The Houston Rockets Just FINESSED THE NBA…

the Houston Rockets have signed Dorin Finny Smith to a four-year $53 million deal he’s coming off of a season where he shot a career-high 41% from three and held all-star players to 47% effective shooting in the half court which ranked top 10 among players to defend 125 plus shots last season so not only are you getting an elite shooter but you’re getting an elite perimeter defender this is a massive move for the Rockets who recently signed Jabari Smith to an extension 5-year 122 million that’s what like 20 million annually seems like a steal for Jabari who’s very young as well coming off a year where he averaged 127 and one in his third season with the franchise steven Adams got extended emu Udoka got extended fred Vanit got his contract restructured he’s making now 25 million annually it was reported that if the Rockets let him go there was multiple other teams in the Eastern Conference that were monitoring that so Houston essentially I’m not going to call them a super team cuz that’s just stupid there’s no such thing as really super teams nowadays since the Warriors but they’re elite they’re absolutely loaded with depth with star power they’ve got probably the best coach in Udoka in basketball i’d put him right there next to Eric Spolstra at least in my opinion rafael Stone has gotten super aggressive he trades Jaylen Green who the team didn’t even want the 10th pick who knows what that player is even going to become even if they kept it he’s not helping them win right now reed Shepard a couple of or not even last season Reed Shepard was a top four pick and he didn’t really give the Rockets that much but they’re able to keep him they’re able to keep Shenun and keep him men so they have their entire young core to build around and then they put Dylan Brooks who they did like a lot but it’s Kevin Durant you get a guy who hasn’t averaged under 25 since he was like 20 years old like it’s just crazy to think how good this Rockets team is i wasn’t sure that Houston was going to be able to put together a team as good as when they had James Harden and Chris Paul and PJ and Arza and Capella but they have this is the best Rockets team that Houston has had since I’ve been watching them since I’ve even been alive and I’m super excited about it as well because the Western Conference although OKC is going to be tough to beat Houston was the two seed they were playing the Thunder well without Kevin Durant and without Dorian Finny Smith they were beating them and now they go out there of course and they add in these key pieces they’re going to get another leap from their young players as time goes on the Rockets are only going to get better and better and nobody needs to be playing ISO nobody needs the ball in their hands to be effective shenun can play without the ball he’s a great passer high IQ steven Adams we know he brings with his ability to rebound the offensive glass and set screens kevin Durant can give you 25 a night without even dribbling the basketball like he’s that good and then certainly of course you’ve got Amen Thompson who I’m excited about he’s the logo of this channel building of course just the brand around him i mean he’s going to be in my opinion again I say my opinion because I don’t expect everyone to agree with me but I think Amen Thompson is a future maybe even a top 10 player like I think he’s got that type of upside he’s already arguably the best defender in the NBA just in general yet alone his development offensively what that’s going to bring and I’m just looking at the highlights you guys aren’t going to be seeing this but he knocks down that game-winning runner against the Celtics on the road we saw Thompson get more and more comfortable as the season progressed and I’m excited about him but DFS is a huge huge upgrade laker fans are livid that Rob Pelinka let him go for absolutely nothing i don’t think many people are going to understand how difficult it is to find a 40% three-point shooter that’s a wing that can also defend all-star type of players like it’s very very rare and the Rockets just go out and get one in free agency and that’s also the beauty of the current Kevin Durant deal is he is expiring you could say that’s bad because he’s about to get a two-year extension but it’s also good because if KD was on a max 5-year deal you’re not going out there and getting DFS but because KD again is probably only going to play like two more years or maybe three more years probably of his basketball career the Rockets they’re going to have that money on the books to be able to go get a free agent so I’m excited about this as a Rocket fan I can’t wait to see the upcoming season i thought Houston was really one piece away even including with Jaylen Green of winning a championship but they’re able to move off of Green to get KD and now they get DFS and they’re not even done but the biggest thing as well was just being able to extend the big three of Jabari Adams and Ema Udoko like nobody really knew if that was going to be able to happen or when it would happen but that got done you also retain your free agents in Van Bleet you bring back Jeff Green Uncle Jeff who’s been here since what 20 it’s pretty crazy jon Tate’s been here for a while and then of course Aaron Holidayiday the brother of Drew and I don’t remember the other Holiday there’s Drew and who else who’s the other one i don’t even remember justin right justin Holiday that’s actually crazy to have all three of the brothers like your sons in the NBA that’s just a huge flex but this was an A+ off season for the Rockets there’s just no debating it i’d even go as far as saying that the Rockets have had the best offseason in basketball i mean you don’t just be able to bring back your entire core and then get Kevin Durant like it’s pretty crazy to think and the summer league is going to be a lot of fun for Houston as well because they actually made history by going of course and getting Hzel Emanuel who is certainly an expiring story be interesting oh it says false rocket rumors boy I thought he was on Houston that’s Oh man I’m B i legitimately thought that was a real report that’s pretty stupid i would have loved to see him compete in the summer league man i mean the dude literally is playing one arm he’s an absolute stud but even without that I mean we’re talking about a massive offseason by Stone i wasn’t sure if he’s going to be able to get it done but he proved me wrong when he gets KD which was a risky play because not only do you have a soon to be 37 KD but you’ve got to get him extended and you add him in to your already current young core that was the two seed it’s an aggressive move but it felt like it almost had to be done and again I can’t stress this enough i’m ready to see this team play and it’s going to be here before we know it the summer league’s in a couple of weeks and then I have to live after that it’s going to be training camp and then we’re going to be talking about the regular season basketball goes by fast that’s why I love it i will be making videos for you guys talking about the rest of free agency for the Rockets they have to do much they’ve got their team that’s ready to go now it’s just a matter of competing in the rotation and giving out minutes distributing them things like that but this team is absolutely loaded we haven’t even talked about Kim Whitmore who might be moved or Tar ye a lot of good physical talented 3 and D wings on this team so many to the point where there’s going to be a man that is left out and it probably is going to be Cam Whitmore i wouldn’t be shocked if the Rockets trade him but I also wouldn’t be shocked if they keep him because at the end of the day injuries happen things go south and you want to have that next man that can step up and contribute
