the Kings made a move they they traded Yonas Valenunis for Daario Sarich in a money motivated move jonas Valenunis was on a 2-year $20 million contract although the final year was not guaranteed so in effect it could have been a one-year $10 million contract and then you have Daario Sarich on a one-year $5 million contract and so the theory is that this is a move so that the Kings can sign Dennis Shruder with the full mid-level exception while staying below the luxury tax line and so maybe that means Malik Monk is safe at least in a signin trade for Dennis Shruder i don’t know we’ll see it could totally not mean that and this could just be saving money for other reasons money motivated moves like this are are never really all that fun valenunis was a very fun guy to have around here and the Kings traded two second round picks for him at the last trade deadline and now you get no second round picks back when you’re trading the much better player Dario S is not a good player how do you not get like one second round pick back so like I said it it’s not a fun trade but I guess the things that I do like about it is the possibility of not having to sign and trade monk in that Dennis Shrud deal and then also freeing up minutes for for Maxim Renault when you can free up minutes for a young player that’s what we need to do we We should be looking to clear out guys from the Monte McNair era and so if you can open up minutes for your young center prospect then I think that’s a good thing but we’ll just have to wait and see what the money that was saved in this deal truly is used

I think they're trying to make it easier for keegan to play the 3. Also, they really like Maxime I think. For good reasons. But he's still a prospect. I think Perry deep down wants to move towards tanking
