as one of the biggest question marks of the draft truly started at number three where the Sixers took Baylor guard BJ Edge he joins a Philly squad that was really dealt with injuries all season long to Joel Embiid Paul George Tyrese Maxi and Jared McCain who was actually at the draft i don’t know if you guys got this rocking Poc uh nails team president Daryl Mory spoke last night some of these teams playing dynamic uh uptempo with multiple guards that put the defense in jeopardy and you know we do have to have our we do have to have our man guy in the middle uh I I felt for the players and coach Nurse specifically last year trying to put a a defense on the floor with with Joelle out and uh you know obviously Drummond was hurt uh so we didn’t you know Bona stepped up late which was exciting uh but it’s very hard to if you have like a bunch of dynamic guards it’s hard to make it all work if you don’t have a you know a big in there who’s making things hard on the other team
perk you’ve been big on this franchise now belonging the keys to the car tyrese Maxi that’s who it belongs to not Joel Embiid for a long time the Sixers have made a lot of noise but it’s interesting right now they’re pretty quiet do you like it

so they started last season with three Max players that’s Maxi Paul George Joel Embiid in that time since they’ve added three quality guards jared McCain who was looking like a rookie of the year candidate before he got hurt quinton Grimes which is a very good mid-season pickup he really helped them they got to get him resigned and now BJ Edge that is a roster that in theory should compete for the Eastern Conference the problem is the in theory part and we’re just at the point where we just can’t give the benefit of the doubt to the Sixers we just have to wait and see and that’s all there is to it

well I would say the off seasonason everybody loves their roster and everybody thinks everybody’s healthy and then when we get to October and if Joel Embiid can’t go and the likelihood is he probably will then we reassess them right now but for right now I’m not ready to anoint Philadelphia because they got BJ Edgecom and they’ve got the big three back hypothetically healthy right now they’re going to have to come out and prove it i think the one concern for me is what are they going to do with some front court depth because I think there’s a chance they’re going to lose Gershon Yabiscelli to free agency if they sign Quinton Grimes here are the odds in the Eastern Conference and I know it’s a big if it’s probably the biggest if in the NBA but as you look at them look at the Cavs with the shortest the Bucks with the longest perk please indulge me because you like me cuz I’m your sister from another mister if they are healthy where are the Sixers
they should be top two to be honest with you i mean we’re talking about Joel and B we never question his talent we’ll never do that he’s one of the most talented bigs to ever played in the game of basketball it’s all about his health tyrese Maxi we know what he’s bringing to the table and I think he got his first real test last year of being that 1A option without Joel Embiid on the floor right so he went through the struggle right everyone has to go through it and then Paul George like what are you going to do that’s another thing like we hear you again we hear you singing Sweet Nothings on your podcast like you got to show up and play
