On the surface, I don’t like this pick even a little bit. Ace Bailey was clearly the third pick as far as talent goes and a much better fit for the 76ers until he or his camp started their childish bullshit demands. I would’ve not acquiesced and drafted Bailey instead anyway. I can’t see us resigning Quentin Grimes now, who is a good, established player because there will be a log jam at guard just to “validate” this pick so the 76ers will probably let Grimes walk instead of resigning him. I hope I’m wrong about VJ. I was also wrong about the Eagles drafting Brandon Graham instead of Earl Thomas. Look how that turned out. I’m glad we picked BG.
