Wizards stocking up on players. Another guy picked up from OKC. If nothing else solidify that 2nd unit and get ready for the transfer of veteran contracts ending. As a Wizards fan you have to be pretty excited about the possibilities. Who will begin to emerge? Let's go.
All I want is a roster full of players who keep that same energy they had as rookies.
Great video. Great point on him raising the floor for the team day to day with his competitiveness. Love how Dawkins is putting pressure on our current guys with this draft class – almost like he’s putting guys like Bilal on notice if they don’t improve on the things they need to build on. Feels like it was part of Dawkins strategy going wings heavy in the draft to establish how they want key guys (minus Sarr) to earn minutes going forward. What you think of Watkins’ NBA comp? Feel like Iman Shumpert isn’t too far off. I know he’s being tabbed as a wing – but watching his highlights (which gives me pro scout level credibility of course) does he not give lead guard vibes? His path forward looks more like the #2 PG in DC as opposed to #2 SG/SF.
He sounds a lot like Jordan Goodwin.
