so Johnny Jonathan John Horst has just resigned his second player and after we talked about how Bobby 3 years 44 million was an absolute bargain with Naz Reed getting paid more than twice as him with guys like Sam Hower making about the same money as him even Sam Marilyn making a little little less i feel like John Horse off seasonason has been off to a great start i like the Bogle Jube pick i liked uh Mark Sears as a pickup and undrafted free agency a lot and now we’re bringing back Cavin Porter Jr Cavy Py June Bug whatever you want to call him and two years 11 million another swindle i’m John Horse biggest hater but Johnny thank you you are delivering me something a little bit nice so far and this is something I mentioned in the Bobby Portoris video hopefully we bring Kevin Porter Jr back because as I mentioned we’re going to be missing dang near like 30 points per game off of our stat sheet this year and there’s going to be somebody that’s going to eat that up and it’s not even necessarily like we need somebody to put up numbers to like help us win a championship right now or anything like that it’s partially yes giving Kevin Porter Jr on this money uh I’m not I’m not sure that he couldn’t help us win a championship at at some point there are some people on Bucks Twitter that are like super anti- him like not even just as a person like they just feel like get this dude off my team even like the Bucks chat I felt like or my chat on YouTube I felt like during the playoffs there was a lot of hate for him um based off how he was playing but I felt like that was actually even a little bit overstated um and he came I think it was the last game where he actually played very well and so I’m not sure if he’s like a player on a championship team i think he could be but this is something I mentioned this with Dame being gone the last five games of the season he averaged I think 20 and like five and five he could average something like 176 and six or 20 i don’t know if he’ll you know have those numbers for like an entire season 25 and five but could he have some inflated numbers absolutely and so I think that he could be a part of a winning team he could be a winning player we saw real defense from him at points we saw some really good passing setups to Giannis but even if he isn’t like your guy that you think is a championship piece I’m still like you know I could go either way on that on that he’s definitely a guy that I should expect is going to be able to perform pretty well this season and now this is why I’ve been saying do not trade Koozma this off season because right now we don’t have any assets to attach with him that are like we could part with to make a Koozma trade work because he’s just so bad but this is this Bobby Portoris’ contract these are both options of guys that might be a part of a second run with Giannis they might be a guys that you know continue to be on the team and help provide what we need to get back to a contending level with Giannis but they also are just guys that should be tradable contracts um that you could part with at the trade deadline or next off season that you could pair with Kyle Kosma to actually get off of him in a reasonable deal that doesn’t see you throwing away your last first round pick for not for scraps in return so I think that this is great this is a guy that um hopefully will be able to perform how he was per performing at the end of last season and will fill a little bit of that Dame gap um and continue having good chemistry with Giannis and a guy that maybe the Bucks can keep long term moving forward we’ll see if he has a good year he’s not going to come back on his player option it’s a player option for year two um but worse comes to worse if John Horse is like h he’s got big numbers i’m not going to be able to afford him in the offseason you could par with them at the deadline and maybe that helps you move off of the abomination that is it that is Kyle Kosma and so I feel like yeah this is should be just an off seasonason of bringing back young guys maybe Gary Tread Jr as well bring back guys that could be assets on solid teamfriendly deals that a have a chance to be a part of a future contending team moving forward um in the next window hopefully that could happen with Giannis and if they’re not that guys that uh are just team friendly deals that could be moved to help create a second window with Giannis um whether that will be a Bobby Portoris and Kyle Koosma trade whether that will eventually be Kevin Porter Jr and Kyle Koosma trade maybe they resign Gary then he gets move I don’t know but this allows you flexibility and at really it’s a one-year deal for like 5 million 6 million um if it is two years 11 million either way that’s no risk and there’s huge reward that could happen if you look at just his numbers with the Bucks last year and if you look at his numbers without Dame oh my goodness is this a steal and lastly I will say me saying “Oh just look at the numbers.” I would have thought that before the Bucks picked up Kevin Porter Jr okay numbers but like this dude’s not a winning dude like no if you watch the Bucks at the end of last season you saw this dude playing a huge role in helping the Bucks win games whether it was that huge comeback against the Timberwolves i believe it was a game against the Rockets that the Bucks eat squeaked out that he played really well there were a few games where he was probably the biggest reason aside from Giannis that the Bucks were winning and so this is a huge deal this is a huge W for the Bucks you know I’m not hoping for the Bucks to make any huge trade you know may maybe right now you have Conton on expiring we saw the Hornets able to trade Yousef Nerkage who’s on a bigger deal and get a pick back with it so um if you could make something like that happen with Conetan uh take a little bit worse contract and get some picks or get a pick that’s something that would be perfect but other than that I’m not looking to like move off of assets right now to make like a move for like a Cam Johnson because right now we don’t have a second option that’s bonafideed um and healthy we don’t even have like a for sure third option that’s certified and healthy um but so while we’re doing that we should be trying to uh just resign team friendly deals that can help us create
