he’s He’s your best player available just got rid of season um yeah that’s that’s that’s a good pick for him and after fears like now it gets now it’s going to be interesting right because yes Malawatchi Derek Queen Carter Bryan like who I don’t love but I see why right he has the size and tangibles he has he has he looks like a pro um so this is where I’m excited about now because the the guys that we thought were the guys are off the board randolph what do you make of this fears uh fears as a player he was young he reclassified he turned 18 in October he’s two months older than Cooper Flag he bet on himself it worked he was one of the most productive guys in the SEC but he was not efficient at all turn the ball over too much the the passing reads aren’t quite there um you know shot 44% at the rim under 30% from three what do you make of him as a long-term prospect here in the NBA
Rob but all the intangibles there what he has that you can’t teach is extra gear i I there’s not many guys as fast as he is with the ball in his hands and when you see it on the floor you you see it sometimes again he is moving faster than his mind is processing things and he gets himself in trouble but when he’s dialed in again you you see the upside you see what he can be become with the ball in his hands he can go 94 feet as quick as anyone in basketball so that’s the one thing that’s going to jump off from day one he’s going to learn how to play he’s going to have to get physically stronger he’ll be in a situation there again there i I think the the Pelicans are headed for a reset eventually here and and I think he’s found himself in a really good situation henson you agree
yeah I agree i mean I I don’t all I can think about is like when I think about him he’s got some blank to him like I like he’s got he’s got a little he’s got a little bit of that in him you know

when you watch him Rob he’s one of those guys he doesn’t have to make a ton of moves and shake i heard somebody made the comp that that he was Kyrie he doesn’t have to do that because with the balls in his hand he just goes he gets to point A to point B he doesn’t need to spend a whole lot of time fakes his game is just boringly good because he has that type of speed uh the shooting will come his mechanics are fine the game will slow down for him as he gets more reps in the league uh I I think he’s he’s gone to a really good situation this is an upside pick and his upside’s really high good size brother has helped him out tremendously this guy’s came out of nowhere like you said bet on himself and and everyone sees the potential of what this kid brings can I give you a RC this tell me if I’m off on this one or not but I heard this from another NBA guy uh Jeff Teague
jeff Teague with Jeremiah Fierce do you like it or not i like it because he’s bigger uh Jeff had really good speed i think he’s probably a little faster with the ball in his hand than Jeff was but I I like the comp i do i think he that is Will will he improve his jump shot all of those things that just depends on the kid the individual how bad you want it now we’re going to learn a lot about him uh but everything that you’ve seen and saw you know you seen about him you’re going to love i think that’s a really good comp i’m not big on a lot of some of the comps get crazy i actually love that i think that’s a really good pick yeah we have guys that are getting picked like 12th getting compared to Michael Jordan saying “Oh he’s gonna be a combination of Anthony Davis and Kevin Garnett.” I will say uh Kendrick Perkins the other day said that um Cooper Flags comparison was if Kevin Garnett and LeBron James had a baby and like I actually thought that that kind of made like it’s a weird comp but it kind of it made made some sense to me like there it’s not it’s not the craziest thing uh that I’ve ever heard also do you think Jeremiah Fears is gonna be as funny on the podcast that he eventually has as Jeff Teague is on the f what is it club 520 he’s great

fierce’s father might be fierce’s father is a riot he he’s terrific um I I like the Fierce pick i mean again I think at this point um you know you’re you’re you’re taking a guy with upside you’re taking a guy with upside and ultimately it’s going to take some time he could play some honestly wouldn’t shock me if he if if he spends some time in the G-League next year um just to get reps against guys that aren’t physically going to over I mean look at him on TV he’s like 170 pounds soaking wet he is going to have a hard time physically with the league next year but by the time his second contract rolls around he’s going to be a really really good player
