Are the Hawks Becoming Sneaky Contenders in the East?

Are the Hawks Becoming Sneaky Contenders in the East?

this is the most excited i’ve been about them i really like the nucleus atlanta’s $25 million trade exception i think is fascinating because in in some ways that’s the best spot for um i don’t know what like whether you could that be like a demar de rosen spot if sacramento just wants to get off his deal in general and i know people have talked about it all week i think atlanta’s in unbelievable shape with the roster they have and the assets they have to put you know they’re not at they’re not at where houston is from a close to win the title standpoint but it’s a little similar in that i just like a lot of their pieces and they have flexibility and they don’t have to you know they have some extension stuff coming they’re have to pay trey in a year they’re going to have to pay dyson but for right now they actually have the flexibility to do a couple more things and i think they should i think i think the east is as we’ve talked about many times is sitting there to make a move and that’s a team that i think i’m really interested to see what they do over the next 10 days we’re gonna find out once and for all about trey young

  1. Probably 4 or 5 seed, with CLE/ORL/NY clearly above them, and DET I can’t tell if they’ll be above or below ATL. With the Beasley news too I’ll guess ATL 4 seed

  2. Unless your Steph Curry in 2015 or 2022 or Detroit Pistons Isiah Thomas, if your best player is 6’3 or under, it’s all but a guarantee that your team is not gonna win a championship. Especially if your best players name is Trae Young, the arguable goat of empty calorie numbers.

  3. I gotta see it. Lol don’t buy young as the best player for a winner best thing to happen to the hawks recently was a Ben Simmons collapse. Young needs a player better than himself.

  4. Seeing that the East will be pretty open next season Atlanta has a chance to strike during this window. I dunno if they’ll actually go all in tho…. and I dunno if Young can take them there. The opportunity is there tho.

  5. Bills great but ATROCIOUS take. Trae is not a championship PG. Teams will exploit his size and they will never sniff the finals. Mark my words.

  6. They surrounded Trae with big wings, two centers, and they have a professional sixth man in LaVert who can swing the 2 or 3 spot, plus the 25 million trade exception to add a major player to the rotation.

  7. 2 years ago Bill was stoked on the Hornets, and was his favorite team to watch. Yea, not much since

  8. Nah straight up! They have talent and depth this time around. The pieces compliment trae as well. If hes still inefficient this season, than i think we should give up our hope of him being a superstar in this league. The length around him provides defensive cover and hes got plenty of offensive help. The main thing is here, as usual, is how healthy will KP be.

  9. They saw every other star getting injured in the playoffs and said “this is it, it’s our time now” and finally made plays.

  10. Package a first round pick and two second pick and another player for Jrue

Let Jrue come off the bench

Go all in for this year

    Trae, Jrue, Dyson, Johnson Kristpas
Zach, Big O, Levert off the bench

  11. Last year Trae seemed to be focused on passing first instead of scoring first and I hope he continues to get others involved this year. With Jalen Johnson healthy the Hawks have a chance. I saw the Hawks competing for the 4-5 seed last year before Jalen got hurt. Jalen is the key and he’s a beast

  12. They made a horrible trade in acquiring Dejounte Murray, but the Pelicans saved them.

Then the Pelicans blessed them by trading up this year.
