Utah Jazz Introduce 2025 Draft Class
summer league practice begins Monday the Utah Jazz 2025 draft class has reported for duty john Tanj Walt Clayton Jr and Ace Bailey have arrived in Utah and were introduced to the media on Sunday ace Bailey will wear number 19 with Utah Jazz it was a chance for Bailey to address the narrative around his pre-draft process and rumors that he not only didn’t want to play for the Jazz but wasn’t going to report to Utah for summer league look clearly that is not the case he arrived Saturday with a big smile on his face and he’s excited to be a member of the Utah Jazz and get to work just blessed to be in this position I am not a lot of people can sit in these chairs and have great teammates as I got on they came on with me so I’m just blessed to be here i got great energy i mean I can do everything from rebounding from defense to scoring to passing so I can say I could break it a lot in different ways walt Clayton Jr will wear number 13 the Jazz wanted him so bad they moved up three spots to get him and you can see why the first team all-American made tough shots and clutch shots leading the Florida Gator to the national championship he was named the most outstanding player of the Final Four he’s 22 years old he’s older than seven of his new teammates oh yeah for sure um just understanding what come with winning you know uh all the things that go on on the court and off the court just uh just happy to get here you know build some chemistry with these guys and uh put the work in
um I’m going to be honest I think we got a lot of great talent here obviously a lot of great young talent i think uh once we mesh well we’ll be able to put some uh wins in that column john Ton is even older the second team all-American is 24 years old once a Colorado State Ram he took his game to another level last season at Wisconsin a season that ended with a loss to BYU in the NCA tournament round of 32 in Denver a game of course where Ryan Smith and the A family were in attendance uh yeah I asked him a couple questions last night about BYU uh I hate I hate that I had to lose to him but you know it’s it’s all up now all good now most experts are giving Austin Ang’s first draft as the Utah Jazz president of basketball operations an Agrade he said after that draft that he got the three guys he really wanted he also made it clear what skills he values in NBA prospects we’re so pumped this was a dream scenario for us these are guys we targeted before the draft with high potential high character and we we couldn’t be more excited our our goal as an organization is to just get players that love the game that love to work and obviously have the talent to go with that um we think all three of these guys uh are are just add to that list of our other players on our roster putting the ball in the hole is a big part of the game for sure but um no we’re these guys can play on both ends um right for sure
