Hornets Sign Mason Plumlee To A 1-Year, $3.6M Deal

mason Plumbley is heading back to the Charlotte Hornets if you guys did not know Mason Plumbley is my soon tobe fiance’s favorite basketball player and Mason Plumbley for a team that has Ryan Kulk Brener Musa Diabate Dean Saloon is really their only frontcourt depth bringing in Mason Plumbley is perfect for them to have him as their starting center and to go from there this is a team that is clearly trying to rebuild its culture bringing a lot of high character hardworking guys into this organization and if you wanted to know what Mason Plumbley stats were this past season Mason Plumbley was a guy this past year in just about under 18 minutes a night average four and a half points and six rebounds a night but if you remember that season was Charlotte where he was their starting center for 56 games he averaged 12.2 two points a night which was a careerhigh a career high 9.7 rebounds and almost four assists a game with like a block and a steal a night and what is Mason Plumbley at this point of his career he I he’s actually a lot more athletic than you would think he’s also a guy who is like 250 lbs almost 7 foot tall he’s a great presence under the rim he’s a hard-nosed defender he’s got a selfless style of play he’s got great court vision for a big man he runs the floor still well at the age of what I guess he’s technically now 35 damn he’ll be turn just turned 35 and he still has a decent jumper and to me for what they’ve been able to do he’s been able to manage to carve out a long career as a guy who plays championship style basketball even though he’s bounced around team by team and I think if you look at the the current situation here in Charlotte and look at their team I think this is an organization that Charlotte with LaMelo Ball Brandon Miller Conanibble Miles Bridges and more than likely Mason Plumbley being the starting center then Musa Debate Ryan Kulkrunner Tan Saloon being the backups Grant Williams probably being your small ball five we still have Miles Bridges Josh Aogi Liam McNeely Cion James Dacoin Jeff Nick Smith Josh Green Colin Saxon KJ Simpson Vassie Misich and LaMelo Ball and it seems like maybe they might bring back Ectage Gibson maybe not um this is an organization that if you were trying to figure out what they were trying to do I think they’ve started to realize that hey they like what they’re they’ve been able to to put together here in terms of a lot of high character guys bringing in an organization that a lot of selfless players who don’t need the ball in their hands that are going to really help hopefully maximize the LaMelo Ball Brandon Miller duo that it’s not that they I mean hey It’s not that they’ve underachieved and last year when they had defense before all the injuries occurred they actually looked like a team that was starting to put something together and obviously we knew the injuries occurred but what do you guys think about this and if you guys agree with me do you think this is an organization that is building the right blocks to hopefully have a team that can win in the near future sooner rather than later let me hear your thoughts

  1. He was actually pretty decent during his first go round with the Hornets. Great passer, good rebounder, lousy free throw shooter. Will be a great mentor for Kalkbrenner. Better signing him to a one year cheap deal than overpaying on underachieving leftovers. Looks like a final decision between guaranteeing Okogi or re-signing Tre Mann. Hope they bring Mann back.
