If they signed BB to a min deal they probably did it before they announced the trade. I'd be pissed if I were BB when the front office knew they were going to have cap space open up.
Half of my Nuggets hopes got real, but I doubt they'll try to trade Murray even though he's as spotty as MPJ. Seeing the bench getting better is also nice.
Lmao the comments actually think Cam better? MPJ is waaaaaay better off the dribble. And been more versatile offensively his ENTIRE career. Oh n them heavily contested shots MPJ be making, yeah Cam doesn’t make those. If this trade happened last offseason, the Clippers would’ve beat the Nuggets first round
Good trade nuggets, it's about time they saw what I saw last 2 yrs that Kevin Porter Jr make no impact for them winning especially playoffs and getting off that big contract. Getting cam Johnson return was great
I don't know if I'm getting too excited about this, but this is SUCH a killer deal for my nuggets. Absolute WORST case scenario, Cam is in the same tier as MPJ as a player. But he saves us 17 million a year (14.6 or something like that including Bruce). best case scenario, Cam Johnson was able to average 19 points on 63.2 TS while being a primary target for the opposing defense. MPJ averaged similar points on 61ts while having the gravity of the best player in the world. Cam isn't as good of a rebounder as MPJ. But he's a FAR better passer/playmaker, better dribbler, SIGNIFICANTLY better defensively, and with a smaller offensive role, will likely be EVEN better with that, and finally, he's a better movement shooter than MPJ (MPJ better on catch and shoot, but eh, this allows us to run DHO with Jokic and cam to allow Jamal to play more off ball with the starting unit). The question is, if Cam could average 19 on a team as the guy, what can he do with Jokic setting him up? could be anywhere from 17 ppg on 65Ts, to 22 on 61 (my best guess). and best of all, there's now a real chance we can get a legit backup big like Yabu or (ideally imo) Larry Nance Jr
I been watching you longer than any nba YouTuber it’s insane. I watched Chris smoove before you but I haven’t watched him consistently in years. I been watching you consistently for 8 years now, and you been the same consistent through that whole time. AFD u a goat.
Bro am I the only person that’s high on MPJ. Dude isn’t a bad player. Dude gets buckets when healthy. It’s crazy. Idk ig ppl forget how good he was that championship run and 2020
This was honestly a huge win for the Nuggets. MPJ’s game only really revolved around the 3pt, and he was a huge liability on defense. But with Cam their offense is going to get so much better and efficient. Plus Cam can actually defend guys.
I still don't understand why the Nets did this. Took more expensive player and got a 2032 pick. Wow. The only thing I would imagine is that Cam really wanted to go Denver
MPJ was not a key piece of the championship run. He sucked and couldn't get a bucket to save his life. Like he always did in the PlayOffs. I'm a huge Denver fan and every single year was crying because of the him. The drop in performance in the postseason is ridiculous with him
As a nuggets fan, I’m pumped that Bruce is back but simultaneously cackling at the fact that he left a perfect situation after the championship to chase a bag and his career got derailed so hard he came crawling back to us a couple years later. “I didn’t know what I had til I lost it” ahh behavior
If you were to tell me a few years ago that mpj would be seen as the same value as cam Johnson I'd call you a crazy person, guy legit went from a potential number 1 pick to at best rotational player.
Cam will be as open as he has ever been in denver. Porter is a champion looking to make a name for himself outside 9f the jokers shadow. Good trade for both teams.

Nets continue to be poverty nuggets fleeced so hard
Ngl, I think the Nuggets lost this trade.

MPJ & Cam Thomas = KUZ & Jordan Poole
What other players did nets trade Denver. The money doesn’t work out.
Nuggets sucks btw
I remember being 10 & 11 years old and watching the New Jersey Nets advance to back to back NBA finals…. I seriously took those times for granted 😪

The Joker going for his 2nd ring

MPJ is the Michael Jordan of Tobias Harris's.
Cam Johnson also improved as a player during his time on the nets
Long story short the Nuggets sent away a forward and brought back a guard.
couldn't be happier as a denver fan. dude is paid too much to put up a triple single that often

They're almost the same player… Except that Cam actually shoots
Yabusele and jones would be fire
$204 mil down the drain
God dammit Nuggets, you already have Jokic you dont need more pieces around him, give the rest of the west a chance
World won't even be around in 2032, Denver nailed this
Cam johnson is a cheaper mpj & is probably a better locker room guy
I understand Denver trading that 2032 pick. You got the best baller in his prime now, you go all in with him now
How did the nets benefit from this trade
Immediate +5 to scoring and efficiencty to whoever on court with Jokic.
I still don't understand why the Nets did this. Took more expensive player and got a 2032 pick. Wow. The only thing I would imagine is that Cam really wanted to go Denver
I would've thought he'd get traded to the pacers but I'm glad to see cam's on a contender
Denver replaced kcp and Bruce Brown with Cam Johnson and Bruce Brown solid pick ups
Bring Dalton knetch to Denver
People forget MPJ is a consensus number 1 pick before he hurt his back he is a scorer watch him average 25

Lowkey thought Funky was about 40 already I’m sorry😂
The only concern is that MPJ is a much better rebounder than Cam. Other than that good trade for Denver.
Nets are yet to make a single trade that will make the team better or simply makes sense.
As A Lakers Fan. Denver got really better, bringing back Bruce and then they have 14-17 mil to sign more players. Al Harford would be a great fit
