so could the Boston Celtics be trading away Jaylen Brown to the Houston Rockets this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeaway uh fadeawayorld.net Uh the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Jabari Smith Jr Cam Whitmore a 2027 first round pick a 2028 first round pick and a 2030 first round pick And the Houston Rockets receiving Jaylen Brown So even with the Drew Holiday trade and the Kristoff Sportzing trade taking place a couple days ago there actually still has been a lot of buzz regarding the futures of Jaylen Brown and even Derrick White for that matter um in Boston for next season Now the teams are calling about Jaylen Brown and there actually is a legitimate chance that he is dealt Now is it going to be this quickly to the Rockets i don’t know But I think truthfully speaking this does make a lot of sense for the Rockets if they want to go all in for the 202526 season and go for a championship now especially with the addition of Kevin Durant um you know last week I think if they’re able to add Jaylen Brown to the mix and they kind of go for it next year This makes perfect sense in my opinion Now from Boston’s perspective I actually do like this trade quite a bit especially if next year their idea is to sort of punt on the season wait till he comes back healthy rebuild around him have some more financial flexibility If they’re able to get two first round draft picks and two really talented young players that were not in the Kevin Durant trade in Jabari Smith Jr and Cam Whitmore this would be an amazing move Now you know who be who’d be very happy with this move bill Simmons Bill Simmons loves Cam Whitmore I think he loves Jabari Smith Jr I think he’d be all over this trade and that’s from a diehard Celtics fan So I’m a little curious which direction the Celtics could be going Uh their roster right now doesn’t look great I know they just acquired Anthony Simons They could be flipping him Uh but could Jaylen Brown andor Derek White command this much on the trade market i really think he very well could especially too with Eddoka’s relationship with Jaylen Brown dating back to their time in Boston This could be a seamless transition So in my personal opinion a bit of a win-win trade for both teams If I had to pick a winner though I’m going to probably go with the Boston Celtics because this is pretty awesome package to get back in return And these two players have super bright futures But those are just my thoughts Leave yours down below
