Breaking Down The New Look Utah Jazz Team w/ Ace Bailey & Walter Clayton! 2025 NBA Draft
the Utah Jazz had three first round picks tonight and they’re definitely shooting for the moon with the upside as their first pick at number five overall they ended the slide and they got Ace Bailey now the interesting part about this is it’s very clear Ace Bailey did not want to land with Utah he declined an invite to work out with them grantite he didn’t work out with anyone but he preferred to land with with the Wizards Pelicans or Nets but Danny A and Austin A didn’t really care they see the potential and the upside in Ace Bailey and for a team like the Utah Jazz who has had a ton and a plethora of first round picks that really haven’t panned out into any blue chip prospects on their team they want to take the swing with Ace Bailey as yes there’s obviously some concerns and maybe it doesn’t work out but if everything clicks for Ace Bailey in the body type and the skill and talent that he possesses this could be a 25 point per game score and then you can finally have your franchise building block that Utah has been looking for since they traded Rudy Gobear and since they traded Donovan Mitchell that core and then they’re also going to get Walter Clayton they’re going to make a trade up to acquire him so anytime you see a trade up that just means they were worried that a team maybe a Miami in front of them would take him in front and they don’t want to risk him they like him that much so they’re going to take the national champion Florida Gator and Walter Clayton it’s going to be interesting to see how this game translates to the NBA but Ace Bailey Walter Clayton and then at number 21 they’re taking Will Riley a riser out of Illinois so they’re going to get that as a draft hall so like I said the Ace Bailey thing sure he might have not wanted to be there initially but he doesn’t have a choice at this point and I like that Utah didn’t let that prevent them from drafting him so they take him they see the upside because the Jazz are definitely in need of a star player instead of trading for one they’re trying to develop one from within i think Will Hardy is a really good coach i think the Jazz are a really well-ran organization they just haven’t been able to hit on any top-of-the-line prospects and have luck with the lottery so since they didn’t have the lottery luck break their way and land Cooper flag they had the number five overall pick they’re going to shoot for the guy with the highest ceiling than Ace Bailey and then also add a guy like Walter Clayton Jr
