Chicago Bulls Sign 2 Players During Day 1 of 2025 NBA Free Agency. Chicago Bulls News

day one of the NBA free agency period has begun and the Chicago Bulls were very active as they resigned two of their own to stay with the Chicago Bulls for the next couple of seasons i’m excited to break them both down and obviously I’m not Phil phil Phil’s off right now and I’m filling in for him as this is an exciting time for NBA basketball and the Chicago Bulls bring back Trey Jones on a three-year contract and it gave Emanuel Miller a two-way contract a solid debt piece the Bulls brought in last season but before I get to today’s show hit that like button to help congratulate Trey Jones on his three-year 20 threeear$24 million contract along with that too comment congrats in the comment section below to wish a congratulation to both the new guys and please subscribe to the channel to stay up to date on all Chicago Bulls news and notifications let’s get into it guys trey Jones comes to the Chicago Bulls back to the Chicago Bulls on a three-year $24 million contract the point guard was projected to get a three-year $30 million contract according to various NBA insiders but the Bulls got him on a hometown discount and bring him back for the next three seasons the point guard that the Bulls got in a trade earlier this year with the San Antonio Spurs has worked out very well for them huge off the bench averaging double-digit points and being a great ball distributor as well he brings solid defense for only being 6’1 185 pounds a solid veteran that the Bulls bring back but along with that too he’s only 25 years old so really excited about this resigning a lot of Bulls fans wanted it and it was confirmed earlier today quote “Free agent guard Trey Jones has agreed to a three-year $24 million deal to return to the Chicago Bulls.” Sources tell ESPN Banberry of Lift Sports Management finalized the new deal with the Bulls officials tonight fantastic value like I was saying he was projected to get a threeyear $30 million contract according to various NBA insiders and the Bulls got him for three years$ 24 million solid value for a guy that’s solid off the bench and could potentially fill in as a starter when needed depending on injury which I hope doesn’t happen but the Bulls add key depth to their roster and that’s what you need to win championships and now the Bulls have their backup point guard he really turned it on when he came to the Chicago Bulls this past season at midway through the year which his stats skyrocketed and I loved what I saw in Billy Donovan’s offense out of him he made things exciting he got the job done he was able to spread the floor with his deep range ability and that is why the Bulls are bringing him back let’s get a little bit more into Trey Jones if you don’t know who he is he’s from Apple Valley Minnesota so he understands the Midwest and knows what the Bulls mean to this area of the world he attended Duke which he was drafted in the second round 41st overall in 2020 out of Duke he’s only 25 years old and he is a point guard so the Bulls have him for the next three seasons he’ll be 28 after his deal is done but coming out of Duke after only two years in college pretty solid numbers his second year 35.4 minutes for the Blue Devils back in 2020 with along with 16.2 points per game 6.4 assists per game 4.2 total rebounds per game and 1.8 eight steals like I was talking about really solid defender that is big for this Bulls team he can bring a lot to the table and use his magic in order to get things done solid player on both sides of the court even only being 6’1 185 pounds he shows that he has the ability to be coached well and he’s worked well in Billy Donovan system from the stats that he put up during his half season with the Bulls and making it into the playoff playin let’s say the least so 2024 stats with the Chicago Bulls off the bench he played for 25.3 minutes so good amount of playing time for him average 11 and a half points per game so that was twice as much as he had with the Spurs at the beginning of the season so the Bulls got a good value out of him 4.9 assists per game so he distributing the rock pretty well for a guy that played just a little bit more than half the game 3.2 total rebounds and 1.1 steals per game with the Chicago Bulls so the defense is there solid player overall gets the job done and I really am happy what the Bulls brought in you need depth in order to get things done remember when CJ Watson was leading the bench mob for the Bulls at the point guard position trey Jones could be the next type of player from that position i love what he brings the energy the swagger he already works really well with Kobe White as well and he’s a good ball distributor which is big for this Bulls offense hopefully he can do what he did last season for the next three years for the Bulls and the Bulls get an even better value again he was supposed to get a $10 million per year contract as a bench player which is just crazy to say but the Bulls got him for 8 million per season he comes back to the Windy City and he’s hoping to get things done at the UC moving forward so excited that this deal got done he’s a really solid player good agility good ball work and good teammate can’t wait to see him back on the court welcome back Trey Jones and again want to hear some uh congrats in the comments section below from you guys let’s get into the second player that the Bulls brought back today though they brought back Emanuel Miller a solid dep for the Chicago Bulls they resigned the G-League star to a twoway contract he played for the Dallas Mavericks last year which then he was brought to the Chicago Bulls he’s been in and out of the Windy City Bowls the G-League team here in Chicago and he put up some pretty solid stats overall to say the least during that time but this was reported again today the Chicago Bulls have extended a qualifying offer to two-way player Emanuel Miller a league source told Hoops Hype “Miller averaged 17.2 points per game 7 and a half rebounds 2.2 assist 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks in the G-League for the Texas Legends and the Windy City Bowls.” So he played for the Mavericks G-League team and then obviously Chicago’s G-League team a ton of potential from the former TCU star very good player overall to say the least he brings a good size at 67 220 lbs so he’s a bully down in the paint which helps him out a lot along with that too he’s a rebounding machine but he can score 17 and a half points per game is no joke and I understand it’s the G- League but a lot of these guys could get up called up to the NBA at any time it’s definitely a higher level than college he’s still playing against them and putting up pretty respectful numbers to say the least i like what I’ve seen out of him from his scouting report and especially what he did at TCU just a few years ago but the Bulls brought him back in order to be a two-way player so his G-League stats he had 27.2 minutes per game so played most of the game but still put up 17.2 points per game as a forward 1.1 blocks 7 and a half rebounds and 1.2 assists per game very good overall signing here for the Chicago Bulls he brings a good value he’s young he has played in big games before but he has been a G-League dominator so he’s down ready to go to the next stat and he’d be a good depth piece for this Bulls team pretty decent size at 67 to say the least i think that he’s a bully down in the paint plays with a lot of energy and also what he did at TCU definitely makes it attractive for him to come to this Bulls team so his last year at TCU before he went got called up to the NBA 32.6 minutes per game 15.8 points per game half a block so his blocking ability has skyrocketed during his time in the NBA in the G-League 6.1 total rebounds per game and 1.1 steals per game so he’s a good defender overall which is what the Bulls are obviously looking for and you need that in today’s day and age especially down low in the paint and I can’t wait to see what he’s got he’s likely going to be a summer league roster player for the Bulls so we’ll see what ends up happening this upcoming season i like what the Bulls did with him though they got him for a good value and we’ll see how he fights for that final roster spot for the 2025 2026 Chicago Bulls likely a G-League player but you need those in order just in case someone gets hurt but with that thank you as always for tuning into this episode of Just Another Your Chicago Bulls if you guys haven’t already please like this video subscribe to the channel to stay
