so could the Utah Jazz be trading away Jon Collins to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeaway world.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see Los Angeles Lakers receiving Walker Kesler and John Collins and the Utah Jazz receiving Ruie Hatchima Daltton Connect Maxi Cleba and a 2031 first round draft pick So in my personal opinion if Lakers want to go ahead and address the starting center position I think Walker Kesler of the Utah Jazz is a perfect candidate uh the Utah Jazz have reportedly been I guess fielding calls on lots of their players This includes Walker Kesler John Collins Lori Markin um Colin Sexon etc And this team’s open for business They had a tremendous first round of the NBA draft in my opinion Uh getting Ace Bailey where they got him is an absolute steal And if they’re able to flip Walker Kesler and John Collins into three young assets in the form of Rui Hatchimura Dalton Connect and that potential 203 or 2031 first round draft pick which by the way 6 years down the road without LeBron potentially that could maybe be maybe even be a lottery pick So I sort of like this deal for both teams It kind of gives the Utah Jazz a bit of a different look You throw more darts to the dart bar with that draft pick in 2031 I think players like Rui Himmer and Daltton connect with a change of scenery and maybe more of an increased role could actually blossom Uh Maxi Kleba is more or less in there to make the money work But uh yeah from the Lakers perspective too I love this deal John Collins is a very athletic player He can throw him at the four or at the three He could provide some good minutes in this scenario probably coming off the bench Walker Kesler being a number one option uh in their starting center position is an upgrade over what they currently have and having this lineup next year for example of uh Luca Donic um Dalton K or I guess Luca Donuch Austin Reeves maybe you throw someone like LeBron in there at the three uh John Collins Walker Kesler that’s a really really good starting five in my personal opinion So the asking price is probably as good as it gets But if you’re the Los Angeles Lakers and able to acquire that very coveted starting center and John Collins who could even be a starting player on this roster as well that’s a win in my book So the winner of this deal to me is the Los Angeles Lakers But as always leave your thoughts
