoenix suns now all the way in the future um you know i was positive about this team when we were winning 18 games i was positive about this team before devin booker was even drafted by the phoenix suns i just love this basketball team i love the nba i love basketball i’m always going to be positive about the suns um sons king it’s pronounced malo watch i’m sorry please forgive me of my sins against humanity i don’t know how to talk i don’t know how to read what am i even doing on youtube um abraham says “our new gm is setting himself up a good impression so far.” exactly you guys everyone overreacted to the presser you know his introductory press conference which i understand to an extent but i’m like let this guy make some moves first let him make some moves then you can judge the guy i’m so glad that he kind of you know gave the middle finger and kind of like threw a sucker punch back at all the the the critics and haters you know now again it is just day one i’m not trying to sound negative but it is just kind of like day one day five or whatever of brian gregory’s first few moves with the suns gotta give him time but you know it’s looking good so far just saying okay let’s make sure i’m not missing anything here wow uh i’m not going to read that comment okay let’s see let’s see um ivan says “i’m happy with these moves let’s keep adjusting.” exactly a702 writes “he looks humble and ready to play his heart out we need guys like this for the culture.” i’m so glad you said that or for the new culture uh there was a couple tweets i saw about that and like a video and pictures i think let me find it real quick sorry guys it was where’d it go it was like a picture of him and it was like “yeah here we go here’s at least one that i saw.” um there was a couple more but it was like i think somebody said he’s smiling and crying at the same time but then like andrew leis tweets this out right here um it really meant something to kaman malwatch i wanted guys on the team who cared this dude cares can’t wait to see him take court as a son like it’s really like uh it’s really i i i love the way he worded that i wanted guys on the team who cared this dude cares we saw how disastrous last season was where where guy where suns players just didn’t seem like they cared their body language their play on the court their their um the way they would get hyped off the bench you know stuff like that like even even during some like press conferences or or shootarounds like do these guys like even give a crap uh the fact that this guy is smiling and crying in his draft day picture at the same time is is huge and then we heard the quote earlier about him like pretty much going to be a um i mean i’m excited to to put on a phoenix jersey that has my name that has my lo at the back and uh i’m just excited to play for the suns and step on the on the floor um i mean i’m excited to to i am absolutely excited um let’s see suns won the draft says avery 1x uh brian gregory cooked um what happened to bowl says queso dip uh unless i miss something nothing yet but i won’t be surprised if he signs with another team i i think they they tried the bull bowl experiment it just didn’t really work out um you know i i don’t know oh good question from saul here do you think we overpaid for mark williams i don’t think so that’s just my personal opinion because you could make the argument like we we traded okay so i guess i got to rephrase my wording here we received a draft pick with mark williams and we just traded two future picks does that make sense like the 2029th pick was this year’s in this year’s draft and it is what it is so we traded that pick and then we traded the 2029 pick so it’s kind of like yeah we gave them a second future pick whatever but we got a top 10 pick and we got mark williams i don’t think we overpaid for him at all um at least right now anyways um and kind of like i said earlier i don’t think matt ishbia brian gregory the suns front office i don’t think they’re worried about the 2029 nba draft guys that’s a long time from now you know what i mean that is a long time from now the suns are not worried about that um i do not think we we we overpaid um and yeah like i know that there’s the the injury history with mark williams i kind of did mention that before but even if we don’t keep nick richards i i i would be happy with with you know uh with with our rookie coming off the bench and maybe we do something else in free agency or in tomorrow’s draft i don’t know uh and again oso igodaro could play center in some lineup slashmatches uh just saying uh no beer tonight geek yeah just just one just drinking the the good old suns brew don’t know let’s see brian says “been a been a suns fan since ‘ 89.” me as well man um andrew says “we were there during the dark times.” yes real phoenix suns fans were there during the dark times cuz believe it or not you guys there’s some true bandwagon fans i had one guy in my comments and i remember i even screenshotted him he pretty much said he was a bandwagon fan without actually saying he was a bandwagon fan and it was all because he hated the kevin durant trade just there’s always room in the suns fandom we know that since we all had kevin durant because all the kd you know stands joined our team but it’s like we all know who the real suns fans are okay i know i sound bit bitter and salt salty and and petty but like andrew said we were there during the dark times you guys you guys know that for sure that i was i was there i was going to a bunch of games i was covering the suns on youtube during the dark days guys thank you brian i appreciate you gambino i see your free agency comment uh i haven’t gotten that far yet uh yeah i yeah free agency will happen i’ll be live for that and we’ll we’ll talk about it all we’ll see what the suns do um let’s see remember that kevin johnson dunk over akean absolutely one of the the best dunks in nba history i think it was was it kenyan martin i think he was on some podcast i think i saw this clip going around he was on some podcast and he was like i don’t know like what the question was and i’m kind of paraphrasing what he said he was like “man kevin johnson was a guy.” he’s like “if there is a player that this generation doesn’t know,” now again i’m paraphrasing what he said but he was like “if there was a if there’s a guy that this generation of you know young kids doesn’t know it’s kevin johnson.” and he just went on about kevin johnson i’m like “dude like even me i’ve studied sun’s history and all that sometimes i even overlook how great of a player kevin johnson was man.” um maybe during the offseason when it gets slow i’ll like i’ll like do i’ll like do a small segment and talk all about kevin johnson you know um astro army says “i love what we did in the draft but i still wish we would have waited a little longer on the kd trade to get more i get the suns had no leverage but the suns could have gotten more i don’t know if i agree with that i you i i don’t know because what if you would have waited and you would have gotten less what let’s say you waited past the draft there goes a lot of draft picks and we would have had to trade for future draft picks that don’t help us right now i think the phoenix suns were trying to focus on the now not later and i don’t know if i agree with the suns had no leverage i don’t think i agree with that at all um i’m not saying you’re completely wrong i’m just saying i disagree with you to an extent and you can disagree with me too that’s fine i just i don’t think that’s necessarily true i can hear my dogs barking they’re celebrating the draft okay let’s see um keith says “i played a pickup game with larry nance senior.” that’s awesome man um brian says “i played a game with i played one-on-one with kj when i was a ball boy.” that’s cool man um let’s see uh let’s make sure i didn’t miss anything here abraham says “we were ranked 27th in rim protection last season.” pretty sure it’s safe to say we will definitely change that number for good i’m really glad glad you said that abraham um man last season you guys it it was ju just go watch some highlights whether the suns win the game or not go watch some suns highlights from last year and just watch how many times the opposing team would just drive in the lane and score like it was nothing you know what i mean like it was it was so frustrating you guys and that’s why i’m like i’m so happy with what the suns did like we will actually put pressure on the rim these guys mark williams and uh i can’t say the i keep forgetting his name they will put defense when you drive in they will block shots and if somehow we keep nick richards which i don’t think will happen like they will all even oso gdara will put pressure on the rim okay like i’m just saying i i totally agree with that um let’s see we definitely need to keep bull and have a twin tower show out there that would be pretty cool man let’s see mark williams is not worth two first round picks the suns lack assets so give so much away again you guys i i don’t agree with this at all um so first off i know mark williams has the injury history but he’s still extremely young and put up great numbers last season when he played he’s a shot blocker rim runner defensive presence and you could make the argument that he still is a draft pick like he is he was drafted in 2022 he is still like a draft pick so if anything we got two picks and we traded two picks oh and then you throw in the kd trade we have as of right now five second round picks and then whatever future pick swaps we have i don’t really agree with that at all um let’s see yep and i love this from mr ortiz as long as we’re in the playoffs every year the draft picks we lost won’t matter amen can i get an amen i will drink to that cheers as long as we’re in the playoffs every year from here going forward the draft picks we lost won’t matter exactly exactly um let’s see uh just so you guys know we did not get liam mcneely just letting you guys know uh and sham shirania tweeted that uh he you know he is going to charlotte um i think it was charlotte yeah he i think he’s going to charlotte with that pick uh but just letting you guys know like we were drafting for charlotte just to make that clear uh just so you guys know okay let’s see um you know what i’m going to be nice i’m going to put the the chat suns fans because gavin was visiting america um and it was fanning the flames like justin and paul were there and we uh and we ran into keith and he joined us and we we drank a couple beers and we ate good food and we went to the uh is that desert ridge forgot what it was called they just opened it but it was really good and we had a good time so much fun that day and uh thank you again for the the suns logo like send 68 and then phoenix phoenix suns i like this beanie it’s got the arizona flag uh on it right there too and then the nba logo on the back unfortunately probably not going to wear it much but i still love it glad i kept it and then um again not my favorites i just grabbed like whatever i could find but i really like this one it’s got the og suns logo on it and then another og suns logo right there mitchell nest got the green what do you call that brim yeah i just i think that’s cool and then uh i don’t know why i’ve always been a fan of this hat i call this like the watermelon kind of one black sun’s hat green right there pink then you got i wish that was green to be honest it’s got a gray brim that’s probably my only gripe with it it’s pink and green and black and then you know but it’s a cool hat like i love i can wear this with so many different things that i own i love this hat and then i know this is random but uh where all my power ranger fans at got my power rangers hat right here baby you got the big you got the original five right there power rangers logo and then i like this another power rangers logo right there i love this hat i don’t wear this hat too much but i love it it’s a great hat it’s a great hat and it’s all it’s pretty much all black too so that’s cool and then my friend tim shout out to my guy tim he hated this when i bought it because he was with me when i bought it for all you dax fans out there i got this hat i don’t care what anybody says i love this hat so much i think it’s so cool uh yeah i just i i i adore this hat man i think it’s so cool this was like a what my friend brian calls impulse it was an impulse buy but i do not care this hat was i’m so glad i got this hat all right guys um let’s see like i said in son you know i guess i guess that’s what i’m trying i spent way too long on trying to to get at he’s no longer a phoenix son i don’t know if his money is going to be on our salary cap if it is that sucks but it’s probably not that much um but cody martin cody martin is actually one of those players that in my personal opinion actually looked like he gave a crap out there actually played hard actually like you know showed some potential um he’s on a cheap deal too he could definitely come back um i don’t know where that tweet went man like did they like delete the tweet that’s weird but it doesn’t matter you guys he no longer plays for the phoenix suns it is what it is um we we’ll see what happens but he was a part of the mark williams trade originally came over in the use of nerkage trade and yeah so we can we can react to this real quick because this is pretty important um huh okay it’s interesting let’s see wow there’s a lot going on you guys um okay let’s react to this let’s see hold on whoa there’s a lot going on okay this is probably the more important thing and we’ll just react to it right now it’s a 2 minute and 23 second clip of suns gm brian gregory reacting to the draft dwayne rankin shared this on his twitter um he said they were not able to bring in kaman malawatch late in the pre-draft process as they received the 10th pick pick from the rockets on sunday that does make sense you guys this is probably extremely unlikely they were able to get him in he said however gregory said scouts told him they saw the duke 7footer play quote over eight times this season so remember that’s sun scouts that said it so here’s suns gm brian gregory and we’re going to react to what he said in this two minute and 23 second clip let’s hear from suns gm brian gregory part about him uh two-part or one were you able to bring him in as far as a a a pre-draft workout because you know you get the pick and then it’s maybe a a sped up process to try to get guys in to see that you could potentially draft that 10 and then and then two just his ability in terms of of of lob threat um wasn’t a lot of that this past year with the suns how much do you feel like that can be an intricral part of what he’s able to do well first yeah obviously um he did not come in for a draft workout um at the same time you know i i applaud our our scouting group you know last year uh at this time we completely revamped our professional and amateur scouting system and the entire group that we had um and really charged them with the with the opportunity and the challenge to you know kind of build a whole new system for us in in that and they did a great job um you know saw common play i think the the group told me today over eight times live during the year um and was able to be at practices and so forth and and obviously the connections throughout college basketball um you know really helped us in terms of gaining all the information that we needed heading into tonight on him um when it comes to the offensive game and the lob threats obviously that that’s a big part of the nba game now being able to put pressure on the rim offensively how do you do that you do that by paint touches off of drives and cuts and then you do that by being able to throw the ball to various guys at the rim he is tremendous in that he’s a great onball screener r uh rolls extremely well has great hands can catch the ball which is really really really important so he is going to be a threat for us at the rim uh offensive rebounding again the possession game so critical in today’s nba um and and we you know to be honest with you we just weren’t very good at it and um he adds to us immediately puts pressure on the rim in a lot of different ways on the offensive end so that was suns general manager brian gregory talking about the draft and mark williams um and then one more thing actually a couple more things i want to get to um the suns must have a really good relationship with the charlotte hornets and their gm i think it’s jeff peterson is their gm the guy in the picture right here says the suns and hornets have made three separate trades together already in 2025 nick richards for josh kogi in two seconds ysef nerkage salary dump and the mark williams trade charlotte continues to capitalize on phoenix’s draft assets they must have a really good relationship at least like from a business standpoint um and i’m okay with this charlotte gets more assets more draft picks more young talent to surround around to surround around around uh lamelo ball and brandon miller and etc and we get we get charlotte’s charlotte’s bench and mark williams and i i i’m i’m happy with this i like that i just thought that that was worth reacting to um okay so two more things
