So Brendan tells us during the commercial break that just bringing up Ben Simmons and that there are people that want him back lit up the text line. Ben Simmons was numero uno a few years ago when it came to the buzz name buzzword topic. All you had to do was turn on the mic, have some sort of Ben Simmons topic, and for four hours we could talk about him. It was after any game he played well, the Ben Simmons supporters were loud, and any game where he passed up a shot, the Ben Simmons detractors were louder. It was it was amazing times with Ben Simmons. and me just bringing up the insane people that want him back for whatever reason. It’s caused the uh the text line to stir. What do we got, Gunnar? No name on this one. Actually, Joe from Berlin from an old text. He says, “I would completely stop following the Sixers if they brought back Bum Simmons. He’s my most hated Philly athlete and an abomination to every athlete who has ever played here with any heart whatsoever.” I would not not watch like I I wouldn’t go that far and and boycott the Sixers, but I get why people feel a certain type of way. Uh Julian on on Twitter chimes it or on YouTube, excuse me. Ben Simmons is is a disgrace to this town. He should not be talked in the same breath as Philadelphia. But then there are other people that would love to see Ben Simmons back. I I mean I don’t understand why you want him back unless it’s just the story of it.
Yeah. Or he got amnesia and last year just kind of wiped the hard drive because it was so bad. Like I I don’t know. You you got to have a memory of what that was when he was in this city. It was miserable at points.

right? Because remember, this is still Joel Embiid’s team. Even though people may not want that, it is still Joel Embiid’s team. The offense will still go through Joel Embiid. It’s going to be the combo game of Tyrese Maxi and Joel Embiid. What those two guys need because Joel Embiid is at the top of the key setting those screens for Tyrese Maxi or getting the ball at at the elbow and the high block, right? You need guys that can shoot. That’s it. Yeah. Ben Simmons does not do that. Now, if people are pining for Ben Simmons to come here to be a 15minute guy off the bench, okay, but is it worth that for 15 minutes? No, it’s absolutely not. It It’s not. The dude turned his back on not just the city, but remember other guys in this locker room, right? They probably feel some type of way about this individual, especially the way he handled the exit from the city. So, no, I don’t think that’s a good idea.
Okay. I don’t know how many other ways we can explain this.

What? What? Like, this is this is what I’m talking about. Like, there are people that I think have reached a level of insanity with this basketball team because they have beat us up so much. I love them to death. They don’t necessarily love me back. And uh now all of a sudden we want Ben Simmons. As K uh Chris Kip says on Twitter, the people wanting Ben back are the same people that go back to the old boyfriend or girlfriend that cheated on them. Yeah. She hot. All right. My god.
