so could the Boston Celtics be trading away Anthony Simons to the Los Angeles Clippers this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a tweet on X from AP Hoops which says “Anthony Simons is a name to that has been linked to the Los Angeles Clippers per Brett Seagull NBA.” Quote “Another team worth mentioning regarding Simons is the Celtics or if the Celtics were to relocate him again is the Los Angeles Clippers Simons is a player LA has been linked to previously in trade rumors Now there actually has been some speculation um about what the Celtics could be doing with Anthony Simons this off season Do they keep them do they flip them for some more assets i’ve seen sort of both sides of this um over social media Now in my personal opinion I think the Celtics probably do stand pat Now they could risk losing out on some other players this off season but if they want to clear some more cap space and if they want to bring back some of their other players then yeah I definitely do agree that an Anthony Simon trade could make some sense in that capacity Uh but he’s only heading into his last year only making I believe 20ome million bucks So it’s not the worst contract and worst case if it doesn’t perform well this year you can let him go Uh but if there is a market for him which I’m sure uh Brad Stevens is gauging what the interest would be um in regards to the trade market with the Los Angeles Clippers then yeah you have to explore every case scenario Perhaps there could be a trade that would involve players like Bogdanovic maybe a Derrick Jones Jr something of that nature I could definitely see happening and being intriguing from the Celtics perspective But Anthony Simons is a player that actually would provide some pretty good offense in the meantime uh for this Celtics roster Especially with this team looking very different from last year and with Tatum being injured they have to score the ball And if they want to remain competitive next year make the playoffs etc I think it’s probably in their best interest to keep Simons But as I mentioned before um if the package would involve like a Bdonovich and a Derrick Jones Jr they probably consider it at the very least So what do you guys think an Anthony Simons Los Angeles Clippers trade looks like if it were to happen leave your thoughts
